Chapter 48 She-rogues
(Alexander POV)
I told Hope to go and finish the spell she was trying to make for clothes to appear on shifters. I didn't want her to hear about the she-rogues. She said she was going to see Alicia and take a break. She gave me a kiss and walked toward The Trusted Home.
Mark and I go to my office to talk.
"Are you telling me the two hundred rogues...were all women?" I asked Mark.
"Yes. Unfortunately all the rogues killed by Yuri, Alarick and Alarick's men shifted back to women. The signs of abuse evident on their bodies."
"The one we have here? Abused too?"
"Raped, whipped or kicked... or maybe all of the above." Mark answered. I shake my head.
"Has she been interrogated? Is she part of The Rogue Lord's army?" I asked him.
"Don't know. Haven't started with questions either. She was pretty out of it. We wheeled her into the dungeons," Mark answered.
"Let me call Alarick and see what he knows so far." I dial the number and put my phone to speakerphone.
"Alexander, my good friend, what do I owe the pleasure?" A deep laughing growl came from the other end.
"Alarick, bud, I'm here with Mark. We just need some information about the rogues."
"Sure, sure. Was a bit of fun playing around with them until we found out they were all women. Couldn't smell the woman on them. Their handlers must have disguised their scent with male pheromones or could have injected them with male hormones to make them stronger. I'm waiting for the pack's doc to hand me the results of their blood tests. I'm telling you, Alex, they were strong. And boy, did they put up a fight."
"Some of the ones we killed had abuse written all over their bodies. There was this one female though that showed some kind of enhancement. Looks like it's one big science project."
"And the one who had evidence of enhancement, how was her fighting skills?" Mark asked.
"She was good, hurt some of my men. Yuri got to her though. Yuri may be big, but he ain't slow. That's for sure," Alarick said.
"Malcolm said you took a prisoner. Have you spoken with her?" I asked.
"Not yet. We're pumping her with vitamins and the good juice. The reason why I took her in was because she collapsed. Ain't gonna kill a wolf who can't fight. No honor in that."
"Thanks Alarick. You send me a list of what you need from me. Tell Yuri to do the same."
"Sure Alex. I'll call you when I get more answers. If The Rogue Lord is the one in charge of all this, he is one sick sonofabitch. Having women do his dirty work. Such a piece of shit!" Alarick growled.
"I know what you mean. I have the one that Malcolm caught. I'll see if I can get some bloodwork going and get some answers. I'll swap information when I get it. Thanks Alarick!"
"No problem, Alexander. My pack is on high alert. Call you when I have some more info." Alarick hung up.
"Start bloodwork on the she-rogue. Get samples of hair, skin, and urine. I want to know what's in her system. Have someone check for rape. After you've collected specimens, give her food, vitamins, water and treat her wounds if she has any."
"Will do, Alpha." Mark nods his head and leaves the office.
I dial the number of my informant. His information was evidently lacking.
"No names." The voice growls.
"She-rogues. What do you know of them?" I asked him.
"The she wolves born by women kidnapped for birthing are usually shipped up north," he answered.
"Anything else?"
"Some return to be part of The Rogue Army." There we go.
"How many?" I ask.
"Just a handful," he replied.
"Enhanced she-wolves?" Maybe he knew something.
"Yes, some of the biggest and ugliest," he said.
"Get me the information on where they are being shipped up north," I tell him.
"Got it." Line goes dead.
The Rogue Lord has been very busy. To protect his men, he created enhanced she-rogues to be his first line of offense. By the time the warriors of a pack get to The Rogue Lord's men, they'll be either tired or injured. If he has 5000 strong rogues in his army, we should expect The Rogue Lord to have that many she-rogues as well. The two hundred she-rogues were probably the weakest of the army and thus, expendable. I'm guessing their handlers wanted to see what actual damage they can do.
I know the women in my pack have been trained to fight. Amanda is one of our best warriors, but things change when you have a pup. But, enhanced she-wolves who have the strength of men? Not impossible to kill, but will definitely be difficult. I need to see what damage Hope can do without her magic. I'll set her up with David at the pack's high school and see how she fares.
I need that information on the location of that place in the north. I need to ask my mother to use her connections.

(Hope POV)
When Alexander asked me to finish my project, I knew he didn't want me to know details about the rogues. I shrugged, I'll know sooner or later. Probably much later as I saw Mark and Alexander walk back to the mansion, business on their faces.
Well, I'll go bother Alicia at The Trusted Home. Maybe she has information I could use. Maybe Oliver or David were there. After I helped Alexander from the Dark Witch, I could see I had finally gained their respect.
I walk in the huge hotel-like building. Whoever gets to live here has a life of luxury. I, myself, wouldn't mind living here. Imagine living hotel life every day.
Some of the wolves there who saw me enter, bowed then left in a hurry. Strange. Are they scared of me? Great. My persona of the 'she-wolf with the lightning' probably scared them. Better to avoid me than get in my way. I guess I need to show them my more charming side.
There was a she-wolf seated at the reception table of the home. She was very pretty. A platinum blonde haired she-wolf with dark blue eyes that looked almost purple. She was wearing a skimpy top which showed her cleavage. Her long hair flowed down her back with some of the front hair curling just right at her well-shapes breasts. She reminded me of the most popular girl in my high school. You know the one who just bats her eyelashes at the boys and gets everything she wants. Well, maybe she's nicer than that girl from school.
"Hi!" I smile at her. She puts down her phone and looks at me, clearly annoyed. Nope, she's not nicer. She's the same. Ugh. I'm in high school all over again.
"Uhm, Luna Hope, the mansion is that way." She points towards the direction of the mansion. She picks up her phone again hoping I'd disappear.
"I was hoping you'd know where Alicia is. Just point me in that direction." I smile sweetly at her.
"That is what mind linking is for. Of course, what would you know. You're human." She says in disgust.
"There's nothing wrong with being human. My parents are human," I argue back.
"Of course you believe there's nothing wrong about being human because you are human. As for me and as well as many others, being wolf is everything. You see, Luna, my parents are wolves who are very much alive. While your real parents are..."
"Ava, enough!" Oliver growled at her sinisterly. He had obviously overheard her comments. "You are to respect Luna Hope at all times!" He exclaimed.
"Beta, I was just having a conversa-..." Ava started to argue.
"That was not a conversation!" Oliver's voice got loud. Some of the other wolves started to come near, watching the spectacle.
"To all the wolves here in The Trusted Home, you are called TRUSTED for a reason. If you can not adhere to the trust given to you, I will personally go to the Alpha and have him remind you what TRUST really means."
"You will at all times give respect to our new Luna. No matter what you think. Ava, apologize to Luna Hope," Oliver ordered.
"I have done nothing wrong. Why.." Ava wasn't able to finish her sentence.
"NOW!" Oliver snarls, his fangs out.
"Luna Hope, forgive me. I was out of line." Ava bows low, showing the back of her neck to me in submission.
"As punishment, I want you to serve food tonight." Oliver tells Ava.
"Yes, Beta." She bows one last time and leaves.
"Oliver, you didn't have to do that. You scared her." I told Oliver.
"Better me than you. I had a vision of her stuck on a post, lightning striking her." Oliver laughed. "Sorry about Ava. I warned Alpha Alexander not to be too friendly with her. It came to a point she thought she was going to be Luna."
"I get it...ex-girlfriend." I smiled.
Oliver nodded. "Imagine her being Luna. She would treat every one as her slave. Well, Alpha always liked them blonde... B-before h-he met you that is." He stuttered his apology.
That was how Alicia saw us. "I was in the laundry room. Wash day." She pointed at the basket of freshly laundered clothes. "I heard you shouting, Beta. Did someone hurt you, Luna? Gosh, so sorry I wasn't here to protect you."
"Alexander's ex-girlfriend," I told her.
"You met Ava! She's so nasty. Only time she's on her best behavior is when Oliver, David or Mark are present. I should know. I was part of the household staff. And she always leaves her underwear lying around. Gross!" Alicia wrinkles her nose. We all start laughing. That was gross. Obviously, Alexander and her had an intimate relationship. Must have been hard to swallow I became Luna.
"Alexander has some business to attend to about the, uhm, rogues. He practically shooed me away. Oliver, maybe he might need you," I said.
"He mind-linked me to keep an eye on you here. Good thing I got here just in time. I don't want a tornado to appear. I like living here," Oliver said.
"I wasn't going to do anything to her. I was actually admiring her. She's really pretty."
"On the outside. She's super ugly on the inside. Thank Goddess Alpha is mated. I don't have to deal with his clingy girlfriends anymore." Oliver raises his finger, someone was mind-linking with him. "We have a problem. Damian and Derrick Lancaster is here."
Alicia drops her laundry.
