Chapter 43

Darren's POV
"Where are my son and daughter?" I asked my guards, who bowed their heads without saying a word. They were dumbfounded as this had been the fifth time they had gone out to look for them.

It was still not really in my view, even when they hadn't found them for this last round. I won't believe my children were kidnapped or taken away. It isn't possible and no one would ever dare me to that extent.

"Where are my children?" Elf asked, standing up from the seat beside me as the men all shivered.

"What about the guards that go around with them?" ...what the hell are you guys trying to make me believe? " I seethed with anger swelling up.

"We don't know what happened. There is no trace of them. They were seen in school. It all happened outside the school," the leader of the search team explained, swearing all over his face.

"So is Jason also missing?" Elf asked.

The guard was about to give me a reply when the Beta and Gamma rushed in with a confused look.

"What are we hearing? Your children are missing? " They both exclaimed, their tone showing how shameful it sounded.

"I don't think so. No one can dare me Alpha Darren to that extent, knowing what I can do!" I growled, clenching my fist.

If, actually, it is true, I was going to destroy anyone who had done this. I swear!!!

"They were kidnapped after school. Have you inquired about Jason, Scarlett's mate? They are always together, so I think he should know what happened to her!" The Beta fumed.

I said the same thing! Where is he? " Elf inquired.

"Jason is in his pack. There is no news of him being missing either!" The head guard replied, and I jolted up in anger.

"Get him here!" I ordered at the top of my voice,

"Yes, sir!" They bowed and made to leave when one of my guards rushed in, breathing heavily.

"Alpha!" He called out, his tone exuding fear. He fell to the ground, leaving us staring at him confusedly.

"What is it? ... What happened? " The Gamma asked with his gruff voice,

"I was so lucky to escape!" He breathed more heavily, like his breath was held.

"Escape from who?" Everyone asked at the same time, peering at him with one countenance.

Curiosity,

I yearn to hear from the coward who dared me this far. I was going to destroy him immediately. It still shocks me how someone got the guts to kidnap my children. I wonder what gave him the courage.

Was that person calling for war?

Then he made a huge mistake which would take his life and the lives of his family and pack!

I don't know who this man was, but he was powerful enough to kill all the men guarding Scarlett. I was so lucky that even when they dug into my heart with their claws, he cried in pain, and that was when I could see the thick blood flowing off his chest profusely.

"What?..." This is not real! The Beta gnashed his teeth as it was all clear to us. It was vaguely in everyone's mind what these men sought.

War!!!

It gave me a deep grin; they had overestimated their capabilities, which would lead to their extinction!

"You mean there was no way to recognize those men!" Elf yelled, angrily.

No, they were good at the cover. No matter how we tried, we couldn't, but...I have news about Jason! He added, and our eyes glistened in curiosity to hear what he would say.

I was so eager that I felt the urge to squeeze words out of his throat. I wasn't concerned about his pain from the sounds making him have slurred speech. He should spit it all out immediately.

"What about Jason?". Does he have a hand in all this?" Elf succeeded in throwing the question before anyone else, as that was what we were all eager to ask.

You can't tell how the rage in me was boiling. My wolf was already growling in great anger, and all I wanted was to find a place to vent it all. I just needed to hear who did all this. It must be a pack, and I couldn't wait to hear whose pack it was.

It would be their end!

My claws were already sprouting out, my body was hot, it was so unbelievable yet happening for real.

"Tell me what you know about Jason!" I thundered impatiently.

The man took a deep breath, yelped, and grunted for breath. There was no doubt the pain was growing and could kill him, but I needed this message first!

"Jason took Scarlett to his pack after school!" He finally spoke out, and my jaw dropped. My eyes widened in surprise.

"Go and get that son of a b***h here!" I thundered, but then, the head of the warriors walked in that moment.

"The men I sent to get him in his pack never returned!" He announced, and I gaped at him in surprise as the truth dawned on me.
