CHAPTER 41
Vanity made sure to buy gifts for each family member, including herself and her husband, in every country they visited. Chandler had handed over the cards to her, which she was strongly opposed to, but after being persuaded on the bed for many nights, she agreed that there was no harm in her being the holder because everything belonged to them.
Her husband was given one card, while she was given the rest. She couldn't understand why one person needed so many cards; wasn't it enough to just have one?
Time truly flew by, the honeymoon period came to an end, and Vanity wasn't too sad because she couldn't wait to go play with her son. She had missed the young one so much that she couldn't wait to get away.
Chandler, who had seen through his wife, couldn't help but harbor resentment towards his son, and he vowed to teach the little bra a lesson when they returned.
Vanity noticed that her husband appeared angry and sulky, so she had to coax the older man into appeasing him, and as a result, she was eaten clean and completely forgot about Heidi, which made the black-bellied husband so happy that he was in a joyful mood when they returned.
Heidi instantly transformed from a cold-looking young master to a sunflower the moment he noticed Vanity, who was busy looking for him.
“Mom, I'm here!” Heidi waved his hand, which drew the attention of not only Vanity, but also the other people in the room.
They couldn't believe what they had just witnessed and heard. Heidi was eager to call his stepmother, who was eleven years his senior, mom, and he sounded very natural doing so. What was even more shocking was that he appeared to be very happy to see the young woman who had married his father when his own mother was still alive and well.
“Ohhh, come here!” Vanity exclaimed as she ran towards Heidi with a bright smile, like a child.
The scene was so beautiful that some of the guards took pictures of it. After two weeks of following their boss, they all knew that taking pictures was something that would earn them a lot of money.
Vanity snatched the young man into her arms because he wasn't too heavy for her or her other persona. Chandler wanted to reprimand his wife after seeing this scene, but he couldn't because of their happy faces.
“Did you think about me?” Vanity asked as she walked with the young man to the car, completely ignoring the man with whom she had been tossing for the past two weeks.
Chandler laughed as he watched this scene; if Heidi hadn't been his son, he would have buried the young brat so that no one would ever see his face again. Even though the sun was shining brightly, the guards noticed a drop in temperature. When they saw the father's murderous gaze on his son, they all understood. They all stiffened their laughter as they found it amusing that Chandler was still envious of his son after all this time.
What if the mistress bears children? Would their boss put up with something like that? They'd seen what he did to the guys who had looked lustfully at their mistress during these two weeks, and the outcome wasn't good.
Some might think that if the mistress saw this side of the master, she would despise and leave him, but those close to them knew that their master was more merciful than his wife.
They had never witnessed such gruesome scenes in their lives, thanks to their mistress, who practically goes insane while on a killing spree. They'd rather kill themselves than allow their mistress to do so. They felt better seeing her as innocent and lovely as she was rather than provoking her darker side.
They all just hoped that no woman would be a fool to confront or put on airs in front of their mistress, as their mistress was someone who holds a grudge for a lifetime, which was the case for everyone except the master and the young master.
They all value the fact that their mistress was genuine when it came to their masters, as opposed to those misses who are more concerned with profits and benefits than with people's emotions.
The three-person family sat in the back of the limousine, and Chandler smiled as he watched his family talk nonstop. He felt terrible when he looked at Vanity; she was like a child who needed his attention.
Maybe it's because she didn't have playmates when she was younger and wasn't allowed to mingle with others that she turns to Heidi for entertainment.
He didn't have to worry about his son getting the stepmother treatment with her because she treated him as if he were her own child. The two conversed on the way to the villa, with Chandler interjecting here and there.
Vanity was overcome with emotion as she looked around at the place, she had called home for months. When they were gone, the villa underwent significant transformations. A green house full of flowers was blooming in the back yard, making her eyes twinkle with delight.
The entire property was also painted in warm colors to indicate that a family lived there. She even liked the master bedroom because it had a touch of yellow, her favorite color.
She kissed her husband on the lips, causing Heidi to frown at their display of PDA. To appease the young ancestor, Vanity kissed him on the cheek, causing him to blush with embarrassment, and the young man simply ran.
Chandler, who couldn't believe his wife would casually kiss another man, didn't have time to be angry because he laughed at his son, who was so embarrassed that he ran away. His distant son had met his match.
A happy wife creates a happy atmosphere; this statement was ideal for the Wagner’s, who had a great time together even after the honeymoon period was over. The gifts were distributed, and Vanity became an internet celebrity, completely erasing Gwen from people's minds.
