Chapter 12

*******Leoni 's POV******
11 Slices in my thigh to prove so.
TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!
I get married to Carter in less than a few hours and my life will truly be over!
My mother should be coming for me soon. The only good thing is I don't actually have to see Carter until the ceremony.
"Okay Mrs. Stone I'm all finished, all she needs to do now is get into her dress” The makeup artist said to mom
My Mom nodded at her causing her to bow and leave the room.
"Stand up" My mother said simply as she went to a closet in order to fetch my dress.
I've not seen my dress yet but to be honest I'm not entirely excited about putting it on. This wedding is a curse for me not a blessing.
I stripped out of my pajamas to reveal my bruised, skinny frame in the mirror. I wore a white wedding gown that was strapless and my bodice was covered with embroidery. The gown was also sewn with pearl beads and rhinestones. In my hand was the silk bouquet of French roses. I was thinner after 11 days confinement, yes. But not as thin as I had hoped.
Carter will still call me fat no doubt...
I took one final look at the dress, not feeling satisfied at all before heading back out and allowing my Mom to zip up the back for me.
Like I said... the dress was pretty but it wasn't a nice feeling to know that it was for Carter...
"Put your shoes on and meet me down stairs, the ceremony starts in thirty minutes." My Mom sighs out before leaving my room.
I open the box containing my shoes and find some simple white heels. Nothing too extreme but I didn't care.
I put my heels on and done as I was told. I headed down stairs to see my Mother and James waiting for me by the door, both with looks of boredom.

James gave me a weak smile when he saw me whilst my mother ignored me completely.
When the car pulled up at the ceremony, I swear I literally felt my body melting into the seat. I was unable to move.
We were in the middle of a huge clearing which was filled with over 800 people, all seated, and who were now staring directly over at our car.
Cool classical music played in the background. Streamers and balloons fluttered in enclosed railings with the vibrant red, green, and blue colors radiating throughout the premises. Rows of luxurious cars stood parked on the far side of the venue’s left and the overhead sun made them glitter.
The day of the wedding is the most important day in a person's life by far. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, you surely fantasized at least once about how it would be, and most of the decisions about the food, music and location have already been made in them. Everything in front of me is exactly the same as I imagined

The background music started to fade slowly and was replaced by bridal choruses as heads abruptly turned towards the aisle’s far end where I was making my entrance. But At the far end stood Carter, my father, a random man and a few of Carter’s friends stood waiting. He is the only place that is different from my imagination

Saying "I Do" to a man that I don't love in front of all of these people. I can't do it. I need a miracle and I need one now!

The next thing I know, my car door is being opened by James as he reaches out his hand to help me. I flinch away from his hand like I usually do with everyone now and he shoots me a pleading look.
"I have to walk you down the aisle..." James whispers to me as we approach the end and wait for the music to play.

My father is supposed to walk me down the aisle traditionally but I guess he doesn't want to anymore...

He hates me.

I ignore the heart ache that I feel and nod at James . The music begins to play and James takes the first step urging me to go forward with him. I take his arm and walk through the crowds slowly feeling everyone's gazes melting into my appearance.

I begin to approach Carter as slowly as possible once I'm up the steps in an attempt to hold onto my freedom for just a little while longer.

As he begins to ramble on about couples and stuff, I can't help but worry about saying "I do" in front of everyone... even worse, I will have to have my first kiss with Carter on this stage.

My wolf Leah suddenly breeds like rabbits. Something seems to be attracting her. “Leah, what happened? Clam down.” I tried to talk to her, but got no response.

Leah was freaking me out, but I gathered my composure and nonchAdamtly walked forward.

I also started to feel strange, my heartbeat started to speed up. I feel someone in the crowd narrowly staring at me. Who is it?

"Okay so now that everyone is seated and ready to go, let's begin the ceremony..." I hear the man that I didn't recognize from the car earlier announce.

I looked down the stage, trying to find that guy, but everyone's eyes are focused on the stage at the moment.

"So, Carter..." The man starts to say, causing me to break away from my thoughts and glance up at him.

“Do you, Carter Reign, Take Miss Leoni Stone, daughter of the Alpha of the Silver Ace Pack to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The man asks and I can feel the tears building up in my eyes.

It's all happening so fast and I can't take living with any of these people.

"I do." Carter boldly states whilst smirking down at me victoriously.

I begin to tremble under his gaze, letting the words that he just said in front of all of these people settle into my mind.

"I Do."

"I Do."

"I Do."

Meanwhile, all guests down the stage looked curiously at me like I am crazy woman. I'm still trying to find that person. I feel I am about to lose control of my wolf; I have to find the source of the problem as soon as I can.

I feel that the source of excitement is coming from my front right.
I look in that direction, among the bustling crowd, one person was particularly dazzling, because he is staring at me with a twinkle like stars in his eye. At that moment, all the other people disappeared from my eyes.

Yes, this man was the man.
