Chapter 16

We stepped out of Moon Shark headquarters with a sense of relief still in our hearts. However, when a mysterious figure standing in the distance caught our attention, all that calmness instantly vanished. He wore black metal armor that glistened under the dim light, with various sophisticated gadgets attached to his body. In an instant, an uneasy feeling crept into every part of my body.

It was strange, this person's aura was so unpleasant. I wasn't at ease at all when he entered The Jackal's headquarters area. What exactly is wrong with that person? Who is he? What does he want by coming here? All this time I've been meeting with the rambunctious members of Mutiiner's group.

"Who is he?" I whispered to Jhonny who was standing beside me, watching the figure with a sharp gaze.

"He's the leader of the Moon Sharks," Jhonny replied, his voice calm but his eyes showing tension. "We need to be careful."

When the figure stepped forward, he activated the holographic device on his wrist, displaying data and information about us. "Welcome to my base," he said, his voice deep and eerie. "You have managed to penetrate the defenses, but here, the game has only just begun."

Jhonny stepped forward slightly, brandishing a high-tech weapon in his hand. "We are not afraid of you," he said in a firm voice. "We're here to end Moon Shark's reign."

The figure just laughed softly. "You think you can stop me with that weapon? I have more than just ordinary technology." With one motion, he called out to the remaining group of Moon Shark members, who were ready with their weapons.

"Get ready everyone!" shouted Jhonny, and we all braced for the attack. "We can't back down when challenged like this! Step forward everyone!"

The fight began. Jhonny pulled out a flaming weapon, with blue energy glowing at the end of the barrel. He stepped forward with grace, each step showing poise and confidence. As the Moon Shark members approached, he fired a precision shot, hitting one member who fell to the ground.

Watching Jhonny fight made me even more excited. I took out my automatic whip, which was attached to my waist. As I pulled the handle, the weapon automatically slid out, powerful tendrils appearing, ready to be used. Facing several approaching members, I swung my whip, stinging them with incredible speed.

I wasn't going to move slowly, I knew that in this situation I was needed by Jhonny and the others as well. Seeing their high fighting spirit made me no less excited than all of them.

Moon Shark's lead figure began to move, activating an energy shield around him. He summoned a fighter drone that flew above us, launching energy bullets. "You won't be able to defeat me!" he shouted, his voice echoing throughout the room.

Jhonny didn't hesitate. "Counterattack!" he shouted, leading the members of The Jackal into action. With incredible skill, he leapt to the side, dodging bullets, then focused his fire on the flying drones. Every shot was on target, destroying the drones and shutting down their systems.

I kept moving, using my whip to knock down Moon Shark members who tried to get close. The tendrils moved quickly, entangling and taking down our enemies one by one. With coordinated movements, we both poured energy into our attacks, creating a harmony that made us even stronger.

However, the Moon Shark leader seemed to be getting frustrated. Activating the device on his arm, he summoned a wave of dark energy that made the air around us feel heavy. "You think you can fight me with that stupid technology?" he shouted. "Witness true power!"

In an instant, a massive energy wave hurtled towards us. Jhonny immediately swung his plasma weapon, trying to deflect the attack. "Look out!" he shouted, shielding me with his body.

I who didn't realize it was so shocked when there were signs of the explosion problem going on there at that moment. Luckily Jhonny had the attitude to protect me with his body but I wasn't sure about that because if he protected me then he would be the one affected by the explosion.

A huge explosion occurred when the energy hit the surface. I was thrown back, but Jhonny stood firm. He didn't let the wave crush his spirit. With unwavering vigor, he continued the attack, aiming his plasma weapon at the figure.

"It's not over yet!" shouted Jhonny, unleashing all his energy and fighting skills. He launched a barrage of attacks, each movement purposeful and precise. I saw how he was trying to focus all his energy on destroying the figure's energy shield.

Amidst the chaos, I didn't want to be left behind. With renewed courage, I used my whip to attack from the side. I aimed my tendrils at the remaining Moon Shark members, and with one move, I managed to knock them down.

I continued to attack every Moon Shark member in sight and I didn't want to miss a single opportunity to do so. Because the faster I moved, the more I helped The Jackal win.

The Moon Shark leader was starting to lose control. With every attack from Jhonny and I, he seemed to be getting more and more desperate. "You don't know who I am!" he shouted, his voice filled with anger.

"Look at our strength!" Jhonny retorted, returning fire with precision strikes. In one motion, he redirected his fire towards the figure. With burning courage, he launched a deadly strike, shattering the energy shield.

"It's done!" he exclaimed, as the shot struck the figure decisively. "We've done it! It's a good result for all of us this time!"

The figure staggered, and for the first time, he looked vulnerable. All the other Moon Shark members, who had been brave, now began to retreat, frightened by what they were witnessing.

"No!" he shouted, trying to summon energy, but Jhonny was already faster. "This is the end for Moon Shark!" With one powerful motion, he unleashed a plasma shot that aimed directly at the figure's body.

Blinding light filled the area we were in as the energies collided. In an instant, everything in the room seemed to shake. When the light dimmed, the figure fell to the ground, looking helpless. The figure seemed to have completely collapsed and weakened after being hit by such a powerful attack, even those of us who saw it got goosebumps when we witnessed such a powerful moment.

"Now, we have time to plan our next move," Jhonny said, fixing the remaining members with a stern look. "We must not let them return to the base."

With all members of The Jackal united, we made sure that none of the Moon Shark members could escape. Jhonny went around, checking one by one, making sure everyone was safe. "We need to leave soon before more of their members arrive," he advised.

In the chaos, I felt proud to be part of this group. We had fought, united, and were now victorious. However, as we began to celebrate, something haunted my mind. Even though we had defeated the Moon Shark leader, it felt like there was something bigger lurking out there.

"Jhonny, we need to plan our next move," I said, realizing that even though we'd won today, bigger challenges might still lie ahead.

"Agreed," he replied, surveying the now-destroyed Moon Shark base. "We must prepare. This isn't over yet."

We were all united, preparing ourselves for the journey ahead. Although victory is on our side this time, I know that we are not completely safe yet. There are still too many steps that we have yet to walk and too many people and parties that have confronted us. We know that as a soldier who is in opposition to many parties, there will certainly be many people who want to do battle with you.

And in that silence, as we turned to leave, I felt a new threat lurking in the darkness. A challenge that would test everything we had fought for.
