Chapter 43 - Tiger

*****Maddison's POV*****

I woke up early this morning and had to pinch myself a few times to know that this was all real... I was actually home.

I quickly showered, brushed my teeth and got dressed and headed down stairs. My Mom was awake and I could hear her chatting to someone in the living room.

As I walked in I noticed Adam sitting beside my Mom before he leapt to his feet excitedly when seeing me.

"Maddison! I wanted to wake you up sooner but your Mom wouldn't allow it!" He grumbled before pulling me into a tight bear hug causing me to laugh.

I missed my crazy family so much.

"I've missed you." I hug him back as he kisses my head.

"I've missed you so much... your Dads been a massive pain in the ass the whole time you've been gone..." He complains jokingly causing me to laugh again.

If you're ever sad or upset then just spend the day with Adam... he makes everything seem better.

"Okay... so we have a surprise for you..." He pulls away from our hug as my Mom stands up smiling at us.

"We were going to wait until everyone had woke up but Adam here is too excited about it." My Mom laughs as we follow Adam out of the room.

Strangely enough he heads towards a guest bedroom causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Why are we here at some random bedroom?

"Okay close your eyes." Adam chirps, as I do as I'm told with my Mom taking my hand softly.

I hear the door click open before my Mom tugs at my hand to guide me forward.

"Okay... you can open your eyes in...3...2...1..." Adam sings, before I open my eyes to gasp at the room before me.

It was filled with many wrapped up presents and gifts with pink balloons all hanging from the ceiling.

"W-What?" I question, my eyes wide with shock.

"We kept all of your birthday gifts in here for when you got back..." My Mom tells me, as I look around the room not knowing where to start.

"You didn't have to..." I begin to say before my Mom cuts me off.

"We would never miss your eighteenth birthday Maddison! I know that you always dreamed of throwing a big garden party for your eighteenth birthday with a DJ and stuff but we could still arrange something now that you're home? I understand if a party is too overwhelming for you right now though but if you still want one then we can sort it out." My Mom explains before I pull her in for a tight hug.

"I love you so much! This surprise has made me so happy!" I yell, my eyes watering from how thoughtful my family were.

"Seriously though... I think a party is what this pack needs now that you're back..." Adam trails off, my Mom shoving him playfully to be quiet.

He's right. We do need a party to lighten the mood around here again now that everything's finally back to normal.

"Yeah I agree." I smile, as Adam fist bumps the air causing us to laugh.

"I'll have it organised for Saturday night right away!" He exclaims as he pulls out his phone and begins to type frantically.

"I see that Adam couldn't wait for us before showing you the surprise then..." I hear a deep voice say as we turn to see my Dad now standing by the door to the room.

We all chuckle as Adam continues to concentrate on his phone- probably inviting everybody and anybody to my new party this coming Saturday.

"Oh... by the way Kane... we are throwing a huge birthday party out your back yard for Maddison this Saturday just so you're aware... and another thing... I don't think there's enough room for you to come so you aren't invited." Adam rants casually as my father glares back at him in return.

The relationship between Adam and my father was priceless. Adam was a complete wind up and my father was too hot headed to handle him.

"Does Maddison even want a party or did you pressure her into it you idiot!" My father retorts as Adam just scoffs.

"I want one Dad. It's what we need around here to lighten the mood. Everyone's been so on edge and I don't like them having to live like that because of me." I explain, as my Dad stares at me for a moment.

"It isn't your fault that the pack has been worried about you." My Dad retorts.

"No it's mine." We all turn to see Coda standing by the door with Karson - now looking as shameful as ever as I just give him a pitiful look.

"It's nobody's fault but that witch Silvia's! We are all home and we are all safe so yes, a party sounds like a lovely idea to celebrate Maddison's return and also her birthday which by the way, she still has all of these birthday presents to open up so let's get to it!" My Mom speaks up as she pulls me over to a chair in the room before handing me the first gift.

"I figured you would want this one first." She smiles, as she hands me the small wrapped up pink box.

Everyone else grabs a seat as they watch me open up my presents.

I tare the paper back to reveal the latest iPhone causing me to squeal in excitement like a child.

Oh how I missed having a phone!

"Thanks so much Mom and Dad!" I yell, standing to hug them both as they smile.

I continued to open the presents for the next hour- many new shoes, clothes, perfumes, makeup, bags, jewellery and of course some new essentials like shower sets etc.

I was spoiled and I was so grateful for everything I had got.

"I can't thank you all enough!" I state as everyone smiles at me.

By this point Seth was also in the room back to his original form wearing some fresh clothes and shoes smiling brightly.

Seth was probably now my best friend after what we had both gone through.

"Karson has one last surprise for you..." My Mom states causing my eyes to widen as Karson exits the room suddenly.

"Let's go through to the living area." My Dad states as we all stand to leave.

What could this surprise be? I've been given so much already.

We walk towards the living area, seeing Farah sitting on the couch with a large box on her lap as Karson stood beside her smugly.

"Open it." Karson states, gesturing to the box as I walk towards it.

Just as I'm about to reach forward to pull off the lid, the lid suddenly pops off followed by a small bark as a puppy's head pops up with its tongue hanging out and it's tail wagging wildly.

"A PUPPY!" I scream, hugging my brother tightly before lifting the little animal from its box causing it to lick my face excitedly.

"We know you always wanted one after Bear had passed so Karson figured he would get him for your birthday." My Mom states as the tears begin to flow wildly from my eyes.

I was so blessed to be home with such an amazing family.

"Does he have a name yet?" I ask, hugging my puppy tightly.

"Not yet..." Karson confirms as I grin.

I study him for a few moments.

"Tiger. His name will be Tiger." I announce, as I look at the small auburn stripes coating his caramel fur.

Everyone chuckles at the name and I smile at my new little family member.

I turn to see everyone in the room smiling- even Farah, Seth and Coda as we all laugh together.

Everyone seemed happy.

"Ok so I'm assuming you girls need to go get new dresses for this party then..." My Dad states as my Mum grins.

"Obviously..." She trails off earning a playful glare from my father.

"Well I will give you my card and you, Maddison, Seth, Farah, Karson and Adam can all go to the mall. I'll have my guards accompany you." My father tells my Mom, handing her his bank card like it's nothing.

"Sounds great!" I chime, as Adam grins at his idea.

"Just buy them everything that they want... it's on me." He tells my Mom again, before kissing her head softly.

"Coda and I have some business to attend to." He then states as I look over to Coda who nods in understanding.

"What business?" I question curiously, as Coda smiles over to me causing butterfly's to erupt within my stomach.

"We are sorting out which rogues deserve a chance at joining our pack and which ones don't and on the subject of rogues... Karson..." My Dad turns to Karson with a slight glare.

"Turn yourself rogue like that again son and I will kick your ass!" He states, causing Karson to chuckle- unfazed by his warning.

"As the Alpha King, I hear-by invite my son Karson Blood to rejoin my pack and to continue to become the heir to the throne." My father announces, as Karsons dirty rogue scent immediately disappears as he rejoins the pack.

I'm extremely thankful that he turned himself rogue to help get me back but it will take him a while to build his strength back up to what it was before.

Turning rogue turns you weaker which sucks in his case but I know for a fact he will get there. He's just as determined as my Dad.

"Seth and Farah... what is your second names?" He then turns to them, causing me to furrow my eyebrows as to why he missed out Coda.

"Seth Grain." Seth states quietly causing my Dad to nod.

"Farah Hunt." Farah states next.

"As the Alpha King, I hear-by invite Seth Grain and Farah Hunt to join my pack whether or not they choose to accept my offer is up to them..." He states, as Seth smiles brightly at his words along with Farah.

"I accept!" They both state in unison before their vile rogue scents soon disappear too.

But what about Coda? Was my Dad not wanting to give him a chance yet? What is going on?

"But Dad... what about Coda?" I question sadly, as everyone turns to look at me when I ask.

"It's nothing personal sweet heart... I just have a feeling that he won't be a part of our pack for very long." He smiles, confusing the hell out of me.

"What? Are you going to banish him or something? He's my mate Dad and it's only fair to at least give him a chance..." I ramble as my father cuts me off with a laugh.

"Maddison princess... I think Coda is destined to become an Alpha not just an average pack member... I think there may be a high chance that he will take over from his father once we pay his old pack a little visit... which will also make you a Luna angel if things turn out how I think they will." My father confirms, Coda smiling at him gratefully when hearing his statement.
