CHAPTER 43
When Vanity left Nolan and Gwen that night, she had no idea Nolan would be so insane as to hide away with Gwen so that they wouldn't find her. Clara, who was so madly in love with Nolan that she couldn't tell what was left or right, was the mastermind behind the escape.
When Nolan lost everything, he had worked for simply because of a woman who didn't bring him much benefit, he became so enraged that he not only broke her legs but sold her to an underground brothel to have her serve men while he receives money as his compensation.
Nolan, who was used to having money and having people worship him, was stranded. The person he most wanted to rely on simply vanished, taking everything, he desired with him.
Yes, Clara betrayed him and stole all his hidden assets. He had trusted her with everything, and she had betrayed him. When Vanity heard this, she praised Clara for being such a kind soul. If it had been her, she would not only have taken the assets, but she would have killed the other person for abusing her.
In the months since Isabelle attempted to exact revenge on Vanity but was caught with the crime of drug hoarding with the intent to sell, her daughter Gwen had had enough and committed suicide by biting her tongue.
That attempt was not the first, but it was one of the most successful.
Nolan, on the other hand, was pursued by his enemies and died in excruciating pain. In other words, everyone who knew anything about Vanity had died and gone. Even if Isabelle ranted, no one would believe her because her identity was solid proof, and she had the Wagner to back her up.
Vanity was unconcerned about the white-faced Isabelle, who had been taken aback by the news. She said her goodbyes to the other woman because her husband was waiting for her.
Isabelle didn't even notice Vanity leave because the words "suicide" kept repeating in her head. “Hahahaha this is karma, hahaha,” Isabelle burst out laughing as tears streamed down her cheeks.
Everyone else had left, leaving her alone. This is not what she expected. She yearned for them terribly.
A few weeks after Vanity's visit, Isabelle's cold body was discovered in her solitary cell, where she had been staying for two days after hitting the doctor, who told her she was dying of a sexually transmitted disease and there was no hope.
She had never cheated on her husband before, which meant that he was the source of her problems. The thought that he had done this to her was so upsetting that she vented on the wrong person.
Isabelle was placed in solitary confinement, where she reflected on her life and remembered what Vanity had told her. Since it was confirmed that she was dying, she might as well commit suicide rather than wait for some disease to kill her.
She made a long cloth out of the bed sheet and used it to hang herself in the cell. The woman was dead and gone by the time the guards arrived to serve her breakfast. Her only request was that her body be cremated, and her ashes be scattered because she wanted to be free. She didn't want to be buried next to the man who had killed her family.
And if there is another life, she vowed not to meet that man again, and if they did, she would make him pay for everything he did in this life.
When Vanity learned of Isabelle's death, she simply dismissed it as another piece of passing news because it didn't concern her at all. Instead of moaning about trivial matters, she went on a date with her husband and fed many people dog food.
Who hasn't heard of this famous housewife? A wife who was not only young and beautiful, but so spoiled and pampered that all the ladies envied her and some even despised her that they couldn't help but hire a water army to splash dirty mud on her name, even though there were others who genuinely loved her.
THREE YEARS AGO
Was she dead? That was the question the young girl asked herself as she floats on the surface of the water. She remembered being shot and then falling off the cliff, her body slamming into the water so hard that her head split into many pieces.
She could sense that death was approaching her before she blacked out, but she only opened her eyes to notice that reality might not be what she expected.
The young girl swam out of the river, relieved to see that she was still alive, and examined her tattered clothes, which appeared to be in poor condition. It was the first time she saw herself as a beggar.
When she thoroughly examined her body, she discovered that all her gunshot wounds had vanished, as if she had never been shot in the first place. The only evidence that she had been shot were the bullet holes in her clothes, which demonstrated that she was not dreaming and that she was very much alive.
The last few days had been a nightmare for her; after discovering she was a clone, she nearly died in the hands of the man she had trusted and given her heart to. How can the world be so astute?
Because it was late at night, she didn't realize anything was wrong with her current self. She just wanted to go somewhere and get some clothes to wear, but who knew she'd meet a pervert who wanted to take advantage of her.
Just thinking about it, she had no idea what she did, but she ended up with a bloody mouth after feeding on the other guy. This truly astounded and terrified her. She didn't want to believe she'd turned into the monster she'd seen and read about in books, "a vampire."
She refused to believe it, but as someone who had killed another, she needed to flee or else she would be the one on the receiving end of the blade if those people found her.
Before fleeing, she searched the other man for his belongings and took his money. As she fled, she noticed she was moving at an unusually fast rate for a human.
When she found a 24-hour shop, she bought clothes with the money she stole from the dead guy and then vanished into the woods because she didn't have any identification documents with her. She had seen a few detective movies and knew that being in the spotlight would only bring her dangers.
