Chapter 72 A Well Executed Plan

(Hope POV)

"No!" The Butler screams. He stands up, his fangs and claws out, but stopped in mid stride. "Rogues, capture the daughter of Adella or The Rogue Lord will have your heads!"

The two rogues who stopped Elliot from hitting me shook their head. "We pledge allegiance to the daughter of Adella." One of them howls to the men in the area. All of them howl back. "It is done. We no longer serve The Rogue Lord." The one who howled said.

"You ungrateful good for nothing..." Elliot started to shift , but found himself having difficulty moving. I walk to the little girl and the mother and escort them to the door where a young blonde woman was waiting. "Come on, I'll get you to safety." The blonde haired woman smiles at me and nods before escorting the humans out of the building.

I sit down on the couch where the mother and the little girl were seated. Elliot and The Butler were manuevered to stand in front of me.

"See, I don't need to use my magic. Unlike you, I have friends." The Butler screeched at me at frustration.  "Awww, you think we didn't know about the poison you had Lawrence slip into a glass of red wine to repel my magic? Now, Butler, I want you to get on your laptop and wire Lawrence the money you owe him."

"You can not make me do that." He spat at me.

"Oh yes I can. He slipped the elixir as promised. I drank it and now I'm here in front you. Those were the terms of your agreement. Now, go on." His briefcase sets itself on the table, opens and the laptop sets itself on the table beside the briefcase.

"I will let you go after you have wired him the money into his offshore account. You have my word."

"I will not be double-crossed by the daughter of Adella!" He wheezes. I thought he was going to have a heart attack.

"Stop calling me that. My name is Hope." I drum my fingers impatiently on my clutch. "Come on. Don't you want to go home to your master?" I scoff at him. I look to the rogue who howled. "What is your name?"

"I am called Howler, but my given name is Amos."

"Amos, round up your men. You will be coming with me." He bows and leaves to have his men regroup outside of the building.

"I'm getting impatient, Butler." Alexander finally enters the apartment with Alarick and Yuri behind him.

"I see business here isn't done yet. Let's help speed things along so we can leave." The Butler moves and is seated in front of his laptop. His finger is placed on the fingerprint pad and his face is placed in front of the camera for a retinal scan to unlock it. Alexander starts typing and scrolling. He whistles. Apparently, they had a lot of money from all the pillaging they did.

"And done." Alexander closes the laptop.

"I will be letting you go to tell The Rogue Lord if he wants to continue living, he will leave all of us, all clans alone. As for your Rogue Army, my offer stands. They can pledge allegiance to me and I will provide for them. As for Elliot here, he comes as my prisoner for attacking me this morning." Alexander takes a syringe from his pocket and jabs it into the arm of Elliot. A few moments later, Elliot falls and Yuri picks him up and hoists him over his shoulder to take with us.

"Good night, Butler. I hope to never see you again. If I do, you will not like what I will do to you." I tell him. Alarick walks up to him and punches him in the face and the Butler falls onto the floor, knocked out.

(Maria POV)

During the Hemming Event, Hope asked me to come with her. A car was waiting for us outside and she hurriedly ushered me in.

"Where are we going, Hope?" I was surprised we left the event. She was driving pretty fast for a non-New Yorker who didn't know her way around.

"The third Priestess calls on us for help." She tells me without even looking at me.

"Third Priestess? Who?"

"You will see." She screeched to a halt in front of an apartment building at the Upper East Side. "Come, she needs our help."

I get out of the car and I see two people, women, on the pavement. One was crying while cradling the head of the other woman on her lap. Leia!

"Hope." Leia calls out, her eyes staring into the sky. She looked like she was dying. Her injured hand was leaking out what looked like black blood. Hope puts a comforting hand on the shoulder of the woman crying. "It's ok. I'm here to help." The other woman nods her head and moves away to give us space.

"Priestess, I am here." Hope grabs hold of her hand and kisses her forehead. "Moon Goddess and my ancestors of Lupa, I call on you to heal the third Priestess to complete the circle of the ring." She motions for me to grab her other hand and hold the other hand of Leia to make a circle.

A yellow light circles around us and Leia is lifted from the ground, floating with her eyes closed. A white light spreads throughout Leia's body making her glow and it bursts, transforming Leia to what she was once before, a beautiful blonde woman, now covered in a green gown.

My hand starts to glow with a blue light, forming into a blue ring while Leia's hand glows green which forms a green ring.

"May the light shine on you, Priestesses of the Ring. For the greater good, my children." The light disappears and Leia floats back to the ground, transformed.

"High Priestess, thank you." Leia starts to cry. She was also given a second chance just like me. We all hugged each other. We were now sisters.

"Leia, is that really you?" The woman calls out her.

"Yes, it is me Jessica." They hug each other and kiss.

"High Priestess, the Rogue Lord's henchmen is here. He has plans to abduct you." Leia tells Hope.

"In due time, Leia. For now, go and be happy. I will call on you when the time requires it."

And now the time required it. Hope had called on the both of us after this morning's failed attempt to abduct her.

The beauty of invisibility, when done properly, no one will see you. We went to Lawrence's building, unnoticed by anyone and entered his office without any problems.

"Hope? Leia!" Lawrence exclaimed upon seeing his daughter.

"Hello Father." Leia bowed her head.

"What is the meaning of this?" Lawrence exclaimed. I saw Hope wave her hand. She probably casted a spell so no one can hear us.

"Where are my manners? Lawrence, this is Maria and of course, your daughter, Leia. They are my Priestesses. I am what they call the High Priestess of Lupa." Hope walks to one of the chairs and seats herself. "You see, I was almost abducted today by The Rogue Lord's men. Strange because Lucian invited me to have lunch with him and Amanda even though Amanda is back at the territory and he is on his way to France." Hope looks at Lawrence dead in the eye. "I know of your money problems Lawrence, so that leaves you with motive."

"Are you here to kill me?" Lawrence starts to sweat and I can smell the fear from him.

"Of course not, Lawrence. I'm here to make you a deal. You just have to tell me what The Rogue Lord has planned." His phone suddenly rings. "It's the Butler, the right hand man of The Rogue Lord." He tells us. He starts to sweat again and we knew he was scared.

"Answer it. Do not worry. I have casted an invisibility spell." Hope ushers us to enter the bathroom of Lawrence's office. "Girls let's stay here. I smell a familiar scent." We group together with the door of the bathroom open a bit and watch. Hope points to the window where a small army of rogues can be seen through the windows. The door suddenly opens and a small man with a briefcase enters.

Leia and I looked at each other. We knew who that was. The Gamma was here in New York City doing The Rogue Lord's dirty work.

"There are two vials. One vial is enough to incapacitate her. The other is insurance that nothing goes wrong." The Gamma turns to leave.

"Wait. How do I know if it has affected her?" Lawrence asks.

"She will feel weak. Imagine the effects of wolfsbane. You will know. And Lawrence, do not fail." He bows his head and leaves. Hope walks to Lawrence's desk.

"So they plan to drug me. How much Lawrence? How much for my capture?" There was a sadness in his voice. Wolves found it easy to throw her to The Rogue Lord.

"$7Billion. They already sent me 1 Billion as downpayment. I need all that money to keep my empire. It'll make me the richest among the wolves again." Lawrence laments his decisions. He sits down, looking at the vial with the red elixir.

"What do you have to do, Father ?" Leia asks. "$7Billion Is a lot of money. The Rogue Lord won't be happy if you defy him.

"I need to slip this into your drink later tonight. Watch you drink it and call them once you feel the effects. They will call you to lure you to an undisclosed location, alone." Lawrence puts his face in his hands. "I'm so sorry Hope."

"We can make an antidote, Hope." I tell her via mind link. "Diane and I know how to make an antidote for that particular poison. We just need to find all the herbs to make it."

"Good. We can ask Amelie where we can find the herbs." She mind links back. Hope takes a look at the vials. "I suspect someone will be watching you to make sure you give the elixir to me. Do what they say. I will drink it and I will do whatever they want me to do so, you will receive your payment."

"Are you sure Hope?" Lawrence shocked Hope will take part of it.

"Yes. Place your glass next to mine to switch. I will see you later tonight at the Four Season's, Lawrence. Oh, one more thing Lawrence." Hope turns around to face Lawrence, clearly forgetting to tell him something.

"Yes?"

"I need you to do one thing for me as payment for what I will do for you."

"Anything. What do you ask of me, Hope?"

"I need you to lift the death sentence you gave Leia and allow her to return home if she wants to although she already belongs to my pack. Do tell Alpha Luciana that Leia here has been cleared."

"Done. You do this for me, Leia is cleared. You have my word." Hope nods.

"Let's go girls. We have an antidote to make although both of you will be enough to do the magic for me tonight." Hope mind links us.

Before Diane left for Seattle, she created the antidote in Amelie's laboratory. Amelie had almost every herb she could find from around the world in her laboratory.

Hope made Leia and I invisible. At the party, she drank the wine from Lawrence's glass. She excused herself to go to the restroom once she started to feel the effects. In the restroom, she downed the antidote. After she received the phone call, she sprayed so much perfume on her to mask our scent. An attendant was already waiting for us when we walked out of the restroom. I mind linked Oliver all the necessary information and casted a spell of invisibility on those seated at Hope's table before we exited the ballroom.

The Gamma was waiting beside the car and opened the backseat of the car. Leia went in first, as gentle as she could and while Hope was bargaining with the Gamma, I climbed in beside Leia. Hope was able to get the Gamma to have her sit in the front seat.

When we got to the little girl's apartment building, we waited for the Gamma to open Hope's door to exit on Leia's side. Hope took her time entering the building, making sure we enter first. We ran to the 4th floor and peaked through the door. The elevator doors opened and we walked out from the stairwell to walk ahead of Hope. Leia stayed outside by the door while I walked inside and waited until Hope needed my help. I interfered once I saw the man with the sedative advance towards Hope. After he fell to the ground, I raised my hand and held the Butler's arms pinned down to his sides. Then, I took hold of the Gamma. I moved them around the apartment like chess pieces without Hope ever lifting her finger.

I felt envious Alarick got to punch the Butler in the face. I have always wanted to slap that malicious sneer off his face.
