Chapter 56
Elf's POV
I fixed my gaze on Jason and was more confused about who he was. Everyone knew he was the son of Alpha Javier, but not until he showed his hybrid powers of the dragon.
The only man who got that power was King Bane. With both the Wolf and Dragon beasts in one body, I'm curious about his relationship with the man I love.
At that moment, he would tell me whatever he knew about Bane. At some point, it seemed he might be from the same clan as King Bane. How would I dare to hit him?
I just hate him for having an affection for Elena so deep that he won't fight back against her father and family.
I smirked at Darren. I think I guessed right. His powers lie inside that royal house, and I have made a huge success of razing it down. He was already weak from hitting Jason, but he tried to keep going because he didn't want anyone to find out how powerless he had become.
I'm winning already. I can't wait for Dorian to come back only to find his father's pack in ruin.
He can't run forever; he will surely return and meet his death.
"We can't let him stay strong. He should be tortured terribly alongside Elena, and I know how we can do it. "I spoke up, and they all paused and turned to me.
"I have a special fire mixed with silver. It can tear his soul apart and turn him into a sissy. The same for Elena. We should make them that way since they can't be killed with royal blood. We are risking our lives by letting demons stay among us!" I said curtly.
"Elf, you are the demon here. Stop deceiving yourself!" Jason yelled at me with a deep grunt of pain.
I sneered at him and turned back to Darren.
"But is he a demon or a dragon?" The Beta asked.
"I'm confused since we saw his dragon powers then," His Mate added.
"We would then consult King Bane to tell us how someone from the wolf kingdom got the same power as his!" Darren stated with a deep growl, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
"Take him away to the dungeon!" He ordered and walked away feeling both enraged and sad. His eyes were dim with weakness, his head sagged, and I knew it wouldn't take much for me to take his life.
But what will be my fate when King Bane finds me here?
Oh Gosh!
I walked away feeling so perturbed, but then a wide smile escaped my lips as I thought of something.
This was my chance to go back home with Bane.
I smirked and headed straight into my secret room, making myself invisible.
With the face of Lillian, I will return with Bane without stress. Since he is looking for Lillian, he will find her.
*************
We had all moved into a new building, a new packhouse. We were going to stay right there temporarily while a new Royal House was being built. Everyone looked normal. They were glad the war had ended in our favour. They were glad we were able to win the Red Moon Pack, but little did they know what we had become.
It would only be a matter of time before we were wiped out; the demon clan would undoubtedly attack at some point, and that would be the end of the Silver Moon Pack. I was the reason we survived every war; I was the greatest warrior, the greatest Alpha, killing more people than anyone else with my powers...
What about now? I'm a pauper. The demon clans used Elena to destroy me. I wonder how they found out my source of power. I can't even tell if they already knew or were trying to check.
The fear of dying was worse than death itself. Everyone had gone to bed. Everyone must be enjoying their sleep, not knowing we would be extinct very soon.
I'll kill Elena and Jason before I die. That would at least salve my saddened heart.
"You aren't sleeping?" I heard the voice of Elf.
"You don't have to care; just have your sleep!" I snapped with a deep sigh.
"You look so depressed."... What is eating you up?" She asked, making me sigh again. I didn't feel like talking. I had no strength to explain my fate, but then, I needed someone to share my problem with, someone who would soothe me with words and hope, even when they would be lies.
"You won't understand?" I hissed, shutting my eyes with my mind flashing to the scene of the burnt Royal Packhouse. It broke my heart even more, and for a brief moment, I wished I could turn back the hands of time.
If that was possible, I wouldn't mind guarding the house other than being on the war front or at least, sending almost all of them to protect it.
"Are you still disturbed about the burnt Royal Packhouse?" She asked, peering at me.
I breathed and covered my face with the duvet. The truth is that I shouldn't hide anything from my Luna, like she is the only one I should share my secrets and worries with, but each time I decide to say it out, I feel a great restrain in my heart.
"Is there anything you lost in that house that you can't get anymore?" She questioned,
"Get back to sleep and stop asking me those questions!" I snapped, getting kind of angry with her even when I couldn't lay hand on any reason.
"How do you intend to kill Elena?" She asked, and I pulled off the duvet from my face.
"I can't understand why I kept that cruel demon alive all this time. Even if I can't kill her, I should ban her from the pack and leave her to the fate of the enemies. She would surely meet her doom out there!" I grumbled, sitting up immediately as my heart grew heavy with anger.
"I have a way to kill her instantly!" She suggested it with a cold voice.
"How?" "Tell me how I can get rid of that demon!" I snorted.
Once the mixture of silver and the blood of her mate is mixed, once she drinks it, she will die! Elf replied, leaving me confused.
"How are you sure of that and when did you do such research and find out something like that?" I asked, and she smirked.
"I won't tell you how I knew it until you tell me your reason for keeping those secrets from me. Since you don't trust me, I don't think I trust you either!" She seethed, rolling her eyes.
"What is the secret?" I asked with an arched brow,
"What did you lose from the razing down of the Royal Pack?" 'Are your powers in there?' She asked, and I cringed so hard, my jaw dropped, my eyes fluttered and flickered as I felt fear grip me.
"'What did you just say?' I asked with a raised brow, trying to hide my fear in my voice.
"Didn't you hear me well? You look shocked and terrified. Why?" She asked, and I heaved a deep sigh to calm my nerves. This is my deepest secret, which I won't let anyone know, especially now that I have no more power and no one can be trusted.
"I think I'm getting so sleepy now!" I muttered and shifted my gaze to the other side of the bed, my heart racing rapidly and loudly.
Who told her about the special power I got? Why was she asking those sensitive questions? She is my Luna, but there are things I keep secret from her. I'm afraid of being hunted down.
