Chapter 69

Viper

When I proposed I didn’t want to wait long to remarry Sabine. I would have done it the next day at the courthouse but she deserved better this time around. Whatever she wanted she could have. To let her plan her ideal wedding we agreed to do it in three months. I shouldn’t have been surprised when she wanted something simple. Sabine decided that we would get married in our backyard. I thought it was perfect. That is where I am now. Watching Anna and some prospects getting the yard ready for tonight. You got it. Three months have passed and I’m finally getting married. Again. This time I will be one hundred percent sober and will remember everything.I have been part of all the weddings of my brothers but this time I’m taking a back seat. This time my best friend Thor is taking the reins.

Axel taps me on the shoulder “ We have this covered. Go grab your shower and get dressed. You have an hour before your bride shows up.” I take one last look around the yard that now has what Anna called fairy lights draped all over. There are eight rows of six folding chairs on both sides of a red runner that is the aisle with light blue fabric covering them. Wild flowers are tied to the chairs at the end of the rows. At the end of the aisel is a small wooden platform for Thor to stand on. We decided to go with a D.J so Lilly, Lug and the band could enjoy the wedding. I nod to Axel and head upstairs to shower. This last hour can’t end fast enough.

Before the shower I trim up my beard making it look neat. I jump in the shower washing my hair then my body thoroughly. Some of it is just to kill some time. When I get out I grab a towel and head to our room. I look on the bed where Sabine has my clothes neatly laid out for me. She has my favorite black jeans that are comfortable but have no holes. She has picked her favorite blue button up shirt of mine. She says it brings out my eyes. I don’t care. Sabine loves that shirt so I’m wearing it. Next she has my kutte cleaned and oiled. She even had the loose patches fixed. And she has me wearing a pair of clean white tennis shoes because she wants me to be comfortable. See, she is keeping it simple.

I had just finished getting dressed and was putting my kutte on when there was a knock at the door. I told whoever it was to come in. Merigold poked her head in first making sure I was decent then came in with Rowdy behind her. Merigold was wearing a light blue dress with wide straps that went just past her knees and her cowboy boots.. Rowdy was dressed similar to me but a white shirt. “ Looking good sis.” I said. Rowdy chuckles “ She always does.” Merigold playfully slaps him across the chest. “ You clean up pretty good, big brother. I came to check on you. It is almost time. You ready to do this?” she asked. “ More than ready.” I said with a smile.

“ Is Sabine here?” I asked. I’m nervous that she may realize I’m not good enough for her. Merigold walks up to me and smoothes out none existent wrinkles on my shoulders. “ Yes, I just saw her. Don’t be nervous.” Merigold said. “ How can I not? I fucked up so bad in the beginning.” I told her, letting my worries out. Merigold sighs “ Yes, you did Ethan. But you took your head out of your ass and fought for Sabine. You proved to her you are a better man than your previous actions led her to believe. You won her heart all over again. Sabine wouldn’t have let you claim her if she didn’t love you and trust you.” “ And we all saw at the claiming party Sabine has options and she still chose you over a man she has known her entire life.” Rowdy said.

Rowdy isn’t wrong. Sabine could have dropped me that day. And she would never have let me mark her if she wasn’t sure. “ And I am so proud of you. I was worried for a while that you wouldn’t be able to do it. But you proved me wrong and I’m glad you did. Now stop worrying and let's get you married.” Merigold giggled. I kiss her on the top of her head. “ I love you, sis.” I said. “ Love you too.” she said. Merigold opened the door and I grabbed my kutte. It was time to get my girl. We walked down stairs to the back yard. I saw most of our guests were there and seated. All of the Red Devils and the Renegades are here. Some and a few close friends of Sabine’s. Merigold escorted me to stand in front of Thor. Although she didn’t need to, I like the sediment. Thor clapped me on the shoulder and smiled.

I looked around at all the people that are here to witness the love I have for Sabine and couldn’t be happier. I was even glad Ice was here. He gets to see what he missed out on. If he had acted sooner I would have never had the chance to marry Sabine. His loss, my gain. Before I can think further soft music starts and the back door opens. Coming out first is little Lita and Alana as flower girls dressed in dark blue frilly dresses. Next was Ford as ring bearer, dressed just like the rest of the us guys including a kutte. We started with Jace and Jax having one now all the kids get one. Their patch resembles their parents' patches.

Rocket followed as Sabine’s only bridesmaid. She was wearing a dark blue knee length sundress. It was odd seeing her in anything but jeans and a tee-shirt. But I have to admit she is a good looking woman. I see the shocked look on several faces seeing her. Rocket sees it and flips them the middle finger and I have to hold in a laugh. Now is not the time because the next person that is going to come through the door is my wife. The doors open and out walks Sabine with her dad on one arm and Nixon on the other. Damn she is a vision. She has on a baby blue halter dress that stops just above her knee showing off her gorgeous toned legs. The dress pushes her tits up a little to show them off but not look trashy. Her hair is flowing down her back in loose curls, the sun hitting the blue and purple making them shine.

She is a Goddess. A vision. And she is all mine. I see Ice looking at her with a mix of desire and despair. He knows what he lost. Fucker, you can look all you want. You will never have her. You will never know what it feels like to her in his arms or the feel of her sweet lips on his. And I will get on my knees and thank any deity that will listen and say thanks. When They get in front of me I hold out my hand to Sabine. “ Who gives the lady to this man?” Thor asks. Nixon and his dad say “ We do.” and place Sabine’s hand in mine. We turn to Thor and see Casper standing beside him. I was so enthralled in Sabine I didn’t notice him go up there.

“ Friends, family, thank you for joining us today. Not only are you sharing in the joy of uniting these two people but two families.” Thor said. Not bad I think to myself. “ Honestly this is a day I hoped would never come and dreaded that it would. The day where I would hand my sister over to someone else to protect and love her. The day Sabine was born I looked into her eyes and knew no one would ever be good enough for her. And I stick by that but Viper was able to do something no one has been able to do. He stood toe to toe with her overprotective brothers, not backing down and stole her heart.” Casper said. I see Sabine staring up at her brother smiling with her eyes glistening.

“ Marriage and claiming someone is never something to be taken lightly. And we all know Viper doesn’t. We all watched as he fought for Sabine and their marriage. And Sabine being the girl I am now proud to call sister made him work for it.” Thor said, making everyone laugh. “ So we are going to help him with this part. Do you Ethan Pierce Adams, Viper, take my awesome little sister to have and hold every chance you get? Do you promise to put her before all others including your club? Do you promise to cherish her more than your bike and patch? Do you promise to keep her safe from those who wish to do her harm? Do you promise to support her in her goals and dreams for as long as you are breathing or you fuck up again and I have to kill you?” Casper asks. Now that I’m on the other end of the vows I know why everyone laughs. None of the brothers' weddings have been anything close to traditional.

“ I so fucking do.” I said, making Sabine giggle. “ Sabine Pixie Denvers Adams, do you take the very sober, trust me checked, Viper to be your husband again? To make sure he never forgets how lucky he is to have you? Do you promise to have his back as he has yours? Do you promise to love him more than any other? Will you put him before your club? Will you rule beside him as his queen?” Thor asks. When Thor asks her to put me before her club she looks confused. She still doesn’t think of herself as a Devil but she is the heart of their club. “ Do you promise to be there when he is a whiny baby when he is sick and love him even more when he is healthy until your last breath?” Thor asks.

“ Until I reach the ice rink in the sky and after.” Sabine says. “ There you have it gents and gals. These two are stuck together. Viper, give the lady her ring.” Thor says. Since I never took mine off Sabine isn’t giving me one. Ford walks up and I pluck Sabine’s updated ring and slide on her finger. “ But the power that Viper entrusted me with I now pronounce you husband and wife. Again.” he continued. “ You may now kiss my sister. Just don’t grope her.” Casper said. “ No promises.” I said, just as I grabbed Sabine and slammed my lips on hers. Since there are kids I’m keeping it light for now.

When we pull apart Sabine is glowing and the yard erupts in cheers and clapping. Rocket shouts “ It’s time to party and eat.” Sabine giggles. She squats down and motions to the kids. When they get close she hugs them and says “ You guys did great. Thank you so much for your help. But now your jobs are over. Go find your parents and more importantly have fun.” Sabine stands as the kids run off. She motions to Thor. He bends down and she hugs him. “ Thanks Thor, that was much better than the first one.” she said. Thor nods and heads to find Trina. Sabine grabs my hand “ Come on husband. Let’s enjoy the party and grab some food. I’m starving.” I laugh. Yep, I’m a lucky son-of- a-bitch.
