Chapter 56

Viper

We only had to wait ten minutes for Ailee to get here. She came in with Callen. Watching the Devils as she came in was hilarious. It was like they were meeting a celebrity. They were all in awe of her. I was waiting for the girlish squealing to start. They were all checking Ailee out. Well, except for Ice who had his eyes glued to Sabine. And Rocket was the worst of all of them. The badass I know her to be is gone and the drooling fan-girl is out. And I haven’t introduced them yet. Ailee hugged Ace first then went to Lug who made a show of grabbing her ass in front of everyone. Ailee playfully slaps him then comes over to me. “ Thanks for helping out. We may need your special skills.” I said. “ Aye cousin. Anything for family. Lug filled me in on what had happened. I have one condition.” Ailee says. I would give her my club if she asked for it if it kept Sabine safe. “ Anything.” I said.

Ailee places her hands on her hips and smirks. This may not be good. “ I want an introduction. Why haven’t I met this lovely lass yet?” Ailee says pointing to Sabine. Sabine steps forward holding out her hand. “ Hi, I’m Sabine.” Ailee takes Sabine's hand and pulls her in for a hug surprising Sabine. When Ailee pulls back she holds Sabine by the shoulders. “ Handshakes are for business. You are family.” Ailee says. Ailee looks at me over Sabine’s head. “ It is nice to Finally meet you.” she said. I get her not too subtle hint. I mouth ‘ This weekend.’ Ailee nods and looks back at Sabine. “ I have been wanting to meet the sassy lady that could tame our Viper.” Ailee said.

Sabine laughs “ It is nice to meet you too, Ailee. And I wouldn't say I tamed him.” “ Aye lass. I would. Own it.” Ailee says. I notice Rocket is getting closer and closer to Sabine. Sabine notices and shakes her head. “ Ailee, I would like you to meet my sister, Rocket.” Sabine said. Ailee holds her hand out for Rocket. “ It is nice to meet you, lass.” Ailee said. And Rocket suddenly had a case of word vomit. Merigold’s term not mine. “ Holy shit. The Ice Queen is talking to me and she is hot as fuck. I swear I’m wet just looking at her. If you ever want to switch teams or live out a fantasy I’m the girl to help. I would put up with Lug to get a shot at you. I would love to see you work. You are a legend. Do you take on interns? I would love to be under you.” Rocket rambled.

My brothers are trying their hardest to cover up their laughter. Ace and Lug are holding each other up. Brick, Thor, Axel and Rowdy have their arms over their mouths. The Devils are all staring at Rocket like she has lost her mind. Callen is bent over at the waist. His shoulders were shaking. Sabine’s jaw is on the floor. Sabine leans over to me. “ Honey, I think your cousin broke my Rocket.” she whispers. I lost it. I have to grab the table to keep myself from falling over. That gets the rest of them going including the Devils. Sabine looks lost and Ailee is taking it with grace that is all her. Rocket is clueless.

“ Rocket, Ailee came over to help us. Why don’t you come over here and sit with me to get your head back on straight.” Sabine said, trying to get Rocket to sit. “ Do you know who this is? She is a legend. A rock star.” Rocket babbles. “ No, Rocket. I don’t. I know she is Viper’s cousin. You are acting like a drooling fan.” Sabine says as she forces Rocket to sit down. Sabine looks at Ailee embarrassed. “ Ailee, I’m sorry. I don’t know why she is acting like this.” “ New cousin, it is fine. She is funny. Have Viper explain. But you are right we need to get down to business and deal with this nasty mess so we can keep my new cousin safe.” Ailee said.

With that we got down to business. We agreed to use Nixon as the bait. We were going to set a trap next week at the rink. Rocket and Ailee were going to be the ones to deal with Whitley and bring her back here. Now that everything was in place to finally get Sabine’s stalker I can focus on the party tomorrow. I get to let my club meet my wife and claim her in front of all of them. I can’t wait.


The next night
I was doing a walk through the club. Again. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect for Sabine. This was her first party here and I wanted her to like it. I wanted her to love it. I wanted her to be comfortable so she would want to come around more often and be part of this club. As my wife and ol’e lady. She is so comfortable with the Devils it is like a second home to her. I want the same for her here. I checked the bar for the third time to make sure we had plenty of those wine cooler things Sabine likes. She isn’t much of a drinker but on the occasion she did she liked those fruity things. I made sure there was bottled water as well in case she didn’t want to drink.

I checked on the snacks in the kitchen. And made sure there was plenty of ice. I made sure the skanks knew what their jobs were. Merigold came over to me as I was talking to the skanks telling them to be on their best behavior tonight. “ Viper, chill. Everything will be fine.” Merigold said. “ Yea, prez. We threw these parties all the time. What are you stressing about?” Deb, a skank, asked. “ This can’t be just like all the other parties. I have a VIP coming and everything needs to be perfect.” I said. “ Don’t worry Viper. We can make sure the VIP is taken care of.” Deb said.

Merigold and I shout “ NO.” “ I want you girls to stay far away from the VIP. Spread the word. And remember all the ol’e ladies will be here so if you step out of line they will know and dish out punishment.” I said. Merigold sends the skanks off and has me sit at the bar. “ Viper, I need you to relax. You are wound up so tight you are going to snap.” she said. “ I’m just making sure everything is in order.” I told her.

“ And it will be. It is going to be fine. Sabine is going to love it because she loves you. All the snacks, the drinks, it isn’t going to matter to her. She is coming to this party for you. Not us. Not because you stocked the ice three times. Not because you made sure we had her favorite music is available. Or that you have every wine cooler ever made. Although it is wonderfully sweet that you are doing this. But as long as you are by her side that is all she is going to care about. And once you claim Sabine and get your kutte on her everything else is just background noise. And if for some reason she hates all of this. Then she isn’t worthy of you.” Merigold said.

I hope she is right. I pulled Merigold in for a hug. “ How did you get so wise?” I asked her. “ I had an awesome big brother to teach me.” she said. “ And I have an awesome little sister. I love you.” I said. “ I love you too. Now go get dressed. You got an ol’e lady to claim.” Merigold said. I can’t wait for Sabine to meet my family officially as my wife an ol’e lady. I just hope I don’t screw this up.
