Chapter 54
Jhonny, Rian, Fredy and Denada moved quickly after taking control of the control room of the alien base. They walked with confident steps down the long and disgusting hallway, heading back to the room where Alice was locked up. Although there was still a feeling of tension hanging in the air, there was confidence in their hearts that this mission would soon end well. Jhonny could feel the relief flowing through his body; the image of Alice, safe and in his arms, was the biggest motivation to keep going.
Rian, who had always looked tough, couldn't even help but smile. "I didn't expect us to make it this far without much trouble," he said, looking at Fredy and Denada. "After everything we've seen, I think this is a big win."
Fredy, while continuing to monitor the hallway in front of him, nodded in agreement. "That's right. Although we're not out of here yet, but it's halfway there. Alice will be free soon, and after that we can think about how to destroy this cursed place."
Jhonny remained focused on his goal. "We can't linger here. As soon as Alice is safe, we need to get all the women we freed to safety."
As they moved deeper, along the way, they came across more women who had fallen victim to the aliens' cruelty. Women whose bodies were still bound by disgusting living flesh, clinging to the slimy walls that filled the hallway.
Denada stared in horror at one of the trapped women. "We can't leave them here. They need help too," she said firmly.
Jhonny nodded without hesitation. "We'll free them now."
Carefully, Denada approached one of the women who looked so tired and haggard. The woman's face looked blank, like she had lost her zest for life. Her body was trapped inside an organic shell that continued to restrain her movement. Denada quickly retrieved a cutting tool from her bag, and set to work carefully opening the slimy flesh.
While Denada cut the shackles, Fredy and Rian also helped the other woman nearby. The process of freeing them was difficult because the shackles seemed to be alive, writhing as they tried to rip them off. Each exposed piece of flesh made a disgusting sound, as if the organs were unwilling to let go of their victim.
"Can you walk?" asked Rian gently after helping to free one of the women who was still semi-conscious.
The woman nodded slowly, although she looked weak. She tried to stand up but almost fell down before Fredy swiftly helped her up.
Denada, who had finished freeing the other woman, took out a tool from her pocket. "Listen, I'll give you the coordinates of a safe place. You must hide there and not come out until we come to pick you up. Use this device as a guide. It will signal if there is danger near you." Denada handed a small circular device to one of the stronger-looking women among them.
The woman, though still looking confused, nodded in understanding. "Thank you..." her voice sounded hoarse, almost like a whisper.
Denada smiled a little, though her heart was still filled with horror and disgust at the suffering the women had endured. "You'll be fine. Now go quickly, and be careful."
After ensuring that the women were ready to move to a safe location, Jhonny, Denada, Rian, and Fredy refocused on their main mission-rescuing Alice. Their journey continued through the silent, slimy hallways, with their pace quickening. Every second felt more urgent.
Fredy, who had always tried to maintain a calm demeanor, began to feel his heart beating faster. "I don't like this calm," he muttered.
Denada agreed. "Yes, it seems the aliens know we're approaching. But we're ready."
Their pace quickened as they approached the room where Alice was locked up. The large door with the strange symbol emblazoned in front of it still stood firmly, but this time, thanks to their efforts in the control room, it could already be opened. A feeling of relief began to flow through them. After all that had happened, there was only one step left to save Alice.
"Come on, open the door," said Jhonny with confidence.
Eagerly, Fredy approached the panel next to the door and started typing in some codes taken from the control room. Within seconds, there was the sound of the door mechanism opening. Slowly, the door moved, emitting a bright light from inside the room.
However, when the door fully opened, what they saw made their bodies stiffen instantly. Jhonny stopped in place, his breath catching. Inside the room, stood a large figure that was familiar to them-the leader of the aliens.
The alien's body was huge, much bigger than any other alien they had ever encountered. Its slippery skin seemed to reflect the light of the room, with long tentacles moving gently on its back, as if it were alive. Its fiery red eyes stared at Jhonny and his companions with a cold gaze, as if it had been waiting for them for a long time.
"Welcome..." The alien's heavy and terrifying voice echoed throughout the room. "I've been waiting for you."
Jhonny felt a deep anger burning within him, but he refrained from acting rashly. He realized that this alien was not an enemy they could take lightly. Behind the alien, Alice was still trapped, her face pale but her eyes awake, as if she was trying to find a way to escape.
"Let Alice go now!" shouted Jhonny in a voice full of anger.
The alien just chuckled, the sound of his laughter sounding so horrible. "You think you can just come in here and take what's mine for granted?"
Denada took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "We can't just attack. We have to think with a cool head."
Jhonny nodded slowly, though anger still burned within him. "We're too close to retreat now."
Rian, who was behind Jhonny, gripped his shield tightly, ready to strike at any moment. "We only need one chance. When he lets his guard down, we take Alice and get out of here."
However, before they could respond further, the alien stepped forward, staring at them with a cold smile on its terrifying face. "You think you can fight a force far greater than yourselves? You're sorely mistaken if you think you can make it out of here alive."
"Damn you disgusting creatures! I won't let you hurt my colleagues and my wife!" said Jhonny angrily.
