Chapter 120

LORD Randolph got off from the carriage before he was helping his wife and daughter out of the carriage for the long ride they have endured. It would only take five days from the capital to go to North Msallste since the young queen Arabella Dragomir was her father to represent her with dealing with her business here.
Ava did not know about the details but she was grateful that she would be away from the city’s hustle and bustle for some time. It helped her to think and calm herself before she can function in society again.
“Here we are! Isn’t it nice?” her father said as Lord Randolph was showing the huge mansion that was in front of her eyes. Ava smiled before she followed her parents to get a tour of the house. It was huge and it has one story. Ava was shown to her room before she saw that her trunks for her stay were already there.
Ava went to open the curtains, there was dust everywhere and she coughed a little bit. Why does it have to be so dusty? She thought before she was making her way to the door that was attached inside her room.
When she opened it, it was a dressing room with a copper bathtub sitting on the floor at the center of the room. She looked around before she was nodding and then moved to get a sense of her new room.
It was not like her old room back in the mansion in the capitol where she spends her entire life there but this will do for a week or two. Ava went out of the dressing room before she was making her way to the bedroom again. This time, she went to the desk that was situated at the end of the room on the other side of her bed before she saw there were parchment paper and some ink for her to use.
Ava smiled as she was sitting on the seat before she took a parchment and dipped a quill into the ink before she constructs a friend that she met during a ball in the south. It has been a long time since she corresponded with Caroline after she got married and it was due time for her to tell Caroline of her short stay in North Msallste.

MARSH was taking a deep breath after he has settled down in the manner that was bequeathed to him after his parents’ death. It was chilling for he had left this manor for a very long time, even though the servants were keeping the household from falling apart.
He just couldn’t see his younger self playing around when his parents were alive.
“Master Felix?” the butler said as Marsh turned to look at him. He smiled before the old butler smiled back at him.
“Care to get inside? It has been a few moments for you to stand here in the cold,” the old butler said before Marsh was looking at the old man. This butler has been here since he was a child and he barely looked age.
“I’ve seen that you are well,” Marsh said as the butler chuckled lowly at his statement.
“All the same, Master Felix,” he said before Marsh was taking in the sight of the parlor of the manor. It was waxed and cleaned before he was looking at the stairs that will be leading him to the master bedroom.
His parents’ room which was now his.
“I think I will have a ride at the beach,” Marsh said as he turned to look at the butler. He smiled. “Can you get my horse ready?” he said and before the butler can protest, Marsh went upstairs to get into his riding habits and maybe a bath as he was filled with sweat from the carriage ride for 5 days straight with occasional stops in between.

AFTER some time, Marsh was getting ready to get the horse for a ride as he was mounting it. He was smiling at the stable boy before he was tipping his hat and headed out. The beach was not that far from his manor and there was a trail to go to the beach.
He just has to follow it like he always does when he was younger.
He whipped the rein of his horse before it moved forward in the trail that he has known all his life going down that path. The breeze was strong, coming from the sea before he was whipping it stronger and stronger as the horse neighed, and then it was running toward the beach.
“Hiya! Run, Flip, run!” he said as he was smiling as the cold air was whispering against his cheeks. It was old but Marsh did not think that he would be happy to have those touched his cheeks.
Nor he would be finding someone at the spot that has been his since forever.
Marsh pulled the rein in as he motioned the horse to stop and walked instead. He was drawn to the woman that was walking down the beach without her boots and she was wearing a white cotton gown and a shawl around her shoulders.
Her brunette, long hair was whipping around her head as she bent down to take something on the sand. Without thinking, Marsh was getting down from the horse before he tied it to a tree and panted on the nose. The horse snorted.
“I will be back. I think I have found what I need,” Marsh said as he was walking down the path as he was keeping his stealth with him. Being an agent on the field meant that he was trained to be unseen.
And he thought that it would be best to keep hidden until he knows who was this woman and what was she doing on this side of his beach.
That’s right, my dear. Keep coming to this land for I will be waiting to claim you as mine, Marsh’s dark side whispered as he whistled down the lane until he could catch a glimpse of his mysterious lady again.
