Chapter 100

TOM was looking at the estate that he has been calling home for quite some time now. It has begun since Jessie was staying with him. After their wedding. And their explosive wedding night. The carriage came to a stop before the footman was opening the door for him.
“Thank you,” he said before he was making his way to the entrance of his house. The butler was opening the door before he was nodding at him.
“Where is my wife?” he asked as Tom was removing the hat and his coat. The butler took it before he was regarding his master.
“She has coped up in the library, milord,” he said before Tom was making his way to the library. His heartbeat was beating so fast before he was opening the door to the library. The fire has been crackled for quite some time before Tom was focusing on the woman that was sitting in front of the divan, facing the fire.
Jessie in her all glory.
She was wearing a black evening gown that was accentuated all her nice curves and figure. She was sipping some tea before she was putting the cup down before she was turning to regard Tom.
“You’re early. I thought with what that has been happening, you might want to stay away from here,” she said before she was walking toward the window. It has been past midnight before Jessie was standing all regal in her gown.
Dangerous, Tom mused before he went to the decanter to pour some wine for himself. He was swirling the liquor in his cup before he swallowed it. It has been giving some burning taste to his throat but maybe that what he needed.
To handle his spitfire wife right now.
“What makes you think that I would not be home tonight?” Tom asked before Jessie was turning to look at him. Her eyes were throwing daggers before Tom was smirking behind the glass as he was sipping on the wine.
Good, she still wanted to fight me, Tom mused before Jessie was scoffing at him. He knows that it polite company, a Lady should not be scoffing, rolling her eyes, and talking back. It was not the norm for a Lady.
It was not their etiquette tutors teach them.
But with Jessie, it would be a shame if she did not do it. It was what hold Tom from the first time when she met him.
Outside the carriage.
Saving her from the bandits.
She was the damsel in distress.
Or so I thought, Tom mused before Jessie was regarding him. She was narrowing her eyes as she was stepping closer to him.
“You think that I don’t know? Everyone knows that you prefer the company of your mistress to your wife. I know that I am inexperienced but I am willing to learn for you, milord,” she said as Jessie was clenching her jaws.
How much Tom wanted to take her on the floor, right here, right now seeing how fired up she was. Tom sipped the rest of the wine before he put the glass down and regarded his wife. Jessie was breathing hard and her eyes were dilated.
I think someone felt something other than fury right now, Tom mused before he was taking a step closer to his wife.
“Don’t touch me,” Jessie said as she was stepping back from him. Tom frowned before he was moving toward his wife.
“And why would I be doing that? You said to yourself that you wanted to learn to please me. And here I thought we might get the learning in session now,” he said as Jessie scoffed at him.
“I am not touching you until you broke everything with your mistress,” Jessie said as she was crossing her hands under her chest. Tom smirked before he was moving faster than the human.
Jessie gasped before Tom was in front of her. Her eyes were wide enough that she cannot think before Tom was gripping her nape and pulled her closer.
“Lesson number 1: never back away when you were obvious to make sure that I will suffer throughout the night,” Tom whispered before he pulled Jessie to clash his mouth with hers.

ARABELLA was looking outside the window of her private study room. It has been common knowledge that she would come here for a time to herself. Or to think. But usually, those two things were mashed up together.
Someone entered her private space but from afar, Arabella knows that it was only her husband, Aiden, the prince consort. She knows that her husband has something important to come and talk to her when she wanted to be alone right now.
Arabella turned to look at her husband before she smiled. Her husband was a handsome man and she was lucky enough to be married to him and probably in the future, they might have a child together.
Not that Arabella was waiting for the right moment, it just there was so many things to be done before she can settle down and moved to the country to raise her children with her husband.
“You’re back already? I thought you might need some more time to get things in order,” Arabella said before she was kissing her husband. Aiden was gripping her waist before she broke the kiss and she was breathing hard. As well as her husband.
Her eyes must be black as Aiden was smirking at her. He was caressing her cheeks before she was leaning into that touch.
“I am but I don’t think I can stay away from you that much longer, love. And I have a telegram from our dear friend, the baron,” Aiden said as Arabella was looking at the telegram, a piece of small yellow paper that he held between his forefinger and thumb.
Arabella arched her eyebrow as she was reaching out for it but Aiden has a different idea altogether. The young queen was looking at her husband before the prince consort was showing his teeth to his wife.
“Now, I know you wanted to know what the content of this paper was but I think I deserve so much more from you besides the kiss,” Aiden said before Arabella was rolling her eyes at her husband. But her smile told a different story.
“So, what do you want besides the kiss that I just gave to you?” Arabella said as she was looking at Aiden. Her husband was checking her out as she was wearing a thin muslin chemise that she was ready to go to the bed. His eyes were instantly dark with desire.
Dark with desire as his irises were black as the demon inside him was speaking to him. Aiden closed his eyes before he was taking a deep breath and right now he was sighing.
“You drove a hard bargain, you know that?” Aiden said as he was giving the paper to Arabella. The young queen was smirking before she was unfolding the paper and read the content. She was furrowing her eyebrows before she was smirking.
“What does it says?” Aiden asked her before Arabella was giving him the paper. Aiden read it before he was smirking himself.
“So, it begins,”
“So, it begins,” Arabella said as she was looking at the dawning was fast approaching. She sighed before Aiden was putting the paper down on the window sill. Then, she felt his cold lips on her neck.
Arabella leaned back as she was closing her eyes. She was nervous about the progress that she was making with the leaders of other supernatural but it would seem that they were doing fine.
Baron of Fell made sure of that.
“I think it is due for me to collect my payment,” Aiden whispered to her as Arabella turned to look at him. She arched her eyebrow but she was snaking her arms around Aiden’s neck.
“Oh, and what do you have in mind?” she asked before Aiden smirked at her again.
“Oh, nothing much. Just the usual you know. You and me. Sweaty and breathless on the bed. All night long,” Aiden said as she felt his hands on her sides. Arabella shivered before she was pulling her husband for the kiss.
Aiden answered her kiss in kind before she was hauled by her husband as they were making their way to the bedroom, knowing that the promise of pleasure awaits them.

JESSIE did not know that her husband’s kiss was what all it takes for her to succumb to this demon. She knows that it was a dumb thing to be falling for a Vampyre and never heard the scandals that might attach to them.
She knows better now.
Jessie was struggling to get away from her husband as she bit on his tongue. Tom cursed before she was being released by his assault as Jessie was stepping away from him. Tom was tasting the blood that was in his mouth before he turned to look at Jessie.
“You bit me,” he said as Jessie tilted her chin.
“You deserved it,” she said as Tom smirked at her. Jessie knew that her husband was a dangerous man but right now, with that smirk and all, he was even more dangerous.
Why do I have to marry a Vampyre? She mused before Jessie was stepping away from him. Tom was advancing to her as she was hitting the wall of the library. The fire crackled and before Jessie could run, Tom was blocking her way as she was trapped between his arms.
“Nowhere to go now, my love,” Tom whispered as Jessie was trying to control the tears that were brimming her eyes. She knows that this ridiculous attempt to learn about the gentry and their secrets was worth it.
But right now, she did not know what to think anymore.
“Please,” she begged as she was trying to hide the sob that was stuck in her throat. Tom did not notice it yet but she knows that she would be crying in his arms.
And the reason was himself.
“Please what, my love?” he asked before Jessie was looking at his eyes, and Tom was taken back.
“Jessie—“
Jessie pushed her husband away as she wanted to get away and not wanting her husband to know that she was being vulnerable. But she was wrong when Tom was pulling her against his hard chest and he was nuzzling her neck.
Jessie froze as she did not know what to do until she felt the prick of something on her neck. The next thing she knew, she was screaming.
