Chapter 84 The First Phase of the Alignment

(Amelie POV)

"When I was young girl, I worked as a grape picker in one of the biggest vineyards in France. I was an omega in my pack and these menial jobs were reserved for us. My mother and father toiled the soil before me, so it was expected of me to do the same. However, one day this white crystal caught my eye. Thinking it was of monetary value, I picked it up and was transported to the most beautiful world I had ever seen. It had 3 moons, a golden sky and the water of its oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams all were a color purple." I point to a big painting I had made hanging on the wall, a remembrance of that unknown world I had visited.

"The people who lived there had either golden or silver eyes. They were all shocked that a being like me with different colored eyes was transported to their world. I explained I came from the planet Earth and had found this crystal on the ground. When I picked it up, poof, I woke up there."

"They told me a group of them once visited a planet centuries ago which fit my description. Some had asked to stay here on planet Earth while the rest decided to go back before the wormhole, that provided the path to Earth, closes. They had said those who decided to stay had found love. They had apparently mated with wolves, a union blessed by the Moon Goddess."

"The bloodline of Lupa dates back centuries ago, each Lupa giving birth to a daughter with golden eyes. As such, the bloodline of Velvela," I nod my head to Jacques, "also dates centuries ago, each Velvela giving birth to a son with silver eyes." I show them the family trees of both Lupa and Velvela.

"The bloodline of Lupa has been more popular among the wolves since each Lupa has the power to heal life-threatening injuries as well as conjure and control the elements. Velvela, on the other hand, they are able to control time." I motion to Jacques to show them his gift using the birds I had in the aviary, and with the wave of his hand, they stop. He then waves his hand and the birds start moving once again. He slows down time and the birds slow as well.

"That's amazing." Hope says. Maria sighs and we all look at her amused.

"I found Jacques when he was a boy wondering the streets of France. The beings from the other planet, communicate with me somehow through that black shard. I saw him in a dream. I have kept him hidden all this time so The Being would not find him. He is actually still angry with me for not allowing him to come to my mating ceremony."

"What happened to his parents, Your Excellency?" Hope asked.

"His mother died from sickness and his father, distraught, killed himself. Wolves in France do not take kindly to pups without parents." They all nodded their head in understanding.

"I raised Jacques as my own and now, I have appointed him as my personal mage." I take Jacques' and Hope's hands. "Both of you are the insurance the beings from the unknown world have left to fight The Being encased in black stone. I had thought it was not on Earth until Arthur told me The Great Shadow's pack had kept it hidden all these years." I look at Maria.

"Oh my gosh, that black crystal ball has something in it?" Maria said. "I didn't know. My uncle would speak to it and everyone just thought he was losing his mind. That Black Stone taught my uncle evil and it ate up his body and he became what he is now...a black shadow."

"Adella and I, we would come to see it sometimes Adella wanted to master essence stealing. I always told her to refrain from doing so because it might cost her more than it was providing her. She said it spoke to her and I thought she was losing her mind as well. I banned her from ever seeing it again. That was when Adella started hating me. Then of course the issue with Brandt." Maria's head hung with shame.

"Nevermind that now. In a few minutes the alignment will commence. The beings from the other world, they wish to speak with you." I look at Hope and Jacques. Hope nods her head.

"I can't believe my bloodline comes from an alien race and I will be speaking to them. My life is just full of surprises." Hope says and moves to stand in front of the white crystal.

"Jacques, you also. Stand beside, Hope. You girls stand behind them." I look at my watch. "One more minute. May the Goddess bless you both." I stand near the pillar, counting down the seconds.

When the abuse from my former pack was no longer bearable, I went to New York not only to make a new life, but to find the one with the golden eyes. I had heard stories of her and New York would be a good enough place to hide while I searched for her. When I accidentally found her, I ran not because of her, but because of Alarick. I knew he was someone important and assumed he would have me return to my old pack. Adella sensed my magic and had kept me close when she was alive however, it was me who tried to keep her safe knowing the unimaginable horrors the dark being could unleash if he were to escape his prison.

When she died, I tried to look for her daughter. I visited the barren lands and tried to enter, using my magic to pass through the thorns, yet to no avail. I was completely saddened I was not able to save the golden-eyed child and felt all hope was lost. Then one night, in my dreams, I saw the small boy with the silver eyes. He was part of pack on the other side of France, a pack I knew to be ruthless.

I flew to France and disguised myself trying to locate the boy. I found him, stealing a piece of bread from a local bakery. The owner chased him down and caught him and was about to bring him to the police if I had not intervened.

"Monsieur, merci. You have found my nephew."

"He is your nephew?" The man looked at me and him, clearly confused how a dirty little street dweller could be my nephew.

"Ah, oui, Monsieur. There is a reward if he is found." I handed him €1000. "Is that good enough, Monsieur?"

"Oui, Madame. Merci, merci!" He lets go of the young boy. "Don't ever steal again." He told the boy.

"Ah, Monsieur, he won't ever steal again. Come, let's go home." I pointed to the car. "I'll buy you all the food you want." I took him home, clothed him, gave him an education and now he is all grown up and ready to save the world.

When the world met Hope, he wanted to come out of hiding as well. I told him when the timing is right, you will be known. I plan to make him my successor because as High Elder, I know I will become busier as ever. The war is about to begin and I have to make sure we win this.

The alarm on my phone starts to ring signaling the commencement of the first phase of the alignment of the planets. Uranus and Neptune are now in alignment. Tomorrow, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will join them.

The white crystal starts to pulsate with a yellow light and a cloudy haze of gold and silver light swirl from it forming a spiral then it moves to form a face of a being.

"Greetings children of Aura. I am Halo, ruler of a distant planet called Aura. I call upon you to impart important information which will help you defeat the evil that has found a way to your planet."

"Centuries ago, we visited your planet on a quest to form alliances. In our quest, two members of our group mated with two of your inhabitants, solidifying the alliance as well as ensuring a bloodline of our people on your planet. These two unions were blessed by your Deity the Moon Goddess and ours, Iris. This pact has been an insurance of the Goddesses, to keep your world safe."

"The alignment of the planets of your star has began and in 3 earth days, when the planets are in perfect alignment, it will unlock the prison of Amon."

"The gems of our elders is the key to defeating Amon. A fatal blow to the vessel which holds him will cause his destruction. It is a sacrifice which we, the people of Aura, were not willing to make when he entered our world. We instead conjured a prison foolishly believing it would encase him forever. We had thought he would be lost in space, never to hurt anyone again."

The gems of the rings of the 3 Priestesses start to glow. Each gem projects a light which merge together above our heads and a slender spear forms which then moves in front of Jacques.

"Son of Aura, the spear is a weapon neceassary to defeat the darkness. Time, my son, will always work with you, never against you."

"Daughter of Aura, always remember for the greater good."

"May you be blessed." Halo's face vanished into the white crystal.

"High Priestess, did he mean you will have to sacrifice yourself? Jacques here will have to kill you?" Leia asked and shakes her head. "That isn't going to sit well with Alpha Alexander. He will kill you before you hurt Hope."
