Chapter 47
Their spaceship landed softly on the surface of Gronion. Jhonny and his four team members rushed out, immediately greeted by a completely different view of the planet from earth. Gronion's sky was a purplish blue, not the bright blue of earth. The atmosphere seemed heavier, and the temperature felt cooler-perhaps even a little chilly, making them feel a deep sense of solitude on this alien planet.
The surface of Gronion was full of colorful rocks, some purple, red, and green with textures they had never seen before. In the distance, strange plants stood like trees, but they had no branches pointing upwards. Instead, the branches twisted like spirals around their trunks. The leaves were golden yellow, with contrasting streaks of red.
Jhonny scanned the surroundings, then looked at Fredy, Denada, Rian, and Alice. "This is very strange, this planet looks beautiful but we must remain vigilant," he warned.
Fredy nodded, then looked up at the purplish-blue sky in amazement. "I've never seen anything like this before," he muttered.
Alice, however, was unfazed by the beauty of the planet. She remained focused on the mission they had to perform. "We're not here for sightseeing, remember. Focus on finding Frigia Sanguinis."
Miranda had equipped them with a special detection device that could respond to extreme temperature changes. Frigia Sanguinis has properties that can stabilize temperature, both for cold and heat, so the device will react when it comes into contact with the substance.
"We have to move fast," said Jhonny as he checked the detection device. "Miranda gave us the exact coordinates, but we still need to explore further. Who knows what's hidden here."
After a brief discussion, they decided to split up to make the search more efficient. Fredy, Denada, and Rian each took a different path, carrying detection devices in their hands, hoping to find Frigia Sanguinis soon. Jhonny was about to split up as well, but before that, he approached Alice.
"Alice, are you sure we need to split up in this unfamiliar place? This planet is so foreign," he asked, a little worried.
Alice looked at Jhonny with confidence. "I'll be fine, Jhonny. I know what I'm doing, and we don't have much time. Don't worry, I'll be careful."
Jhonny still looked doubtful. "I just want to make sure you're safe."
Alice smiled, trying to calm Johnny down. "Trust me, I can take care of myself."
Finally, after some convincing, Jhonny agreed. "Alright, then. But if there's anything strange, let me know immediately."
Alice nodded, and they split up.
As Alice walked alone, she walked through an area full of large rocks and strange plants. Her steps were slow but steady. She looked at the detection device in her hand every now and then, hoping for a signal indicating that she was approaching Frigia Sanguinis. The air in Gronion was heavy, almost reminding Alice of the humid atmosphere after a heavy rain on earth, but with a very different atmosphere.
After walking for some time, Alice finally noticed something strange. In front of her eyes, there was a large rock of bright purple color, which was slightly softer than the other rocks. The sparkling glitter powder that adorned its surface made it look like a rare gem. Alice stopped, watching the stone carefully.
Unhurriedly, she observed every detail of the stone. This stone had a strange texture-softer than the other stones around it, almost like a hard sponge that could be pressed with a finger. Alice bent her knees, came closer, and slowly touched the surface of the stone. It felt cold in her hands, and she could feel something different inside.
Alice thought to herself. 'Is this really what we're looking for?
Slowly, she reached for the detection device Miranda had given her and touched it to the stone. As soon as it touched the surface of the stone, a strong reaction immediately occurred. A red light flashed from the device, indicating that it contained a temperature-neutralizing substance-Frigia Sanguinis.
Alice stared at the device in amazement. So, this was it, the substance they were looking for to save the earth. Frigia Sanguinis was really here. However, she still didn't want to be rash. Alice decided to wait for a while, making sure that there were no other threats or dangers before she notified the others.
After a while of checking the surroundings and confirming that there was nothing unusual, she grabbed her communicator and contacted Jhonny.
"Jhonny, I found it," Alice said quietly, still in disbelief of her findings.
On the other hand, Jhonny who was in another location immediately stopped and responded quickly. "What? Are you serious?"
"Yes, I found a rock that reacted strongly to the detection device. It looks like this is Frigia Sanguinis," Alice replied.
Jhonny was silent for a moment, digesting the news, then his voice of excitement was clear. "Awesome, Alice! Stay there, we'll be right with you."
Alice waited by the stone, trying to remain calm despite her racing heart. Not long after, Jhonny arrived with Fredy, Denada and Rian. They all looked surprised and mesmerized at the stone Alice had found.
Fredy, who was usually full of curiosity, approached the stone cautiously. "So this is what we're looking for?" he asked as he examined the purple rock. "It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen before."
Denada joined in the examination from a different angle. "Strange... but beautiful. No one would have thought that such a powerful substance could come from an alien planet like this."
The always quiet Rian just nodded, but it was clear she was also impressed by the discovery.
Jhonny smiled, proud of his team. "Good job, Alice," he said in a relieved tone. "This is a big step towards saving humanity."
However, they all knew that the mission was not yet complete. Retrieving Frigia Sanguinis from the rock had to be done very carefully. They didn't know how it would react if taken the wrong way, and the team's safety remained a top priority.
"We have to be careful," Alice says. "These rocks may contain more substances than we anticipated. Let's not be in a hurry."
Fredy prepared the equipment to extract the substance safely. "Come on, let's do this slowly and make sure we don't make any mistakes."
Once the equipment was prepared and they were confident in their plan, the team set to work to retrieve the Frigia Sanguinis. The rock proved soft enough to cut, but also strong enough to require specialized equipment.
As they worked, Alice looked up at the purplish-blue sky above. Although the planet looked peaceful, there was a strange feeling that came over her heart. Something about Gronion still felt mysterious, as if there were secrets yet to be revealed.
'Why do I have such a bad feeling?' Alice thought uncomfortably.
