Chapter 39 - Rocks

******Maddison's POV*****

At this point I was holding my sleeve over Seth's face in hopes that it would quieten his yelling.

I was so scared that we would get caught any minute now.

"Shhhh Seth it's alright! We need to get through this together okay..." I soothe him as he sweats severely and thrashes around on the ground.

"Shhhh I'm right here..." I continue, keeping my shaking hand on his mouth as he cries.

Although his yells are muffled they are still louder than what I had hoped they would be.

"Just breathe Seth there's not much longer left now... come on Just breathe..." I encourage him, as he struggles but nonetheless tries to take my advice.

I suddenly jolt upright from the sickening laugh that screeches from right behind me, catching me off guard completely.

My full body goes numb from the intrusion as my fear soon settles in...

Seth continues to yell and scream in agony on the ground as I finally come face to face with the bitch that's ruined so many lives... including my mates.

"Silvia..." I whisper, her smile growing as her eyes rake over my appearance.

"My precious... precious... little blood bank. I found youuuu..." She steps closer to me, her voice growing louder with each word as I step in front of Seth feeling the need to protect him.

I refuse to let her hurt him!

"Trying to protect the useless boy I see? What's the point though dear when I'm going to kill him anyway..." She drawls out, laughing sickeningly again causing me to flinch.

Now I know why Coda was always so scared... she oozed authority. Not the good kind like my fathers though... an evil dominance that was suffocating to anybody in her presence...

"I've been desperate for a taste of your blood recently..." She suddenly whispers so slowly that it sends a long chill up my spine.

"I'll make sure this hurts as a punishment for thinking you could actually run and hide from me like this... you stupid dumb bitch... your idiot of a father can't come for you and your useless pathetic mate is dead... you belong to me now..." She laughs in my face, grabbing a tight hold of my arm as she crushes it- causing me to wince.

My heart felt like it had been ripped out with her words and I refuse to believe that Coda is dead and that my father can't get here...

"Don't you dare say that! They will come for me and they will kill you! You're nothing more than an evil old cow!" I spit in her face, my eyes beginning to water from her statement.

"You'll regret fucking doing that to me!" She screeches In a rage as she wipes her face, and in a split instant I'm tackled to the ground- landing with a thump.

"I'm going to drain you of blood to the point you'll be struggling to breathe you little whore! Your life is worthless now so accept it!" She grits out so close to my face that her sickening breath chokes me alone.

Just as I begin to feel her teeth grazing my neck there's suddenly a loud-

CRACK!

She suddenly flops on top of me unconscious- which causes me to scream in fright.

"What the hell!" I yell in a frenzy, pushing her heavy weight off from my petite frame only to see Seth in his sweating state with a large boulder in hand.

"R-Run..." He hisses at me in pain, as I realise he's completely drained of energy now.

"No I won't leave you!" I waste no time in hauling him up as I begin to move quickly as far away from her as possible.

I take off running. I'm not sure where I was going but I needed to get us away somehow... I can't just let her kill us... she will for sure kill Seth now after he did that!

I press faster, struggling to carry Seth with me as he continues to groan and hiss in pain.

I'm forced to halt in my tracks as he releases a deafening yell and drops to his knees harshly- his back snapping backwards completely moments later.

No no no no no!

This can't be happening right now! He's about to fucking shift! I can't possibly touch him... if I touch him it will feel like his bones are shattering...

I can't leave him either...

We are trapped... we are going to die... oh Moon Goddess please help us out of this mess!

I watch again as his body snaps forward, his two arms both snapping in unnatural directions causing him to release another curdling yell.

My heart broke at the sight of him... why now Seth!

In an instant I was tackled to the floor again, my body launching half way across the grass and landing with a heavy thud.

"You fucking stupid brat! You can sit right here and watch as I murder your precious fucking friend for the stunt he just pulled!" Silvia screams in my face, her nails drawing blood from both of my arms as she holds me down.

I watch as she releases one of my arms, before landing a rock solid punch to my nose as I hear it crack followed by the pain shooting up through my entire face.

I scream and grip my bleeding nose as she moves towards Seth in a fury.

My blurry tear filled eyes struggle to see as I blink them back rapidly.

"Please... Please leave him alone! Let him go I beg you please!" I yell as loudly as possible, unable to control the floods of tears that fall from my eyes.

I felt dizzy from the impact of her punch and I tried so hard to fight it but I was struggling...

I watch as she lifts a huge boulder close to Seth. One much bigger than a persons head, as she hoists it high above her, ready to beat him to death with it...

I close my eyes, unable to bare the sight of her killing him as his body snapped and cracked around on the floor helplessly...

I crunch my eyes sobbing- awaiting the horrific sound...

And it came like expected causing me to scream... Seth! Not Seth! He didn't deserve any of this!

I open my blurry eyes to see she had in fact dropped the boulder... but Seth's body was nowhere to be seen?

It was gone?

Silvia seemed to look just as horrified as I was...

Suddenly... two large figures leapt over my head causing me to gasp in horror at the sudden entry.

Silvia wasted no time in shifting into her large wolf as she tossed what looked like my brother Karson's wolf to the side with ease?

Karson? Could it really be Karson? Am I dreaming?

I watched as his back was hit roughly against a tree.

He bounced back to his feet seconds after the impact though and sprinted straight back towards her...

I turned my attention to the other wolf, my vision blurring again with tears as I tried to focus on what was happening.

Coda? Was it really Coda? It was. It had to be. I could tell! It was my brother and Coda for sure and they had came to save us!

I watched Silvia's wolf suddenly jump onto Coda's back, ripping her teeth into his neck before my brother tackled her off clawing a huge scratch across her face causing her to yelp slightly.

I sat there screaming and sobbing feeling useless and hurt all in one.

Before I could process anything else, Farah in her deer form came sprinting up behind Silvia at lightening speed before she turned sharply and kicked Silvia's wolf with her hind legs sending Silvia's wolf flying through the air until she disappeared in plain sight...

Wait what? She disappeared? How?

My mind was now racing at a hundred miles an hour...

Coda, Farah and my brother all followed the direction that Silvia had gone- them too disappearing as well before my very eyes- leaving me sitting here alone...

Had this whole thing been a dream? Or a nightmare?

I held my gushing nose as I just broke down crying. Why would they leave me here though?

Then I heard a yelp...

I jump with fright from the small noise as I turn to see a small puppy sized wolf trotting towards me.

My instincts kicked in straight away as I lifted it onto my lap to comfort the whimpering animal...

The second I looked into it's eyes... in that moment I knew...

It was Seth.
