Chapter 56

Fredy and Denada ran cautiously towards the control panel in the corner of the room. The room was filled with various devices that looked like advanced technology, but were also covered in a thick layer of alien slime, making everything look even more terrifying. Denada was the first to reach the panel, and she quickly began fiddling with the buttons. Fredy stood next to her, watching and ready to act in case of an unexpected attack from the alien leader who was still dealing with Jhonny and Rian.

"Hurry up, Den! We don't have much time," Fredy whispered anxiously, his eyes fixed on the battle behind them. Jhonny and Rian seemed to be having a hard time dealing with the overwhelming strength of the alien leader, especially with the energy shield that was almost impenetrable by plasma attacks.

Denada nodded quickly, her dexterous fingers running over the buttons on the panel. "I'm trying my best! In a moment..."

After a moment, Denada pressed a large button in the center of the panel. They both held their breath, hoping that the alien leader's shield would soon vanish. However, instead of seeing the shield shatter, nothing happened.

"Why is the shield still there?" asked Fredy in a confused tone, his eyes returning to the alien who was still standing firmly with his shield.

Denada checked the panel again, trying to figure out what was wrong. "This doesn't make any sense... I believe this is the control button for the shield."

They both felt disappointed, but still tried to find a way out. Denada fiddled with the panel again, trying other buttons, but nothing changed. The alien shield remained active.

Fredy punched the wall in frustration. "It's a fake button! Or it's broken... We're tricked!"

Denada gritted her teeth, "Shit, we have to find another way!"

However, before they could continue, Jhonny's voice broke the deadlock. "Forget the shield! Let go of Alice first!" Jhonny shouted while trying to block the alien leader's attack with his weapon.

Hearing that order, Fredy and Denada instantly switched focus. The two looked at each other, then nodded quickly. They left the useless control panel and rushed towards Alice, who was still bound in the corner of the room. Alice's face was full of anxiety, her eyes pleading for help.

The alien leader, realizing what they were doing, became even more furious. With full force, he began throwing large objects around him - fragments of alien technology, debris from the walls, even some heavy weapons - at Fredy and Denada. The attack was indiscriminate, uncontrollable, but deadly.

Denada, with incredible agility, jumped and spun in the air, dodging every object thrown at her. Her supple and elastic body moved as if dancing among the flying debris. She leapt over a large chunk that almost hit her, landing gracefully near Alice.

Fredy, although not as fast as Denada, had a strong survival instinct. With quick movements, he dodged the attack, crouched down and rolled on the floor, then got up again swiftly. "We have to hurry, before the aliens launch a more vicious attack!" he said as he ran to Alice's side.

Jhonny and Rian continued to try to distract the alien leader. Jhonny fired his weapon with more measured precision, trying to find gaps in the alien's defenses, while Rian used his shield to withstand the attacks of the alien tentacles that continued to target them.

"Give them time, Jhonny! We have to hold out a little longer!" shouted Rian as he parried attack after attack. His shield shook violently every time the alien tentacles hit him, but Rian didn't give up.

"You think I don't know that?" Jhonny replied in an angry tone. "I won't stop until Alice is safe!"

Meanwhile, Denada and Fredy finally arrived near Alice. Alice's face was full of hope despite looking tired. The bonds holding her hands were so tight, the thick slime shackles covered most of her body.

Denada took out a cutting tool from a small pouch on her belt and started cutting the slime. "Don't worry, Alice, we'll get you out soon," Denada said in a soft but firm voice.

Fredy stood guard next to her, making sure that there was no surprise attack that could disrupt them. His eyes remained alert to the movements of the alien leader as well as the surroundings. He knew that they didn't have much time.

The alien leader, seeing that Denada and Fredy were getting closer to freeing Alice, became even more frantic. He let out a loud roar that echoed throughout the room, the sound making their hearts skip a beat. At full power, the alien threw more objects at them, even beginning to destroy some of the walls of the room in its rage.

"Hurry up, Denada! He's going crazy!" Fredy warned, while dodging debris falling from the ceiling.

"Damn, I know!" replied Denada, sweat starting to pour down her forehead as she tried to speed up the slime cutting.

Finally, just as Denada managed to cut the last shackle binding Alice's hands, a loud noise was heard from the direction of the door. The four of them turned their heads, and how surprised they were to see several other aliens entering the room quickly. The aliens looked ready to ruin their plans, with dangling tentacles and deadly biological weapons.

"Shit! We've got company!" shouted Fredy, preparing to face the new enemy.

Jhonny growled angrily. "No! We're too close! We're not going to lose now!"

Rian who was still standing beside him just nodded, his face full of determination. "We have to hold out a little longer. They'll be done with Alice."

The new aliens began to move towards them, with terrifying speed. Their bodies moved swiftly, despite their repulsive forms. Fredy immediately took a defensive stance, raised his advanced trident and prepared to fight.

"Come on, let's face them!" Fredy said to Denada. "I'll watch your back."

Denada nodded wordlessly, her eyes focused on the approaching aliens. They knew that this battle was not over yet, and there were more dangers ahead.

'There are more and more of them, damn it. But if I give up then the lives of all my comrades are in danger, including Alice's,' Jhonny thought to himself.
