CHAPTER 30

He had his suspicions that something had gone wrong that day, but he lacked sufficient evidence. He still wasn’t sure whether Vanity was the clone that was supposed to be dead three years ago.
What he feared the most happened when he saw an angry Gwen who brought a message from Vanity. When he heard Gwen's message, he knew she had survived and wasn't as simple as she used to be years ago.
After the confrontation of the two ladies, things began to go awry for his company, and he had a hunch that the Wagner’s were involved, but does that mean he knew the entire inside story?
Nolan was so stressed that he wasn't going home lately and was spending his time at work with his mistress. He had told Gwen to lay low while he investigated more but he never thought that she will be so impatient to make a nasty move when things were already this bad.
The netizens were on frenzy as several pictures of videos were going viral.
[Oh, my goodness! Did she really have plastic surgery to look exactly like our goddess?]

As the pictures of Gwen and Vanity went viral, many bizarre comments were posted online. Gwen wanted to defame Vanity first, so she wouldn't have any face when she went out.
She wanted to torment her so badly that she begs for forgiveness and leave Chandler alone.
Gwen was happily smiling as she watched people trash Vanity on the internet. She also sends Chandler an anonymous email informing him that Vanity was not a human being, but rather a human experiment. She also threatened Chandler that if he did not leave her, she would make everything public.
To be honest, she didn't want to expose anything because it would affect her as well, but she couldn't help herself because the thought of those two being together irritates her.
Because she couldn't have her own happiness, that clone didn't deserve it either. Gwen was a clever person, but she had been so driven by her jealousy and other crazy emotions that she didn't think clearly, and as a result she had poked the hornets' nest.
She had no idea that by going insane like this, she would simply fan the flames that would consume her family and Nolan's lives. Instead of assisting, she had enraged the insane monster Chandler to the point where he immediately ordered his men to attack two of their large warehouses, effectively ending the Sheppard's as they rely on those warehouses the most.
They had investigated, but there was no one to question about the situation, so they began to attack corporations they deemed to be enemies.
This crazy war caused the business world to applaud in awe, but it also served as a warning and lesson to others not to provoke those who should not be provoked, as a large family like the Sheppard's was being played with as if it were a start-up business.
While those who didn't understand these kinds of wars but were interested in entertainment news poured their hearts and souls into the issue of Vanity and Gwen, where Vanity didn't even show up to fix the problem.
This enraged those netizens to the point where Vanity's name was completely blackened.
To make matters worse, someone was even more thoughtful and leaked her information. They were unable to discover where she currently resides, giving Vanity some breathing room.
Chandler wanted to delete everything on the internet, but Vanity was so gracious that she told him not to do anything but leave it alone.
When he asked her why she would do such a thing, her response astounded him, "I just want to know what it's like to be famous."
What else could he do now that his wife had spoken? She didn't even appear angry as she read the comments and posts. She even fueled the fire by posting a slew of photos of herself.
He only realized what she was doing after punishing her and eating her clean. She wanted the problem to grow so large that the impact of her face-slapping the back would be shocking.
When he asked her what she wanted to do, her response made him smile with evil glee.
“Since she wants to take everything that belongs to me, I'm going to repay the favor. I'm going to take away those crazy fans from her. I'm going to make them despise her to the point where she won't be able to leave the house. I'm going to grant her wish as if she were no longer alive. I warned her, but she didn't listen. Because she believes she is invincible, I will teach her a lesson on behalf of the elders.”
Seeing the sly look on her face as she spoke justifiably as if what she was saying was justice made him want to laugh, but there was one thing he liked about her, and that was that she and he were the same.
Even though she disliked violence, if she is revoked, she will retaliate. And because this was her battle, he was going to let her do whatever she wanted. When the time comes, he will only bury the dead.
The war did not end there, but continued, and the Sheppard's corporation suffered greatly as their warehouses were razed to the ground, causing them to lose some of their business.
The company was undoubtedly coming to an end, and when Nolan realized that it was becoming too much for him, he decided that it was time for the Drysdale to enter the picture.
So, in a private resort, a group of men sat with a glum expression on their faces, discussing the steps that should be taken to solve this problem once and for all.
“The scientists' side is secure, so there will be no problems if anything happens,” Douglas Drysdale said, recalling that the majority of those involved in the matter were already dead and buried, so they posed no threat.
