His Sunshine – Part ll

Onyx took the basket and they walked out of the hotel suite. Down the elevator and hotel lobby, they slipped inside Onyx's car and soon they were driving downtown.
Onyx parked the car on the street after fifteen minutes of driving. They walk into the large park filled with lush greenery. The park was still a little deserted, and there weren't many people around. They chose a spot in the park near the pond, and Onyx unrolled the picnic blanket and spread it out on the grassy ground and set the basket down.

Ophelia removed her flats and sat down on the blanket. Her gaze wanders around the park, catching sight of others who had the same idea as them to have a picnic and children running around playing and laughing.
"I may have to fly to Luxembourg tomorrow," Onyx informed her as he poured two glasses of red wine for them and passed her one. Ophelia gladly accepted a glass and inquired, "Business?" Onyx sipped his wine and shrugged at her question.
"It's a family affair."
Ophelia hummed, sipped wine from her glass, and gazed forward towards the lake. She felt Onyx's eyes on the side of her skull and glanced at him. "What?" She asked and he shook his head, smiled, and looked ahead. After a few moments of silence, Onyx casually wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest until she was pressed against his side. Ophelia didn't seem to mind and rested her head on his arm since she was too short to reach his shoulder.
"Would you like to accompany me?" He asked precipitously, and Ophelia raised her head to look at him. "Where?"
"To Luxembourg. To my home." Looking down at her, he murmured. She blinked a few times, closing and opening her mouth.
"I'd like for you to meet the rest of my family."
"Isn't this a little early?" "They already know about you as my future bride, and you've already met Dad and Kieran," Onyx shrugged.
"I know, but it's still early. We're still not sure if we'd be compatible as partners. It could just be some sort of enticement-" Ophelia tried to explain waving her hand around, with a nervous expression on her face. Onyx chuckled making her pause at her word. "You're way too cute." He cooed, and Ophelia pouted, making Onyx chuckle.
"If you don't want to, that's fine; I understand. I asked because I didn't want to be away from you." He said with a loving smile and kissed her on the forehead. Onyx pulled back and Ophelia nodded understanding.
"Would you like some crackers and cheese?" As he drew the snacks from the basket, he offered, and Ophelia nodded.

They chat while munching on snacks and drinking wine, and their gaze wanders around the lush park, which is slowly filling up with people. They get lost in their thoughts for a few moments, and Ophelia glanced up at Onyx with anticipation when he looks like he wants to say something. But he never did, leaving her somewhat disappointed. Silence enshrouded them for a while as her eyes twinkled with the water on the lake, which had turned into a canvas of thousands of colours as the sun was at the horizon.
"Do you want a sandwich?" When Onyx asked, she turned to face him.
"What kind of question is that?" She exclaimed as she gladly accepted the sandwich. Onyx chuckled biting into his sandwich.
"You sure did pack a lot for a picnic." Onyx raised his brows as Ophelia gulped down the food.
"Even so, everything was consumed." Onyx shook his head as Ophelia smiled sheepishly at his words.
They knew it was time to leave when the sky darkened and the wind grew colder. They pack up the basket and Onyx folded up the blanket and they walked to his car. Onyx soon had the car parked in front of the hotel and was strolling inside with his arm around her waist. Onyx and Ophelia were on their way to their suite while the valet parked the car in the garage.

Ophelia crawled into bed after changing into something more comfortable for the night and snuggled into Onyx, who was watching a movie. They watch the movie for a while until she felt her eyes grow heavy and start to drop.
When she was on the verge of falling asleep, she felt Onyx wrap his arm around her shoulder. He turned off the television and drew her in closer until her back was pressed against his chest and she could feel the warmth of his body.
She felt his lips touch her forehead as she succumbed to the world of dreams.
"Good night, meng Fuuss." (My Vixen)

She awakens to the light of a new day as her dreams linger, dancing in the way that dreams do. Ophelia couldn't move as the strong arm draped around her waist clung to her. It was still early in the morning, and she wanted to make something for them before Onyx left for Luxembourg. She tried to wiggle free from his grip, but he groaned in annoyance and tightened his grip even more. She finally managed to break free from his grip and make her way to the small kitchen.
Ophelia yelped as Onyx's massive hands slid across her waist and drew her back to his chest. "What are you doing, léift?" He asked, nipping her earlobe, and she gave him a sidelong glance. (Love)
"Nothing much. Simply something to fill your stomach." She muttered as she concentrated on the omelette in the pan. Onyx hummed and nuzzled his nose along the bridge of Ophelia's neck.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" When he asked, Ophelia shook her head.
"Why don't you get dressed and freshen up?" She inquired, and Onyx nodded.
"All right," he said as he pulled back and kissed the nape of her neck. Ophelia glanced at him as he walked back into the room and turned to the oven when it biped. She smiled as she carefully removed the Corn and Chili Strata from the oven. It turned out perfectly! She cheered.

She set the small table on the living area and looked up when Onyx walked out dressed handsomely in a grey suit. When he looked at everything on the table, his eyes widened.
"Wow!" He exclaimed, and Ophelia smiled and motioned for him to sit down. She served him a plate of strata with an egg mushroom omelette. He dug in, and his eyes widened with delight at the taste.
"You're fantastic." He grumbled as he stuffed his face with food, and Ophelia smiled.

They finished their food, and by the end, every utensil was empty because Onyx had eaten every last scrap.
"Would you be okay?" Onyx inquired, looking at Ophelia, who nodded positively.
"I'm sure I'll be fine."
"I really don't know for how long I'll be caught up there. But I promise I'll come to see you even if you've gone back to California." He promised as he gently grasped her face.
"I'm sure you will. Just go and return as soon as possible so we can finish our little game." Onyx groaned as she winked with a grin.
"I had no idea saying goodbye would be so difficult." He sighed pulling her to his chest in a hug. "I never thought I'd say this to you, but I think I'm going to miss you." She murmured against his chest and his chest vibrated as a chuckle ripped through.
"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it." He said as he captured her lips in a longing kiss. Her fingers slipped into his locks and he groaned pulling back.
"If you do that, I won't be able to get to the airport!" Ophelia laughed as he exclaimed.
"Travel safe, Onyx." She looked up at him and whispered, and he nodded after a few moments of staring into her eyes.
"I'll see you soon, meng léift." With that, they parted their way as Onyx walked out of the hotel suite. (My love)

Ophelia sighed as she closed the door and walked back inside the bedroom while pulling her hair up in a bun. She put on a high waisted straight leg khaki pants and a white shirt. With her hair down and light makeup, she walked out of the bedroom when someone knocked on the door.
Ophelia frowned as she approached the door and yanked it open. Her eyes widened and her jaw clenched as she saw the person she had never expected to see again at her door.
"Leona!"
