CHAPTER 29

Heidi held Vanity's hand as she led him to the cash register to pay for the shirt. He had overheard what Vanity had said to the other woman, and he had a bad feeling that her kidnapping the previous time was the result of this woman he had seen on the screen numerous times.
It was certainly true that you should never judge a book by its cover. Gwen was no saint, and she was even worse than his new mother.
Gwen dug her nails into her palms while maintaining her smile, making Vanity the bully. What bothered her even more was the fact that Vanity didn't even look back after paying for the shirt, but instead left gracefully.
Gwen quickly left the boutique because people were staring at her strangely. As she walked out of the mall, she noticed something that made her want to strangle someone.
That clone was busy embracing a man who was well-known in the business world. She was also acquainted with this man, who was highly sought after by ladies. Chandler Wagner was every woman's dream, and there he was in public being affectionate with that phony human clone.
She wanted to rip her hair out just thinking about it, but then a thought came to her, and she smiled. If she can't fight her head on, she might as well use some tricks to end the relationship.
She didn't deserve to be with a man of Chandler's caliber as a clone. She was going to destroy that cone so badly that she would beg her to end her life as soon as possible.
Gwen felt a lot better now that she was thinking about all the crazy things she was going to do to this clone.
Vanity smiled at Chandler, who was visibly upset when he arrived. She had to kiss the man several times in public to calm him down.
Chandler hugged the happy woman before turning to look at her. coldly at Gwen, which made the young superstar shiver because he didn't know what she had done to him for him to look at her like that.
“I'll take you both to the company,” he said as he walked with them, but Vanity quickly dismissed the idea.
“We're not finished yet. Let's get together for dinner later. You choose the location, and we will accompany you,” Vanity bargained with her husband.
Chandler turned to face his amusing wife. How could he have missed the fact that she just wanted to have some more fun?
“You….”
“I'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me,” she said, placing her hand on his chest and whispering in his ear, “you can do whatever you want with me later.”
Chandler went weak in the knees when he heard this. Heidi couldn't believe how shameless the couple was after seeing the look on his father's face. He was in no mood to go to the company now that Vanity had won. It was boring there.
Chandler left after assuring the two that they would be fine because he had caved into his wife's demands.
“Now that your father has left, let's go shopping at another mall. What do you think?”
Since they had been interrupted, he didn't see why they couldn't continue their shopping, so he agreed, making Vanity so happy that she kissed him on the cheek, making him feel very embarrassed. He was ten years old and being kissed and hugged in public made him very shy and blush like a girl.
The date resumed with them going to a different shopping mall to shop and spend Chandler's money. After a long day of shopping, the two went to see an action film that left them breathless. They were so engrossed in it that they were sad when it ended.
Following the film, the two drove to the restaurant where they planned to have a family dinner with Chandler. Everyone was in good spirits at dinner, and the three were content.
They returned to the villa in Chandler's car, while another guard drove Vanity's sports car.
Heidi washed up and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, because it had been a long day.
Chandler grinned as he tied his naughty wife to the bedpost once more in the master bedroom. Vanity learned yet again not to provoke her husband and to listen more.
She pleaded for mercy until her voice was hoarse, but Chandler was unconvinced. He made certain that he exhausted her to the point where she would be unable to leave the bed the next day. It was not a good idea to let his wife go wherever she pleased.
He'd seen the look in Gwen's eyes and knew she was up to no good, and with Vanity at home, she'd be safer.
Chandler hugged his wife, who was unconscious on the bed after the intense workout and closed his eyes to sleep. He was truly blessed to have her in his life, and anyone who stood in his way had only one option, "TOTAL ANNIHILATION."
***
The situation had been too crazy for the Sheppard family, who had found themselves in a bind. The company's mainframe suddenly became infected with a virus, and the company's secrets began to leak.
As a result, the company was in a precarious position, with stock prices constantly falling, and management still had no idea what kind of adversary they were up against.
The family had been in the business for years, but this time their adversary was well prepared; there was not a single trace that led back to them, and there was no room for bargaining.
Anyone could tell that these enemies were out to destroy everything the Sheppard’s had worked so hard to build over the years.
Among those who were panicking was Nolan, who was aware that he had created a single enemy. Since the day he suspiciously lost his men after sending them to get rid of that woman by Chandler's side, he'd had a feeling that things weren't as they seemed.
