Chapter 29 That Man Could Only Be Hers

After putting down the phone, Trista planned to rest, but Nelly called.
Seeing Trista had been out for a long time and hadn't returned, Nelly hurriedly called to ask her.
Trista had forgotten to tell Nelly about this before. So she quickly told Nelly that she was in the ward.
Nelly hurried over, and as soon as she entered the door, she scolded, "Why did you go to the hospital after going to the bathroom? You didn't tell me you're uncomfortable. Do you know I'm worried about you?"
"I thought it was nothing serious."
Trista explained subconsciously.
Nelly was helpless. "You're still a doctor. Don't you know what's going on with you?"
Trista knew it was because of her negligence, so she didn't try to defend herself.
Nelly didn't want to blame Trista anymore and asked with concern, "How do you feel now?"
"I'm much better now. Don't worry."
Trista comforted Nelly.
Then she paused and said, "I saw Polly today!"
"Who?"
Nelly thought she had heard it wrong.
"Polly Bryant, my mother."
Trista seemed to sneer. "Polly came to our company, and she warned me to keep away from Matthew and not to destroy her daughter's happiness."
"How shameless she was!"
Nelly slapped the table angrily. "After so many years, Polly still recognizes an adopted daughter as her only daughter. But you're her daughter too!"
Trista said calmly, "No, for Polly, only Myra was her daughter. She has never changed."
After hearing this, Nelly couldn't help but feel sorry for her best friend Trista.
Nelly couldn't help hugging Trista. "Trista, don't care about those people. You still have me and two babies, so don't be sad."
Trista couldn't help but smile when she heard the heartwarming words. Then she pulled Nelly away after hugging. "Actually, I'm fine."
"I don't think you're fine. And I think you're not in a good mood tonight. I thought you were tired, but now I know you are bullied by someone."
Nelly was annoyed.
Although Nelly didn't hear what Polly said in detail, she knew Polly's words must be bad for Trista without thinking.
Trista smiled. "Actually, I don't care what she said, but I still feel disgusted. It feels like... I was walking on the road and was suddenly bitten by a mad dog. So it's okay to be unhappy."
Nelly said without thinking, "Call her a mad dog is flattering her."
"Well..."
Trista laughed and patted Nelly. "Okay, don't be unhappy because of me."
Then she changed the subject, "I'm a little hungry, so can you buy me something to eat?"
Nelly nodded. "Okay, just wait. I'll buy it for you right away!"
"Okay."
Soon, Nelly left in a hurry and came back with soup after a short time.
Trista ate a bowl of soup, which warmed her stomach and made her feel better.
The infusion still took some time, so Nelly stayed with Trista.
The two chatted, and when the nurse came to remove the needle, it was already two hours later.
Trista glanced at the time, and it was almost eleven o'clock.
At this time, her children should be asleep!
Trista got off the bed and was ready to go back.
Seeing this, Nelly quickly persuaded her. "Don't leave tonight. Why don't you stay another night until you feel better? What if you don't feel well at midnight?"
Trista shook her head. "No, it's okay. I'm a doctor, and I know I'm fine now, so I don't need to be hospitalized."
"But..."
Nelly was worried.
Trista said, "It's really okay, and my two babies are still waiting for me at home. Although Moira is there, I'm afraid that Eudora will look for me when she wakes up at midnight!"
When mentioning Trista's two children, Nelly hesitated for a while but could only agree. "Okay, then I'll go through the discharge procedures for you."
Trista nodded.
Not long after Trista left the hospital, Colby also came and brought Ruby's clothes and food.
"This is made by the chef at home for Young Miss."
Matthew glanced at the things Colby brought and then looked at the two children.
The two children were cuddling each other on the hospital bed, sleeping deeply.
Matthew pondered for a moment, lifted the cover, and took a look.
It was a carefully cooked soup, which looked good and tasty.
Matthew put the lid back on, handed it to Colby, and said, "Take it to 1302."
Colby didn't understand and asked, "Who is it for? Mr. Fabian Myers? But he doesn't live there..."
Matthew glanced at Colby coldly and said without any warmth in his tone, "Trista! She's there!"
Colby was slightly taken aback.
He didn't expect to hear this name from Matthew.
It took a while before Colby realized that Trista might not feel well and came to the hospital.
However, why did Matthew care about this?
Although Colby was puzzled in his heart, he didn't dare to ask more questions and quickly agreed. "I'll go right away!"
After finishing speaking, Colby carried the soup, turned around, and left the ward.
Once outside, he went straight to 1302. Colby didn't notice someone go out of the fire exit that he just passed by.
It was Myra!
Her face was not as gentle as usual but gloomy, and her eyes were as cold as ice.
Myra came tonight because she heard Ruby was hospitalized, so she came here to express her concern.
She wanted to show her kindness in front of Matthew, so Matthew would treat her better in the future.
But Myra never expected that she would hear those words at the door.
Matthew still cared about Trista!
In the past few days, Myra had been ordering people to watch what Matthew did.
So Myra knew Matthew had met Trista and even went to Zelin Company for cooperation.
Matthew was the president of Myers Group with a distinguished status. So he didn't need to go to a company to discuss cooperation.
Thinking of this, Myra became angrier. Her five fingers clenched into fists, and her nails almost dug into her flesh.
She could no longer feel pain but only anger.
At the same time, Myra couldn't help but guess if Matthew would be together with Trista again because of those two bastards.
No!
Myra would never allow it!
That man could only be hers!
She must find a way to prevent this from happening!
Thinking of this, Myra glanced at the position of 1302 and quickly stepped away.
When Colby arrived at 1302, Trista was no longer there.
There was only a nurse making the bed.
Colby couldn't help asking in doubt, "Hello. Where's the patient here?"
The nurse stopped, looked back at Colby and said, "Who are you?"
Colby casually changed his identity. "I'm her friend... and I come here to bring her food."
The nurse glanced at the soup in his hand, nodded, and said truthfully, "She has just been discharged."
"Discharged?"
Colby was taken aback for a moment and then responded, "Okay, thank you."
He carried the soup, returned, and told Matthew.
"Mr. Myers, Miss Bryant has been discharged from the hospital."
Sitting beside the bed, Matthew frowned suddenly when he heard this.
Matthew remembered that when he ran into Trista, she was so weak that she couldn't stand still and looked like being fainting.
''How long has it been since she was discharged from the hospital?
What was Trista thinking?'
