Chapter 45

Viper

Sitting in my office trying to focus. I have a mountain of paperwork to do and a run to organize but my head isn’t here. It is on last night's performance by Jax and Sabine. It is on tonight's dinner with my in-laws. Sabine refused to talk to them last night so I suggested they come over to the house for dinner. Along with Casper and Nixon. I was hoping that with us there to support Sabine she would be willing to talk to her parents. Yes, they did her shitty but they are the only parents she has. It would be hard on her to lose them.

And as I look around my office I think back to Sabine’s surprise visit. Her scent still lingers in every corner of it. It makes me hope for another visit. But I know my girl is home getting ready for tonight. Since the season is dying down Sabine can eat without such a strict diet. She is still careful but she can eat a little more variety. Like bread and dessert. Sabine is more excited to be eating bread than seeing her parents. It is sad really.

There is a knock at my door pulling me from my thoughts. Probably a good thing since I need to focus. “ Come in.” I yelled out. The door opens and Ace walks in. He takes a seat in the chair facing my desk and leans back. “ What can I do for you brother?” I asked him. “ Nothing. I came to see how married life is treating you?” Ace said. I lean back in my chair and cross my arms over my chest. I can feel the smile forming as I think about my marriage. I think about waking up to Sabine in my arms. I think of having coffee in the kitchen with Sabine wearing one of my tee-shirts and a thong. I think about bubble baths together as I massage her sore muscles. I remember watching her get sweaty from working out and trying to keep my dick in control.

Then the night Sabine said she wanted to work on our marriage. And how she was still in love with me. That had been the greatest night of my life. I know my smile has spread wider. “ That good, I see. But we wouldn’t know that since we haven’t seen her at any of the club parties or dinner’s at Merigold’s. We don’t know if it was working out or if you had given up and signed the divorce papers. You haven’t introduced her to any of the club. Sabine isn’t wearing your kutte or mark.” Ace said.

I opened my mouth to tell him to fuck off and mind his own business. We both have been very busy. And I just got my relationship on track. I haven't brought any of this up to her. I know she knows about kuttes and marks since she is close with the Devils. Ace holds his hand up. “ I know you have been busy. Hell, I saw your girl last night. I don’t shit about skating but she was good. And the last bit she did with the kids was fucking awesome. I don’t think I have ever seen Jax smile that big before. And the stalker shit. Top it all off with you trying to fix your marriage. I get it. But brother, you need to bring her around the club. Let her formally meet all the brothers. Let them get to know your ol’e lady. Get Merigold on the design her Sabine’s mark and kutte.” Ace said.

“ Your right brother, I need to get on that. There has been so much going on I let it slide. I just got Sabine to agree to give our marriage a shot.” I told him. “ I understand. I do. But fuck I haven’t met my neice yet. I have only seen her from a distance. And she has to think it is odd as well that you have brought her around. Sabine knows the importance of ol’e ladies from what Goof told me. She knows she is supposed to meet all the brothers and you haven’t done that. She might start to wonder why or think you're hiding her from the club. Like she isn’t good enough for us.” Ace said. I run my hands over my face.

“ I never thought of it like that. That isn’t what I was doing. Sabine is good enough for the club.” I said. Ace nods “ Then show her. And it might help with your Ice problem.” I tilt my head wondering what he is getting at. Ace laughs. “ Goof told me Ice has eyes on your woman. He might have her already if Sabine had a clue. Goof said he can see the way Ice looks at her. If the club knows Sabine is claimed then they will have your back if you ever need it. And until you claim Sabine in front of the club, Ice might think he still has a chance.” Ace said.

I have so caught up in keeping Sabine safe and working on getting her to forgive me I hadn’t even given any thought to anything else but Ace is right again. I need to claim Sabine in the eyes of the club. “ I’ll talk to Sabine after dinner tonight. I will let you know when I’m bringing her in. I'll make sure she meets you first.” Ace stands “ I look forward to it.” After he leaves I finish up my paperwork and think about what Ace said. We need to have a welcoming party for Sabine. I twist my wedding ring. And it gives me another idea. I need to get Sabine to marry me again. I saw the video of our first wedding. It was just Sabine and me.
No family or friends to join us in celebrating. I need to fix that. And I need to propose to her again. I grab my phone and call the only two people who can help me. My first call is to Merigold. I tell her what I want to do and she has agreed to help. My next call is to the only woman I trust and knows Sabine better than anyone. Anna. After a series of squeals and giggles Anna agrees to help. I will be meeting with them tomorrow while Sabine is working with her elite team. By the time I am done it is time for me to go home and get ready for the in-laws.
