Chapter 38 (Epilog)
After years of fear and chaos, our world has finally recovered from the clutches of the aliens. The darkness that had enveloped our lives slowly dissipated, replaced by a new ray of hope. Amidst the remaining ruins, we began to rebuild our civilization-a stronger, more united, and braver civilization.
Today, the atmosphere at our new base is filled with laughter and happiness. Citizens gathered, celebrating the successes we have achieved. Since Michael and his members were sentenced for their treason, we have been able to feel a genuine sense of freedom. No more threats from outside, no more fear that aliens would return to rule over us.
I stood beside Jhonny, looking out at the cheering crowd. He wore a gleaming hero's cape, the symbol of our victory. Jhonny, with his warm smile, looked more confident than ever. I felt proud to be by his side, not just as a partner, but also as a true colleague.
"Look how happy they are," Jhonny said, his voice soft but full of passion. "This is all for them."
I nodded, holding back tears of emotion. "We've been through so much, and now they can live without fear. It's amazing."
As leaders of a new country formed after the defeat of the aliens, a huge responsibility rests on our shoulders. However, we were up for the challenge. Moments like this make all our struggles worthwhile. We had become a symbol of hope and courage for everyone.
In the middle of the celebration, we heard the host's voice. "Let's welcome our heroes, Jhonny and Alice!" Shouts and applause echoed throughout the base. I felt my heart pounding, but the nerves soon disappeared when Jhonny grasped my hand tightly.
We walked to the front, to huge cheers. Seeing the faces full of gratitude and love, I felt as if all the pain we'd been through had paid off. On stage, Jhonny stood next to me, smiling broadly at the crowd.
"Thank you," Jhonny began, his voice firm and full of conviction. "Today is a sign that we never give up. We are a strong community, and together we can overcome any obstacle."
As he continued his speech, I felt a rush of positive energy envelop us. People nodded in agreement, as if agreeing with every word that came out of his mouth. Jhonny was talking about the future, about how we would build a better world for the next generation.
After the speeches, the atmosphere became even more festive. We gathered together, joked around, and shared stories about the journey we had been on. I felt the warmth of love between us, a love that has stood the test of time and hardship.
As the sun set, the color of the sky graded from orange to purple. Jhonny and I sat on a bench, gazing out at the beautiful horizon. He turned to face me, his eyes sparkling. "Alice," he said softly, "I want you to know how much you mean to me."
I smiled, feeling my heart racing. "You mean everything to me too, Jhonny. We've struggled together, and I can't imagine going through all this without you."
He took my hand, and in an instant, all fear and doubt disappeared. We both knew that we had found each other in this chaotic world. Our togetherness was the greatest strength we had.
With the atmosphere growing more intimate, Jhonny suddenly stood up and took something out of his robe pocket. It was a ring, gleaming in the dim light. "Alice," he said, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Won't you marry me?"
I was stunned, unable to believe what I had just heard. Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks. "Yes, of course! I want to!" My voice was full of emotion, and right then and there, Jhonny put the ring on my ring finger.
The crowd that had previously celebrated our success now witnessed a very personal moment. They cheered loudly, congratulating us. Feelings of emotion and love flowed through me, making me feel as if I were flying. We both embraced, feeling the warmth of the love that bound us.
A new life began. With Jhonny by my side, we committed to building a better future. We would be leaders who cared not only about power, but also about the well-being of all people.
I didn't expect a meeting that started with so much suspicion and hurt between me and Jhonny to end up this happy and trusting.
I originally thought it was not the two of us who would end the destruction of this world, but it turned out that we were the ones who could save this world and we started a new civilization with the people who managed to survive fighting in the post-apocalypse era due to the aliens. I am very proud of myself, Jhonny and all the other warriors who helped the revival of human civilization to lead to happiness and peace together.
That night, we celebrated with a big celebration at the new headquarters. All members of The Jackal, now part of a larger community, gathered to celebrate the rise of our civilization. Amidst the songs and laughter, I realized that we had created something more than a victory-we had created a family.
As the stars shone in the night sky, I knew that our future would be bright. Together with Jhonny, we will take on every challenge and celebrate every success. We would face this new world with hope and love.
With confidence, I looked at Jhonny. "We will do this together, right?"
He smiled and replied, "Forever, Alice. Forever."
As soon as I heard that answer from the man I loved my heart really felt warm, after a life full of pain and struggle I was finally able to find my true love that I could truly trust, even though before I almost didn't want to have a partner because of Michael's evil deeds to me, but God sent Jhonny who made me realize that in this world there is still love that I can trust and i can lean on.
In our togetherness, we are ready to build a new world. With courage and love, we will be the pillars for generations to come. And it was here, amidst the crowds and laughter, that I felt how meaningful life is. It is a life full of hope, love and happiness.
The End.
