CHAPTER 28

Chandler immediately called his right-hand man and gave him some simple instructions before leaving his office with a sly smile on his face.
“I'm on my way to get you!”
On the other side of town, the two had exhausted all the rides available at the amusement park. Because it was already lunchtime, the two decided to leave the park and go to the food court for some fast food.
“What would you like to eat?” Vanity asked, her gaze drawn to the numerous food outlets in the court.
“Burgers,” Heidi replied, which made her happy.
The two went out and bought some beef burgers and orange juice. They then sent the guards to get some pizza for them because Vanity was convinced that a single burger would not suffice.
They ate slowly and exited the park when they were full. Vanity even sent a box to Chandler, who frequently forgets to eat when he is busy, because she didn't want her man to go hungry. He might as well eat what they were eating if she couldn't send him home-cooked food.
After filling their hungry stomachs, the two bought milkshakes, which they drank while strolling around the shopping mall. Vanity had decided to go shopping first, followed by a trip to the movies to round out the day.
Vanity came to this boutique because she saw a great shirt that would look great on her husband, and she desperately wanted to buy it. Heidi simply dragged Vanity inside and the two went straight to the aisle with the shirts when he noticed Vanity's desire to go inside.
Vanity was excited and couldn't wait to get her hands on that shirt, but she got goose bumps all over before she could even touch it. She had a bad premonition, and something similar had happened just a few weeks before.
Someone grabbed the shirt she was about to grab, and she instantly flared and looked up to see who had the audacity to steal just one thing she wanted. She wasn't asking for much, just one thing, and yet she was subjected to this.
She was not, however, prepared to face the unknown foe she had just met. The two ladies exchanged shocked looks; the virus had spread to the other people in the building.
Anyone in the boutique could see how similar these two looked, which was shocking.
Vanity didn't need to be told about the other woman standing right in front of her because she recognized her. She was the person for whom she had been molded with. This person was like a god, and it was because of her that she was created to be a part of this world.
Vanity was now stronger and fiercer than she had been three years before, and she was not afraid of the woman in front of her. Gwen had never done anything to her, so she had no qualms with her; she also hoped that Gwen would not try to turn her into an enemy, as she was already on the verge of collapsing due to her and her family.
Heidi was taken aback when he saw the two people, as were the guards, who immediately texted a picture to Chandler, who was in the middle of a meeting. Chandler knew it wasn't going to end well when he saw the two ladies.
For the first time, the directors were taken aback when their boss abruptly left the middle of an important meeting.
Gwen had never expected to meet someone who resembled her so much. She was so taken aback that she demanded an explanation. There was no way she had a twin; the only possibility was that clone who had been presumed dead for three years. However, looking at this woman, she couldn't help but wonder what she had run into while out shopping for her husband's clothes.
Gwen looked at the other woman, who didn't seem bothered or shaken by what was going on. The other woman acted as if this was a routine occurrence, which irritates Gwen.
She didn't want to be compared to others, even though she was a celebrity. She looked around at the people who were staring at them as if they were waiting for something to happen, and she knew she had to keep her cool.
“If you want this shirt, I will give it to you,” Gwen decided to be the bigger person as she sincerely smiled at the other woman.
Vanity, seeing Gwen's little tricks, smiled gratefully at her. She was aware that Gwen expected her to decline, but who was she?
“I am extremely grateful; I love this shirt. Don't you think it's perfect for my husband?” Vanity posed the question to her son Heidi, who nodded and said, "It will suit him perfectly."
Heidi knew that even if Vanity bought something hideous, his father would still like it. He had noticed that the two ladies had some unseen animosity toward each other, so he decided to back his mother.
Gwen was surprised to see the shameless pair; she had expected her to concede, but this shameless clone accepted. She was filled with rage, but there was nothing she could do.
She decided to go tell Nolan about it and get him to take care of the problem as soon as possible. Some loose ends deserved to be snipped as soon as possible to avoid future problems.
Vanity smiled at Gwen, who didn't appear to be in good spirits, and took the shirt she had desired from her.
When she passed Gwen, Vanity said a few words that only Gwen could hear: "You will never be able to kill me again because you failed twice. I will rip their throats out, even if it is you.”
When Gwen heard Vanity say those words, she became cold. Vanity had undoubtedly recognized her, and she herself had confirmed that she was the clone that her family had allegedly destroyed three years before. She was also the clone she had longed to meet and kill with her own hands.
Seeing her right in front of her shook her, but what bothered her the most was the fact that even after hearing those provocative words, she couldn't do anything about it. This clone rendered her weak and speechless.
She had a feeling there was more to this clone than what she was showing, and she knew that if she just attacked her by herself, she wouldn't be able to win. She needed to get her family involved in this and get them to finish her off now that she had reappeared.
