CHAPTER 37
She was the luckiest person in the world, and she was eternally grateful to the Drysdale family for everything they had done and put her through, as she would not be here walking towards him if it hadn't been for them. And because of her gratitude, she showed mercy by not killing Gwen and by leaving the bodies of the two men intact, even though she had only drained them.
They were going to die anyway, so there was no reason for them to keep that blood inside them. So, it wasn't much of a sacrifice for her to take their blood to repay everything she had done for them over the previous six years, was it?
She smiled at the man who had completely changed her life and given her the courage to love and be herself, to never see herself as a monster but as someone different. Chandler was such a wonderful man, to the point where he broadcasted their wedding live for the entire world to see, that she decided to reward him later, when it was just the two of them.
She missed him so much after being apart for days because she had grown accustomed to being eaten clean every single day by her monstrous husband. Knowing she was the only one who could give him such pleasure made her so happy that she didn't mind indulging the man who had been celibate for nearly ten years.
She disliked Heidi's mother because she had given birth to the young man and had slept with Chandler. She didn't want to know about any other women he had slept with before waking up. She was simply relieved that she was the only one he could get his hands on and no one else.
She could sense all kinds of emotions emitted by the guests, the majority of which were envy, hatred, anger, and fury, with only a few exceptions being happiness. That didn't bother her because she was beaming at her man.
Grandpa finally handed her hand over to Chandler, who gripped it tightly. She could tell how worried he was, so she silently held his hand, assuring him that everything was fine and that she was staying put.
“We have all gathered here to witness.........”
The wedding ceremony officially started when the priest began officiating the ceremony. As the priest continued to speak like a chattering box, the two lovers held hands and listened with the guests.
The Priest had officiated at his parents' wedding, which was one of the reasons he was in such a good mood.
“It is time for you two to recite your wedding vows,” the priest said, giving the couple the floor.
Chandler was going to be the first to leave, so he turned to face his lovely bride. Even though her face was hidden behind a muslin veil, her beauty shone through, and she looked stunning. He only wished he hadn't gotten to remove the veil because he now felt it was not a good idea to let everyone see her. Chandler was a stingy and jealous man, and sharing his woman was not something he wanted to do, but since he had started it, he was going to finish it.
“I never imagined a day would come when I Chandler would have this kind of day. To me, the thought of being with that woman who makes me feel the way you do was a fleeting dream that I had never dared to imagine.
But then you entered my life, and everything changed. I'm not sure when it started, but my life started to revolve around you. I knew my life had taken a better turn for the better the moment I realized I had fallen for you.
I have a lot to say to you, which is why I'm going to spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me. I love you, my dear, and I thank you for coming into my life,” Chandler confessed in front of everyone causing Kelly, his mother, to cry happy tears.
This was the first time she had heard her son say such sweet words. He was a man of few words, but here he was confessing his feelings for this young woman. It is their family's great fortune that Vanity has entered their son's life.
She sometimes wonders what would have happened if Vanity had not accepted the position of Chandler's maid. Did that mean her son would have to be lonely and in pain for the rest of his life? She shuddered with fear at the thought.
She had to cherish this daughter in law even though she would be unable to provide them with children in the future. They already had Heidi, and that was sufficient. She also has two more sons who aren't married yet and can help compensate.
“I always thought I was doomed to live a lonely life, so I didn't care about anything and focused solely on making a living. As a result, I concentrated on working and saving. But I'm grateful for that mindset because, while I was focused on my goals, I met you and my life was changed.
Because of you, I've learned a lot of things, including how to love and cherish everything around me. I had given up on love, but you came into my life and charmed me like a prince charming. I am aware that I am lacking in many areas, but I feel deeply loved because you chose me until the end.
I'll spend the rest of eternity proving to you how much you mean to me. I love you, husband, and will always do so. Thank you for being a part of my life,” Vanity said in another shocking confession that moved the guests and netizens watching.
[I've seen a lot of actresses, but this Cinderella here deserves every award.]
[Please don't be envious upstairs. Anyone can tell those words were genuine and truthful. That's love right there.]
[I can't believe I'm crying.]
[I can't believe I'm crying.]
[I wish you joy.]
As the wedding ceremony progressed and the two protagonists were busy giving everyone dog food, the priest's face became flushed beet red. He couldn't believe these two could be so brazen in front of so many people.
Following the exchange of wedding vows, the floor was given to the Priest, who made them take their oaths before exchanging rings. Many people puked blood after seeing the flamboyant ring being slipped onto Vanity's finger at this point.
Was Chandler attempting to enrage everyone solely because of a woman? The ring that Vanity was wearing was one that the upper crust was aware of. Over a month ago, an auction in country Z took place, and that ring was auctioned off for $150 million dollars.
The ring had a long royal history and was over two centuries old. The band of the ring was encrusted with gems. It was mind-boggling to think that a jeweler could create a ring with seven gems embedded in it.
