Chapter 58
"I know, elf, right?" She asked, and I nodded.
"I'm not as powerful as she is. My powers aren't as stable as hers. We should find a way to kill her, or this pack will be extinct soon. She is a demon!" Elena cried, and I rested her head on my chest, feeling her pains.
"We can fight her together. "That is the only way to save your family. I have none now. I have no family. This is where I live and I don't want to see anyone killed. " I sighed.
"Please kill Elf for me. Dad is enamored with her, and everyone trusts her; even when I told them who she was, not a single person believed me. I don't know what her plans are, but I know they are evil! " She grumbled, sniffing back tears.
I'm not sure how strong she is, but I'll take the chance tomorrow; I don't mind dying if she dies with me. I fummed and she raised her gaze to my face.
"What?" I inquired, and she jokingly knocked my brow.
"If you dare to die, I'll slap the hell out of you. Are you dying for me to live when living without you is like death itself?" She rolled her eyes, making me laugh.
"But I need to make sure no one harms you again. Elf has to die." I pressed on.
"She must die, not you; if she is stronger than you, surrender and return here; let us suffer together; it feels better that way." She smiled, making my heart skip a beat.
I could swear she got the most beautiful smiles...
"Okay, I think I should break those chains now." I beamed and she arched her brow,
"Can you..." She couldn't finish her questions before I struck the chain with a single blow, causing it to shatter and break off her wrist.
"Wow!!!... Jason..." She displayed those white sets of teeth in happiness, making me forget the excruciating pain I got for a moment.
I was badly injured from the torture of Alpha Darren and his men. I knew I was still in pain, but I couldn't bear to see her bound, so I used my inner energy to break the chains, causing my injuries to deepen.
"Jason, thank you so much," she squealed in glee, and I forced out a smile, trying to hide my pain.
But then, I couldn't hold on any longer. Thick blood spurted out of my mouth and I fell, but she caught me again.
"Jason!!!" She screamed, seeing my eyes closed.
"Jason, don't ever die!" She yelled at me, and I felt her tears wet my face.
I smiled and opened my eyes.
"Why would I die? I said, "You told me not to die, so I'm not dying, beautiful girl." I let out a smug chuckle, making her giggle.
"You shouldn't have used your internal..."
"Shhhh," I hushed her, placing my index finger over her soft lips.
"Don't mention, you can't be in a chain while I'm free. Let's sleep so I can heal faster for the fight with Elf..." I said, and she frowned.
"Would you be strong enough to fight her? I'm serious, you'll never die for me! I won't forgive you if you die and leave me all alone! " She whined, and I couldn't hold the huge smile over my face.
I've never felt such love from anyone. Her eyes were glinting with pure passion and love. Her tone exuded care and compassion. She cared for me and never wanted me to suffer, even if it was to save her.
He was wrong. He was completely incorrect about mates.I think they are the best thing to happen to any werewolf. Some are unfortunate to have wrong or bad ones, but Elena is the best. She is the best friend anyone could have and I am so lucky to have her as mine.
"Have a good rest. If you aren't strong enough, just keep calm and stay beside me." She beamed. Her face was so angelic. I lay on her lap while she rested her head on the wall.
I watched as her eyes flutter opened and closed till they finally shut. She dozed off while I stared at her unique beauty.
Her lips were parted a bit, making her look so sexy. I got the chance to admire her closely. Her b**bs were sumptuous, and her flat belly complemented her body. I am not good at describing, but I can swear she is a paragon of beauty. so perfect!
********
Bane's POV.
"You can leave the room," I said to my servant just immediately after he handed me the invitation letter.
He had told me it was from Alpha Darren of the Silver Moon Pack. I was kind of surprised because I had no business with the werewolves since I'm more powerful and magical than all of them.
I ruled the Dragon Clan, who were fewer than the werewolves but got extreme powers. The last time I had anything to do with a werewolf was when she captured my heart.
That moment when Lillian of the Blue Sky Pack came here with Elf will never leave my mind, and it has been all I have thought about since she vanished from the earth's surface.
I was clear she must be dead, but I just couldn't bring myself to believe that. I had visited the Demon Clan to confirm the rumour I heard but got no useful information.
Her friend couldn't tell me where she was; instead, she preferred using it to get close to me. I hated her deeply for that and banned her from crossing the boundary.
I get giddy every time I remember that night when we had sex. How would I have known that night would be the last time we would be together? She was nowhere to be found, and I waited for years for her to return, but she never did.
I stared at the letter for some seconds, wondering what could be in it. Could it be related to Lillian?
I had to tear the cover off immediately and bring out the letter itself.
My brow arched at what I read. I was confused.
"A werewolf named Jason from the Red Moon Pack used the power of the Dragon to unleash terror on the war ground."
How possible could that be?
There had never been any hybrids like me before. ... I had only trained Lillian and given her my powers, not anyone else.
I need to meet him!
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
"Who is there at this time of the night?" I huffed.
"Mikel... I have got a piece of information to pass on to you. I can't wait till tomorrow to say it! He replied, and I opened the door with my eyes.
He rushed in and bowed.
"I overheard a discussion from some group of the maidens. Their voices were low, so I curiously listened attentively and was shocked at what I heard," he said, leaving me more curious.
"So what is it?" I asked abruptly.
"Lillian was pregnant for you," he revealed, and the letter slipped from my grasp as my heart skipped a beat.
I found it hard to believe. It left me transfixed in shock. The thought of having an heir with the same hybrid left me gasping.
I had never had a child. It was said that I could never have one since I had great powers which no womb could carry the hybrid I would form. So what was I just hearing?
"Mikel, are you here to play pranks on me or pull my legs?" I asked with a raised brow.
"I dare not. I couldn't believe it until one of them said she knew where your child was," He said, and my mouth gaped as my eyes widened in shock.
