Chapter 20 - Oh Shit

******Alpha King's POV******

"Didn't I fucking tell you both to track the damn bitch!" I roar out, as Leoni places her hand on my back in an attempt to calm me slightly.

After that weirdo Silvia had left my office, I mind-linked my two best trackers to follow after her, watching her every move to see where she was going...

Here they were, four hours later, informing me that she had somehow vanished into thin air.

"Sir we swear on the Moon Goddess herself it's true... she walked out into an open field as we watched her, hidden in the trees, and then she just... vanished...we even searched the whole place twice and didn't find a trace of her... not even a scent." Terry mutters in disbelief, showing no signs of lying.

"Sweet heart, I think what they are both saying is true..." I hear Leoni's angelic voice say from beside me, watching as both men gulp in fear that I won't believe them.

They know what happens to those who lie to me... they get a first class ticket to my cells along with a very special, very entertaining visit from myself and some of my favourite weapons...

Both of these men have been loyal to me for years, and therefore they have no reason to lie.

"Write down the coordinates of where you say she vanished... then you may both leave." I state, as Derrin moves forward to scribble down the numbers on the paper for me.

"West side territory? The clearing close to the mountains?" I confirm, as they both nod their heads, anxious to be dismissed.

"Okay you may leave. Thank you." I state, as they bow their heads and rush out the door.

"Someone send Preston up here!" I then bellow, as a guard from outside my office nods in understanding.

"Please be patient love." Leoni whispers, rubbing small circles on my back to calm me.

"I'm trying." I grumble, pulling her in for a hug as I inhale her scent slowly.

"You're the one and only thing keeping me stable at this point..." I state, as she sighs in my arms.

I'm ready to go on a killing spree any minute now... believe me...

Our moment is cut short as knocks are heard on my office door.

I sit in my chair, pulling Leoni down onto my lap before yelling at the person to enter.

I watch as Preston walks in, looking curious as to what I could possibly want him for now.

"My trackers followed her all the way to the West side territory and they claim she vanished in the middle of a field." I state, causing Preston to freeze slightly, before he sits himself in the chair opposite me.

"She vanished?" He asks again, almost as if he didn't believe what I had just said.

I nod slowly, Leoni resting her head against my shoulder, clearly fed up with the whole thing.

"Did your trackers possibly look away for a moment and lose her or...?" He suggests and I shake my head.

"Those two are the best trackers in the world... they both knew how important following this woman was and they wouldn't have blown it by taking their eyes off her. I trust them more than that." I state, as he nods in understanding.

"Well... what if that stupid kids story is actually true?" He suggests, a thought that had also crossed my mind but I didn't want to believe it.

"But if there is such a land, wouldn't it have been discovered years ago?" I question, as he sighs in disbelief at the whole thing.

"Well I guess since it's rogues they didn't want to be found?" He then says, as I nod in understanding.

"I feel like a fool for believing in such a dumb story but I suppose there is no other answer for why she had managed to just disappear like that at this point?" I growl lowly, angry at this whole situation.

"Well if there is such a land... at least we now know where it is..." He smiles softly, causing me to nod in agreement with him.

"True...very true... all we can do now is wait to see if she brings us the man like she said." I state, as he nods.

"And if she doesn't deliver?" He questions me warily as I smirk.

"Then I track her down myself and kill her." I state, the thought of killing that woman exciting me slightly...

"At least we are getting somewhere." He smiles slightly, standing from his chair to exit my office.

"I want border patrol doubled... if you find anything at the border within the next two days I want contacted immediately!" I demand in my Alpha tone, mind linking all of my pack warriors.

I look down to see that Leoni was now asleep in my arms... she didn't sleep much these days so this was good for her.

I lift her with ease, carrying her out of my office before heading to take her up to our room.

All I can do now is wait for the time being...

*******Coda's POV*******

I decided that the most natural place for me to be when she arrived back was the gym so that's exactly where I headed.

I done a few rounds with the punching bag, covering myself in a light sweat so that it looked believable that I had been training all day.

I studied Warren in the far corner, trying to teach Seth the basics about fighting, though the kid was helpless.

He would just laugh at some of the moves that Warren showed him and even when he did decide to attempt the others he had no power at all.

I'll make sure that kid gets trained to be a doctor when we get out of here for sure...

I was lost in my thoughts for a moment before all of a sudden the atmosphere grew colder, the light chatter amongst the men in here began to silence, and I just knew...

I exchanged a quick look with Warren, before he averted his gaze back to Seth, trying to act casual.

She was back.

I stood still for a moment, my back turned away from the doors entering the gym...

"Hi handsome. Did you miss me?"
