Chapter 58

Pixie


Before I can say a word Speed has me in a hug. When she pulls back “ Aye she is a beauty. You have done good hermano.” she says to Viper. She looks at me and says “ Welcome hermana.” I say thanks although I’m not quite sure what she said. It sounded nice. Gretchen says “ She called you sister. Speed always uses Spanish and english. You will get used to it.” When she hugs me “ Welcome. It is nice to see Viper with a good woman on his arm.” “ Thank you all for the warm welcome.” I said. “ We are going to make the rounds. I have more people to show my girl off to. You three enjoy your kid free night.” Viper said, pulling me away. “ Kid free?” I asked.

As Viper leads me to the next group he explains that they have two kids, a boy and a girl and rarely get a night out with the three of them. It was nice to see they could get out and spend some time together. Next up to meet was Lilly and Tank. I have met Lilly plenty of times before when she was doing concerts at Harry’s. Harry introduced us. Lilly squealed and jumped up and down. “ I’m so happy to finally meet you as Viper’s wife.” she squealed. I couldn’t help but laugh at her energy. I thank her. Then Tank hugged me. That caught me off guard. “ I look forward to seeing you on my table.” he said. I stepped back but Lilly just laughed and explained that he was a tattoo artist and did all the ol’e lady tattoos. That statement gave me hope that I would be there one day. Then I meet Harley, Lilly’s guide dog while Tank tells me Lilly lost most of her sight in a car accident a few years ago. He is so sweet and patient. I have always respected Lilly for her talent but to know she is blind and still manages to perform and be a parent to two kids, Sebastian and Lita. That is just wow. I think she is my new hero.

Next to meet was Lug Nut and Ailee. Then Merigold, Axel and Rowdy. It was fun talking with all of them and they made me feel incredibly welcomed. I loved it. I saw my Devils getting along with the other Renegades and I liked that too. I was worried what would happen if the two clubs didn’t get along. I have been a Devil since I was five. There was no way I could turn my back on them.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and see Ice standing behind me. “ Hey Pixie, how about a dance?” he asked. Viper growls out “ She is with me.” What the hell? “ Viper, he knows that. It will be fine.” I said. Viper sees I’m not backing down. I don’t see what the big deal is. I have danced with all the Devils at one time or another. I took a prospect to my prom with the supervision of Casper. “ Fine. But I will be right here if you need me.” Viper said. That was weird for him to say. I know where he was but I noticed he was glaring at Ice when he said it.

Ice led me to the middle of the room just as ‘ Thinking Out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran came on. Not what I would have thought to hear in a biker club but nothing surprises me any more. Or so I thought. I was about to get the shock of a lifetime. Ice and I were dancing and talking. “ Are you enjoying yourself?” he asked. “ Yes, everyone has been super nice and accepting.” I said. “ And what about you? Did you find your flavor of the night?” I asked. I noticed it doesn’t bother me like it used to. And there are other things I have noticed. I used to think Ice was drop dead gorgeous but now I admit he is handsome but nothing compared to my Viper.

“ No, I haven’t. I haven’t looked at or been with another girl in a while now.” Ice said. Could he want to settle down? No way, not Ice. He is as bad as Nixon if not worse. “ Truth is I only have eyes for one girl.” Ice said. “ Really? Who is she? When can I meet her? Do I know her?” I asked. Ice laughed. “ Calm down. Yes, you know here.” he said. “ Great, who is she? Is she good enough for you?” I asked. Ice stops us dancing and places his hands on my face. “ Pixie.” he says but instead of saying anything else he leans down and kisses me.

I’m so shocked I can’t move. I’m frozen in place. This used to be everything I had wanted. Used to being the key words here. I don’t want this anymore. Not in a while. I want my husband. I push Ice back and slap him across the face as hard as I can. I normally one for violence but now feel like it is needed. “ What the Fuck, Ice? Why would you do that? You know I’m married.”
