"Onyx! Now you remembered me!" His husky chuckle came through as she exclaimed.
"I know, I'm sorry. I was just caught up in work."
"I understand. It's all right. When are you going to return?" When Ophelia asked, he sighed, which was not a good sign.
"I'm not sure. There is still a lot of work to be done."
"Ow, okay." Ophelia's voice was filled with underlying despair and Onyx hurriedly said from the other side.
"But I promise I'll finish everything and get back to you as soon as possible!"
"You'd better show up soon! I'll punch you in the guts if you don't!" Onyx chuckled as she threatened.
"I am certain you will. And I know it will be excruciatingly painful, so please know that I will come as soon as possible." Ophelia nodded, oblivious to the fact that he couldn't see her.
"So, what are you doing?" He inquired, and Ophelia leaned back in her chair. "Nothing really, just trying to help Dad." Ophelia shrugged.
"Are you in the office?" He asked
"Yeap."
"Okay-" there was a brief pause before Onyx said it again. "Talk to you later? I have to go."
"Okay."
"Adieu, léift."
"Bye, Onyx." Ophelia sighed as she hung up the phone and leaned back with her eyes closed. When she heard hushed footsteps, Ophelia took a few deep breaths and opened her eyes. The door to her small temporary office was wide open, and she noticed someone peering in. Ophelia tilted her head to see who it was, but they didn't look inside again.
After a while, he peered into the office room again, but this time he frowned when he saw that it was empty. He looked around for her, but the room was empty. When someone cleared their path, he shrieked. He slowly turned around to see Ophelia staring at him with cold eyes and an emotionless face. He saw a twinkle the moment their eyes met, and before he knew it, Ophelia had wrapped her arms around him in a bone-crushing hug.
"Onyx!" She exclaimed as he was thrown off balance and fell to the floor on his back with Ophelia in his arms. Onyx burst out laughing as she snuggled into him and he wrapped his arms around her.
"Oh My God! You are really here!" She exclaimed as she sat up, on his torso, her legs on either side of his body. Her hand cupped his cheek as she gazed at him with adoring eyes.
"Yes, I am! What else do you believe you're perched on?" Onyx chuckled and she hugged him again resting her head on his chest. "I hate to say this but I missed you." Onyx's hands gripped her tightly as she grumbled. "I, too, missed you, meng fuuss." (My Vixen)
"How come you didn't tell me you were here?"
"How would I have surprised you if I had?" Onyx chuckled as he sat up, Ophelia on his lap. Onyx shook his head as she smiled sheepishly. "But how did you disappear from the office room?" He asked, perplexed, and Ophelia smirked.
"There is a door that connects that office." Onyx nodded as she pointed to the office next to hers. "That explains it!" He muttered and Ophelia grinned. Onyx stared at her with unwavering eyes filled with adoration. His hand gently grasped her face, and his thumb caressed her cheekbone.
"I missed you so much, my love." He muttered as his lips engulfed hers in a passionate kiss. Ophelia's body was set on flames as his lips devoured hers. And she truly understood how much her body and soul missed him. He pulled back and they smiled at each other.
"Would you like to go for a drive and dinner?" When he asked, Ophelia shook her head.
"Let's return to our room. I'd like to spend a serene evening with you." With a smile, Ophelia said, and Onyx nodded.
After a few hours, they were crawling into bed with snacks. A comedy film was playing on the flat screen, and Ophelia was snuggled up against Onyx's side. They laughed and munched on their snacks while watching the movie. After two excruciating days, Ophelia was finally at some kind of peace. The last two days, all that revolved in her head was the face of that woman and her words. She couldn't distract herself no matter how hard she tried. But now that he was here, Leona's image had finally faded from her mind. Onyx was her distraction, and he kept her serene even without them knowing. When she thought of a distraction, something brilliant came to mind and she got up.
"Where are you going?" Onyx inquired as Ophelia climbed down from her bed. "I'm going to change into something warmer," Ophelia responded as she walked to her closet, grabbed her clothes, and dashed to the bathroom.
She shaved her legs and every hairy part of her body, moisturised her skin, and sprayed a sweet citrus fragrance on her body. Ophelia carefully slipped into the red lacy fabric that barely covered her breasts and mound and stared at her reflection in the mirror. It was something she had picked up while out shopping for a dress. And the lacy delicate fabric, pattern, and allure of it compelled her to buy it right away. Ophelia took a few deep breaths before walking to the door. She yanked open the bathroom door after unlatching the lock. Onyx's gaze was fixed on the television, while Ophelia stood against the doorframe, her hand resting on her bare waist. It wasn't long before her sweet fragrance reached his nostrils and the red fabric drew his attention. Onyx's mouth slightly opened as he took in her body, which was dressed in red lacy lingerie. Ophelia noticed how the corners of his eyes had darkened and his nose had flared up with hunger. His sharp brown eyes slowly descended, leaving a scorching path of fire in their wake.
"F*uck!" He growled, and a smirk formed on her lips. His gaze returned to her face, and her smirk only amplified his hunger. His hands were on her waist the next thing she knew. He immediately hoisted her up and threw her on the soft bed. Onyx moved closer, her body quivering with anticipation, with a predatorial demeanour. As he hovered over her, Ophelia held her breath. He placed his hand on either side of her head. As he leaned in closer, Ophelia looked up at his darkened eyes and gulped as his hand sinfully traced her jaw. Ophelia's teeth tugged on her lower lip, and his gaze was drawn to her bottom lip. Ophelia waited as his gaze travelled all over her body, feasting on the meal he was about to devour.
"If this is what a serene quiet evening entails, I'm never leaving this room." Onyx huskily growled as his lips devoured hers. Ophelia moaned against his lips as he thrust his tongue into her mouth. Ophelia squirmed as his hand greedily explored her body. The hand on her jaw lightly gripped her neck, choking her and halting her movements.
His dominance, his pheromones, scent and his scorching touches were taking her breath away. He, his touch, and his body were all she could think about. Anticipation of what was to come pulled into her making her body tremble with need. But suddenly Onyx stopped. Ophelia frowned as he drew away from her and began convulsing. "What's wrong?" She asked, terrified, as Onyx struggled to breathe, clutching his chest. She moved closer to him, but he flung himself away from her, his palm clapped over his mouth. He tried to squirm, even more, groaning and grunting in excruciating pain.
"G-get out of here! I need you to r-run!" He managed to spit out while looking as if he was being suffocated.
"How can I abandon you like this? Tell me what's wrong? Are you in pain? I-I'll get help!" Ophelia hollered as she slipped into his hoodie next to the bed and moved closer to the bedroom door. She unlocked the door and was about to step out when a calloused hand grabbed her ankle and yanked her to the ground. Ophelia landed hard on the ground, her head thudding against the floor. Her body screamed in agony as she felt warm liquid pool around her head. Her vision became hazy as her breathing became laboured. Only a glimpse she got of him before darkness enshrouded her.
