Chapter 11
When I got there, I and the other members immediately got off the plane. Our efforts to infiltrate enemy territory up to this point had gone quite smoothly without any significant obstacles.
I'm also starting to get used to not always thinking skeptically about all the possibilities regarding the smooth running of this mission. If I kept thinking badly, it would be tantamount to underestimating my own abilities as well as the abilities of the colleagues who were on the same mission as me right now.
Plus I was also very excited to use the weapon I had chosen earlier for the first time. But I was reminded by Jimmy that I didn't have to use the weapon all the time, but only to perform my main attack, and to perform other attacks then I was encouraged to use other weapons instead.
So in addition to carrying the whip that I had chosen at that time, I was also equipped with other weapons that had been prepared by the members of the equipment division. There were many things I brought along including the goggles I described earlier. If I explained everything it would probably take a very long time.
"We should split up and not make a scene. Avoid enemy mobs carrying weapons with crowd control power. Because weapons with that classification of ability can weaken our movement and it also hampers the use of the weapons we use."
I listened to Miranda's explanation well, as did the other colleagues beside me. I'm sure they actually also understood the terms, but since there was me as a new member, Miranda's grave explained in more detail. Even though it was only a little bit.
At least it made more sense than Jhonny's thinking that everything didn't need to be discussed and just happened.
We then, in accordance with Miranda's directions, split up our respective places. Going in the other direction alone, Miranda suddenly pulled my hand and held me for a while.
"Hey kiddo, are you sure about your choice?" Miranda asked.
In fact, I didn't feel any doubt at all about my decision. I thought the direction I took was quite safe because I saw from my glasses that there were no other people detected in the direction I took.
"Yes, I'm sure. I see that in this direction there are no guards or members of this Mutiiner group. So I think it's safe to explore here," I said.
Miranda shook her head lightly. "It turns out you're still so naive about the way the enemy works. When you see what I'm doing, you should be able to draw conclusions from there. No one knows how the leader of a multinary group organizes how the base and its members work, so that means there is a possibility that there are similar systematics between one multinary group and another. So can you now guess what I'm thinking right now?"
In a fairly short time I was about to speak but Miranda cut me off.
"Oh well, you go first," Miranda said.
"Okay, I think you're trying to tell me that they might be able to use the same method as us. When we improve our group's technology, the other groups are likely to do the same and there's little chance that they won't. It could be that they have set up a trap that is undetectable by our radar. Right now that's what I can analyze from the events happening around us."
Miranda smiled and she seemed satisfied with my answer, the woman then patted me lightly on the shoulder.
"It's good that you're the type of person who understands quickly, I would be a little confused if I had to take care of someone who is naive and unresponsive at the same time," Miranda commented.
Hearing Miranda's comment like that later, I had to feel happy or feel offended by her words. But with that I came to think that in a world like this I shouldn't think naively and take too much thought from the point of view of people who don't want to take risks.
"Thank you, then can I ask for your opinion? How should I proceed after this? I actually want to try to carry out my mission according to my instincts, but since I don't have much experience I might make a mistake," I said humbly.
I was not only trying to make Miranda happy with my words that contained a bit of complimentary spice. But I was also speaking based on reality, and I really didn't want to make a mistake because I wasn't like Jhonny who had strange thoughts.
"Wow, if Jhonny directly hears this statement from you, he will definitely be upset and think of you as a slow old grandmother," Miranda said with an amused chuckle.
It turned out that Jhonny's nature like that had been memorized by his colleagues in this Mutiiner group. Even Miranda said almost the exact same thing Jhonny said when he felt annoyed with me.
"I appreciate your thoughts, and this is just a secret between the two of us. You can move in with me because I think I need an assistant right now. But I hope you don't just expect preparations from me but you can also use your own reasoning when needed," Miranda advised me.
I was quite happy because Miranda is not the type of person who likes to blame others or feel great about herself. She was even willing to help me with the condition I had now, she was indeed a kind-hearted woman.
"Alright for now we better get moving to explore this place. Because the other team members are already walking and heading towards the main place we want to enter. While on the way to that place I will give you directions one by one."
I annoyingly understood and the two of us immediately stepped quickly using the shoes that had been fitted with technology to speed up our footsteps.
It's like a fantasy movie where humans seem to be controlled by robots because they can do such impressive things with the technology they are given. And that's exactly how I feel now. I can even go as fast as a motorcycle with these shoes made by Miranda.
I originally thought that these cliffs were just like cliffs that were hollowed out inside and then used as a room for the headquarters of the Mutiiner Moon Shark group members, but it turns out that I was very wrong and mistaken. In fact, it didn't look like a cave at all, but rather a base full of platinum metal and titanium metal. Everything here is so shiny and looks like polished metal every second, I even felt glare when I first entered there, but with the help of these glasses I was able to neutralize the light entering my eyes.
"Stop, don't move rashly, Miss. You must always remember that there are many features to the device on your body right now. You have to be smart to use them and change the active features on the device in a short time. Because when you are on a mission like this, there must be many things that you detect before you move from one place to another."
Miranda held me back and we stopped at a spot in the middle of the long, wide hallway. There seemed to be something that Miranda detected that made her hold me back and we temporarily hid there.
"Shhhh, shut up and stay calm," Miranda said to me, putting her finger to her lips.
