MANY YEARS LATER
As this can be considered a large gathering in Country R, many distinguished guests were all busy chatting merrily with one another in a well-decorated banquet hall.
Several elites and supernatural were present, though not everyone was able to discern the truth because many supernatural can mask themselves and hide deeply among humans.
Among the supernatural was a lovely lady dressed in an emerald mermaid gown and five-inch black heels, flanked by a beaming man who seemed delighted to be paired with the lovely lady.
The two's ages were so different, but their outlook didn't show it. They both appeared so young and fresh that those who had known them for years were enraged.
This was a charity ball held to raise funds for the one-month-old earthquake disaster. So many lives were lost all over the world because of this disaster, and as wealthy people, they should give back to society and do some good deeds to compensate for the bad ones.
As they walked, the woman became dizzy and clutched the man by her side tightly.
“Are you alright? Should I take you to the hospital?” a slew of questions was hurled at the woman, making her smile and warm.
She knew he was genuinely concerned about her. As someone who is rarely ill, this was also her first time, but she didn't want to overthink it.
“I'll be fine; I'm just tired. After some rest, I'll be back to normal,” the woman replied, reassuring the man, but he didn't believe her.

For the time being, he will go along with her and have the doctor thoroughly examine her.

She had midnight purple hair that was waist length, making her look like a character from a manga comic. She had a lovely purple lotus mark between her eyes on her forehead, which gave her the appearance of an enchantress. She was the epitome of immortality. No human being will resemble this individual.
What Vanity and Chandler didn't understand was why such a person would come to where they were standing.
“You look very beautiful,” Vanity couldn't help but compliment the other lady, causing the other lady to smile genuinely, causing Vanity to see bubbles.
Chandler, who was standing by his wife's side, couldn't believe what he was seeing, but he wasn't concerned that his wife would be taken away from him because he had thoroughly imprinted himself so deeply that his dear would not even think of it.
“Thank you very much. When I first saw you, I knew you were one-of-a-kind and extraordinary. This is my first encounter with a supernatural being like you. I didn't want to get involved, but I can't help but tell you.........”
The beautiful lady left after delivering her news, leaving the two people so stunned that they excused themselves from the banquet and went straight to the hospital.
A nervous Vanity was lying on the hospital bed doing a sonogram, and bystander Chandler was even worse. As she saw and confirmed the couple's suspicions, the doctor smiled happily.
This was the moment the two had been anticipating and hoping for, even though they knew it was impossible. Heidi, Vanity's baby son, had grown up and was no longer a child.
Vanity no longer has her son to play with because he is too preoccupied with university and the company.
They even considered adopting but decided against it because having your own child was preferable to adopting.
So, their encounter with the lovely lady shocked them so much that they hoped it was true. They didn't even ask for her name because they were so preoccupied with this case.
The doctor was nervous as she observed the couple's expectant expression. It had to have been difficult for them all these years, so it was a blessing that their prayers had been answered.
