The Beast – Part lll
"I told you I could see your punch coming from a mile away. This time it was even slower." Ophelia smirked and Abilene winched and groaned lying on the ground. Abilene's contracted dogs lunged at her, but Ophelia was quick to swing her legs and it landed on the one with fewer tattoos. Ophelia stood up and dropped the rusted, sharp-edged piece of metal from her bloodied hand. She had been distracting Abilene the entire time she had been cutting off her ropes with the sharp piece of metal she had found on the ground. The tattooed man swung his fist at her, but she was quick to catch his arm with one hand and her other hand grabbed him around his chest and threw him to the ground with a swift flick.
When the first guy pushed her, Ophelia lost her balance and fell on her back on the ground. The man had his fingers around Ophelia's neck as he tried to strangle her. Ophelia's hands grabbed his arms, and her legs hoisted him up by his stomach and tossed him over her head. Ophelia knew she couldn't take on both men with her legs tied, and she didn't have much time. She hurriedly attempted to untie the rope around her legs, but she could feel the men approaching. She braced herself for some powerful punches and kicks, but she frowned when a body fell with a loud thump. When she looked behind her, her eyes widened as she noticed Onyx standing behind her. His shirt sleeves were folded all the way up to his elbow, his fists were balled, and he was furious. Ophelia stood up after untying her legs. Onyx looked at her and asked, his voice heavy.
"Are you all right?"
"Yes, I am." He nodded in response to what she said. "Also, thank you. I mean I could have taken care of them myself but, thanks."
“I am sure you could have. But can you take care of that bitch while I deal with them? I don’t prefer hitting women.” Onyx asked never taking his eyes off of the man on the ground and the ones that were pooling in through the door. Ophelia looked at the man and raised her brow.
“You sure you’ll be alright? I mean they look tough.”
“I’m sure I’ll be fine.” He nodded in affirmation. “Okay then, have fun. And don’t die.” She said as she ran out after Abilene who was trying to escape.
Ophelia huffed as she ran out of the old garage and stared at the slowly running Abilene.
‘It’s a hustle running in this freaking dress!’ She ground and looked around. Ophelia picked up a piece of long metal and after a while, she threw it aiming at Abilene. Ophelia watched as the piece of metal flew towards Abilene and Hit just below her knees knocking her over on the ground.
“Yes!” Ophelia exclaimed as she threw her fist up in the air and turned around.
She froze at her spot when she saw a gun pointed at her, her eyes moved from the gun towards the wielder of the gun and her eyes widened in shock.
“Owen! What are you doing!” She calmly asked and Owen’s dead eyes glimmered with hatred.
“Why did you leave me, Ophelia! Was I not enough! Have I loved you less! Have I ever forced or disrespected you! Then why did you have to go around and whore yourself with all those men!” He asked with so much hate and grief.
“I haven’t been whoring myself around Owen. It was you who had cheated!” Ophelia calmly said and his eyes glowed with hate.
“You were kissing that guy on the beach a while ago! And you say you haven’t been whoring around!” Owen shouted and Ophelia frowned.
“How do you know-
“I’m watching you, Ophelia. I always watch you!”
“You have been stalking me!” Ophelia hissed and Owen laughed.
“I have seen you with so many guys that you sicken me. This is not you, Ophelia! You were not a whore! But don’t worry, I know you aren’t yourself since the day I broke your heart. I’m sorry. I know you are doing this trying to heal your heart.” He monotonously stated and Ophelia kept herself from laughing. “You are delusional.”
“But don’t worry my love. I’ll free you from your misery.” Owen pulled the safety hammer down and Ophelia raised her in surrender. “How the hell will you heal a broken heart with a gun! I need love, not a bullet!” Ophelia exclaimed and Owen flashed a dead smile. “You won’t remember the betrayal if you are dead! And you won’t whore yourself around!” He said and Ophelia rolled her eyes.
“Did you like hit your head somewhere? It doesn’t work like that!” Ophelia softly said as she took a small step forward. “I just need you to heal my broken heart, Owen. Drop the gun and let’s talk.”
“You wanna talk?” He asked and Ophelia nodded with a smile.
“Yes, let’s talk.” She took another step forward and Owen slightly lowered his weapon.
“You will come back-
“Drop the gun you bustard!” Onyx growled from behind and Ophelia groaned in disappointment. “Just great!”
Owen turned towards Onyx and aimed his gun at him. “Don’t come near! You are the one who ruined our relationship! She left me because of you and now that she wants to come back to me you want to take her away from me again!” Owen hollered and Onyx looked pissed.
“She is mine! She always has been and will be! She will never get back to you!” Onyx growled and Ophelia stared at him dumbfounded. “What is wrong with you, you thick head! I was just distracting him!” She exclaimed and Owen glanced back at her.
“Distracting me! So, what you said were all lies? You don’t wanna come back and keep on whoring yourself!” Owen hollered as he slowly turned around with his gun.
“Owen you bustard! Turn at me! I’ll kill you if you even leave a scratch on her!” Onyx inhumanly growled but Owen didn’t listen.
“Owen listen to me, you don’t wanna do this! This is not you!” Ophelia had her hands raised in the air as she tried to calm Owen. But it was as if all her words fell on deaf ears. Onyx kept growling and screaming but he didn’t budge. The next few moments passed in a blur as Owen’s finger went to the trigger and Onyx growled. Ophelia’s eyes widened and she ducked as Owen pulled the trigger and the gunshot the bullet. But what surprised her more was the noise of the bones breaking and reforming. She stared ahead with wide horror filled eyes as she watched Onyx’s body twist in every direction, his face filled with anger and agony as he lunged at Owen. Black fur sprouted through his tan skin in front of her eyes, and in a matter of moments, a black vicious wolf took Onyx's place. Ophelia collapsed to the ground, her wide eyes fixed on how the wolf tore apart Owen's arm and his sharp canines tore into his skin.
As the beast looked at her with golden eyes, red blood had coated the beast's muzzle and white teeth, unconsciously, Ophelia drew back, and the beast snarled and snapped its jaw at her. She froze in place as the beast ignored Owen and moved steadily towards her. Ophelia sucked in a breath and watched the beast's every move as it approached her. As the beast's muzzle nears her face, she slowly drew her head back. It sniffed her neck and face. When its muzzle touched the skin of her neck and growled, she let out a whimper. The beast bared its canines at her, and then, as if something had triggered in him, he drew back. It thrashed its head around as it struggled to keep its balance on its legs. The beast drew itself away from her. Her breath hitched as the beast whimpered and looked up at her. The majestic wolf abruptly turned away and ran as fast as the wind. She was left sitting on the filthy ground. Alone.
