Chapter 53
The alien base became increasingly stuffy and eerie as Jhonny and his colleagues walked down hallway after hallway. The dim light reflecting off the slimy walls only added to the creepiness of the place. Every step felt like a journey into an endless nightmare. Jhonny's mind was constantly fixated on Alice who was still confined inside the locked room. The pale face of his wife, who was probably struggling to defend herself, always crossed his mind.
Along the hallway, they saw sights more disgusting than they had ever imagined. Other pregnant women, whose bellies had once been enlarged, were now lying helplessly. Their bellies had deflated, indicating that they had just given birth to alien babies. Between their thighs, disgusting mucus oozed, dripping onto the floor, while their bodies drooped, exhausted, and some were even unconscious.
Denada covered her mouth tightly, holding back the vomit bubbling up in her throat. She couldn't bear to look at this scene, something so far removed from humanity. "This is... too horrible," she whispered, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
Fredy swallowed, trying to remain calm, but his face showed how shaken he was at the sight of these unimaginable things. "They're... like they're being eaten from the inside," he muttered in disbelief.
Jhonny felt his anger growing. Every second that passed made him feel that these aliens had to be stopped, and he had to save Alice before it was too late. "We're not going to let them keep doing this," he said determinedly. "Once we save Alice, we'll make sure these women can leave here."
Rian nodded steadily, although he looked tense. "We need to focus on our goal first. We need to find that control room and open the door where Alice is locked up."
They continued to move quickly but cautiously, going through every hallway that felt like a maze. The slimy walls that reflected a strange light only added to the sense of horror. However, one thing was becoming clear to them-they could not retreat now. Alice was up ahead, waiting for their help.
After a few minutes, they came to a hallway that seemed larger than the previous ones. At the end of the hallway, they saw a large door with a strange symbol engraved on it-signaling what they assumed was the control center of this base.
"This is it," Fredy whispered, pointing at the large door. "This must be the control room."
Jhonny nodded. "All right. Get ready, everyone. We don't know what we'll find in there."
Slowly, they approached the door, ready with their weapons. They pressed themselves against the wall, waiting to deliver a surprise attack. Jhonny signaled to the others with his hand, counting down. Three, two, one.
With a swift movement, Jhonny kicked the door open, and they burst into the room. The sight that greeted them made them even more certain that this was the control center of the alien base. Inside, there were several large aliens operating various tools and systems. The aliens looked surprised at the arrival of Jhonny and his team, but did not have time to react quickly.
Jhonny immediately launched his attack, the plasma pistol in his hand lit up brightly, firing multiple shots at the nearest alien. The sound of gunfire boomed throughout the room, making several aliens fall to the floor with charred bodies. Rian moved nimbly with her super-powerful shield, blocking any retaliatory attacks from the aliens that tried to attack them. The shield shimmered, reflecting the energy of the aliens' attacks and protecting his comrades.
Fredy, with his technologically advanced trident, leapt forward, thrusting his weapon into the chest of one of the aliens that tried to approach him. The trident emits a fiery blue light that instantly makes the alien's body tremble before collapsing lifelessly.
Meanwhile, Denada launched her advanced fan with poison spikes, spinning rapidly through the air like a deadly disk. The fan smashed right into the head of the fleeing alien, causing it to fall down with its body slowly blackening from the deadly poison inside the fan's spines.
Their attack was fast and coordinated. In no time, the aliens inside the control room were no longer moving, their bodies lying on the floor. Jhonny and his colleagues' breath caught, but a sense of relief began to creep over them. For a moment, they had succeeded.
Denada wiped the sweat from her forehead and took a deep breath. "It's done."
Fredy looked around the room, making sure there were no other threats. "We did it," he said, his voice filled with relief. "They're all dead."
Jhonny took a deep breath, though his chest still felt full of anger. "Yeah, but we're not done yet. We still need to find the button to open the door where Alice is locked up."
Rian immediately stepped forward, his eyes scanning the large control console in the center of the room. "Come on, let's check this console. There must be a way to open the door from here."
They all moved quickly, checking every button and screen on the control console. Jhonny tried to stay focused, though his mind kept worrying about Alice. Every second that passed was precious, and he knew they had to move quickly before more aliens arrived to reinforce the troops.
Fredy crouched down next to one of the large screens, his eyes glued to the series of symbols displayed there. "This is it," he said in a serious tone. "This must be their security system. I just need to figure out how to disable the door lock."
Rian stood behind Fredy, monitoring the movement of his hands on the screen. "Can you do it?"
Fredy nodded. "Give me a few minutes. I just need to adjust the scanner's algorithm to match the human DNA. After that, we can open the door from here."
While Fredy was busy with the screen, Jhonny paced restlessly, his gaze constantly returning to the control room door. He knew they were close, very close to saving Alice. But the clock was ticking, and every second felt like a heavier weight on his shoulders.
"Hurry up, Fredy," Jhonny muttered urgently. "We don't know how long we have before they come again."
Fredy nodded quickly, his hands moving faster and faster over the screen. "I know, I know. I'm almost done."
Finally, after several minutes that felt like hours, Fredy stood up and looked at the others. "It's done. I managed to disable the door locking system."
They all breathed a sigh of relief.
"We did it," Denada said with a faint smile on her face. "Now we can save Alice."
Jhonny nodded. "Let's hurry back there before they realize it."
With slightly lighter hearts, they prepared to head back to the room where Alice was locked up, ready to open that door and get her out of this disgusting place.
