Episode 24

I knew I was in for the worst, but then, there was no way to escape it. I'm fated to suffer all the days of my life. I'm fated not to have a mate and live a normal life. I'm fated to experience pain, hatred, and rejection all my life.

I have to bear it that way. I don't think I've got a choice. Jason can't save me.

Each step I took towards the mansion sent more fear into me. My legs were weak and I could only drag them to move on. It was like I would fall at any moment.

"Where would I say I went to?" ...as much as I enjoyed meeting Jason, I also don't want to be beaten.

Finally, I got into the sitting room, and dad was with his wife, Elf. They were both enjoying their wines and chatting happily. My Dad seemed to love her so much, and I wished she also loved him. I wished she wasn't a demon. I would be happy for dad because at least he would get to forget mum's death, but now it isn't that way.

Elf has an evil scheme. She has many hidden secrets which no one knows except me. I can see she isn't afraid. I know this secret because it is useless. It's still as if no one knows, because not even the wind believes me when I say it aloud.

"Alpha, Elena is here, she is back..." One of the guards who led me in announced, and it seemed like my heart stopped beating. I blinked my eyes continuously, swallowing nothing.

They both turned to me, and I could see pure rage and anger in their eyes.

He stared at me from head to toe, then from toe to head. He arched his brow, gritted his teeth, and made a growl. He seemed too dumb to talk.

"Elena, how could you disobey the Alpha?" ...how dare you take the opportunity of that battle to leave this place. Do you know the damage you must have caused the alpha? " Elf snorted, and I threw a glare at her.

"I'm sorry, Dad. I went out. Please forgive me." I pleaded even when I knew it was useless, like how would my father forgive me?

He would rather torture me than forgive me, especially when it was an act of going against his order!

"Where do you go to?" He asked, with his voice deep and full of disgust and contempt. My presence was eating him deeply.

"I had a walk around, to avoid anyone seeing me, and I wore a hoody," I explained, and he scoffed.

"She is lying, darling. I'm good at knowing when someone is lying. She is a bloody liar. It seems she went to see her demon clan!" Elf blurted out, and I sneered at her, wondering if she was insane, like she was insane to say such a thing in front of me after knowing I'd discovered the truth.

"Elena, is that true?" Dad howled, standing up from the couch, having a scary face that took me aback. I am so afraid right now. Dad is the strongest of all. He's hit on me is enough to break my bones.

My heart flipped as I moved back, fear gripping me. My legs went cold.

I pleaded, "It is not true, it can never be true because I'm not a demon, I don't have any clan." I pleaded even harder.

"So, where have you gone?" he asked, drawing closer while I whimpered.

"Dad, I went to see around this town and nothing else, but you have to listen to me this last time. I know you won't believe it because I'm the one saying it. It would sound weird and you would get angry at it, but it is the truth." I sniffed, glancing at Elf, who had a gloating smile on her face.

"You dared to call me father..." he huffed, and before I could see it coming, his lunch landed on my belly, making me crash to the floor.

"That woman over there is the real demon!!! ...she is in disguise and is here to destroy our pack. Please don't fall into it. I don't want to lose you like I lost mom!" I shrieked, gritting my teeth to absorb the pain.

"What are you saying? Have you become mad already? " He asked, sneering at me.

"I swear, I saw it. She also confessed to me that she would destroy us all as revenge. I know you won't believe me, but give it a try. Call the sorcerer to give her that concoction to drink. You will see her real form blown out. I swear!!!!" I shrieked at Daddy, my heart heavy.

I was so afraid of losing any of them to the hand of Elf, yet it seems they won't listen to me.

Dad arched his brow and glanced back at Elf and then at me.

"You are trying to tell me my Luna is a demon?" He raised his brow.

"That is the only truth, and the earlier you believe it and give it a try, the safer we are," I mumbled, and he paused like he was having some thought.

"Guards!" he called out, and five of them rushed out.

"Take her into her room and lock her up. She is not allowed to come out for any reason. The key should be given to me. I can't allow her to disgrace me!" He huffed, and I quickly held his hand and knelt.

"I know everyone, including you, hates me, but please don't lock me up. Please? I still want to be cooking and...." My words were incomplete as a hot slap slammed my face from the back.

I turned and saw it was Elf. This made my heart reek with rage.

"I'll expose you someday!" She yelled, making me laugh.

"I'm a threat to you. Just watch and see!" I retorted, and dad could only stare.

"Evil girl, you went out to get more power from your clan so you can do evil because the torture has got you weakened. You will never succeed in killing anyone!" She scowled, and I glanced at Dad. He was just staring at her.

Just then, the beta, gamma, and their mate walked in,

"Has the demon girl finally returned? "So you already got the guts to leave this house?" The beta huffed with those scary looks.

"Please pay attention: Elf is a demon, and not just any demon; she also has control over the vampire. You must believe me or face the consequences later! " I shouted at the top of my voice.

This got them all enraged and furious.

The beta, gamma, and elf all fumed with pure anger, clenching their fists.

"How dare you blackmail the Luna, you evil girl!" the gamma growled.

"Did she expect us to believe that?" The beta added,

"That's how evil she can be after going to see her clan. She is calling me a demon because we already know who she is. How can I be a demon? " Elf sobbed, which infuriated everyone.

He quickly took out the wolfsbane whip.

"Guards get hold of her, I'm going to lash the hell out of her!" He seethed, his eyes bloodshot.

I shivered and cried. I wasn't ready for any more torture, not when I was trying to save them from Elf. She was shedding tears and they wouldn't see it was a pretence. They all loved her and hated me. They all believed she was a werewolf, while I was a demon.

"Please, I know you all won't believe me, so just give it a try. Call the sorcerer to check on her. If she doesn't turn to her real form, I'll kill myself." I screamed at the top of my voice, feeling my heart torn apart. That horrific dream where the whole pack was wiped out filled my memory and I could experience that terror again.

I'm not sure how she was able to conceal her true self with a different magic; I hope they believe me, but it doesn't appear so.

My body quivered as I thought of the pain the whip would inflict on me. It takes me a lot of struggle to bear it. The pain goes deep into my bones. I can't just understand why the hatred was this much.

I could only cry and beg with my eyes because my lips were shaking. Elf sobbed while the beta and gamma mates soothed her with a pat on her back. I was dumbfounded and couldn't even find a word to describe my feelings.

Dad was not saying anything, and I couldn't even tell what was going on in his mind.

"You dared to say such words to Luna, and now she is hurt. When we fought with the rogue who had become more powerful, she stood at the front and was ready to fight for our safety. You still dared to call her a demon! " The gamma yelled and also brought out his whip.

Oh, no.

I cried and shook in horror.

The guards charged in and snatched me tightly, leaving my back open for the whip to lash me.

I pray I survive this. I caught a glimpse of the whip raised and shut my eyes to receive this intense pain.

"No one should touch my daughter!" We heard the voice of Alpha Daren Wolve, my dad, and everyone turned in shock.

Am I dreaming? He just called me his daughter!
