Chapter 23 - Unstable
*******Alpha King's POV******
A full twenty-four hours later and it's time.
I now sat in my office chair, waiting for the boy to be delivered to me in his much fitter state... Though he may not remain in a fit state by the end of this meeting.
Three knocks were heard on the door, causing me to sit up straighter with anticipation.
"Enter!" I roar, putting on my scariest tone just to set the atmosphere.
Four guards enter, holding the boy tightly, yet he doesn't seem to want to fight or struggle against them... he just allows himself to be dragged in.
He enters with his head hung low with what seems to be huge amounts of worry hanging over his face?
He almost looks defeated?
They halt in front of my desk, still holding him firmly, allowing me time to study the boy who was now cleaner and fully clothed.
He just looked like an average boy... covered in tattoos like myself...
But don't let looks deceive you Kane...
He could be the one that took Maddison away from us.
"Sit the fuck down pup!" I growl, as the guards now release the boy who immediately does as I say, his head still focused on the floor.
"You may leave." I state, not breaking my stare from the boy, as my guards scurry off like mice knowing that I'm not in the mood for games today...
"Your name?" I demand, causing him to gulp slightly.
He didn't seem to be scared of me though...
Although his body language and face suggested that he was worried and scared... something was off.
Something told me that his worry and fear came from else where and had nothing to do with me...
"Coda." He comments, his tone surprisingly stronger than I had expected.
If I would have been blindfolded in this moment, hearing a voice like that would have fooled me into believing that I was in the presence of a fellow Alpha... and a strong one to say the least.
Though none of the other Alphas were really strong when it came to facing me were they...
I'm thee Alpha.
"A little birdy told me that you took someone very special and important from me... so tell me Coda, is this true?" I question him icily as a long silence begins to engulf the room causing me to sweat lightly at what his response could be.
I watch him closely, as he shifts his weight in the chair, almost like he was battling with himself on what his answer should be...
Not a good sign.
He lifts his head for the first time of being in here, seeming to scan over my features for a brief moment, before he closes his eyes over and gulps for a second time.
"I...I did sir yes." His eyes remain closed, his face seeming to cringe as the words leave his lips.
I begin to shake.
He just admitted it. As simple as that. He said it was fucking him! No interrogation needed, no threats, no violence... I asked a simple question and he just fucking admitted it!
My blood became hotter and my heart began to pump quicker.
He fucking took her away from me!
This little piece of worthless fucking shit took my daughter away from me!
Filthy bastard of a rogue.
I stand immediately from my seat, slamming my fists down into the table causing yet another crack to be made from the impact.
But right before I can react, and before I get the chance to land a punch to his face, the door swings open, revealing Leoni as she walks in quietly to hand me over a coffee.
If she hadn't have entered in this minute, the boys head would've probably been at the opposite end of the room.
I would've lost it.
But seeing her always calms me.
I need to find out how to get Maddison back before I kill him. He's my only source at this point...
I watch as Leoni approaches my desk, her eyes questioning our situation as she takes in how young the boy actually is.
Once she reaches me, I notice that the boys eyes scan over Leonis features, almost looking shocked at seeing her in person for the first time...
"You..." A word leaves his lips, as his eyes water slightly, causing Leoni and I to freeze.
I glare at him, daring for him to say the wrong thing to my mate...
"She looks so much like you..." He breathes out, staring sadly at Leoni as her mouth now hangs open in shock.
The next thing I know, I had tackled him across the room, laying punches into his face and body like there was no tomorrow.
I faintly hear Leoni screaming in the background- her never liking when I lose control yet I ignore her.
I want to keep hitting this scum bag. This vile childish boy that thought he could take away my baby and never be caught!
Punch after punch, bones cracking, muscles crumbling. I kept hitting him.
Before I know it, six guards or more were restraining me back, allowing me to take in the blood soaked boy as he now lay coughing on the floor.
The piece of shit deserved it.
He deserved a lot more than a few fucking punches!
"Guards please clean up the boy and take him to the cells." I hear Leoni ask softly, before I see four guards picking the boy up from the floor before dragging him out.
"Leave me!" I growl, as all of the remaining guards now release me from their grips.
"You are all dismissed." Leoni states gently as they all nod respectfully at her on exit.
She takes my swollen fists in to her tiny hands before bringing them up to her lips to kiss them.
My chest continues to rise and fall dramatically along with my adrenaline being sky high with the tingling sensations touching every part of my body, egging for me to chase after the boy and to kill him.
Leoni was the only thing keeping me sane.
"You didn't let him properly talk Kane." She scolds me gently, as I growl in response.
"He admitted that he was the one that fucking took her before you came in! He even said that Maddison looks like you! He's obviously had a hand in her disappearance if he fucking knows that!" I rage, as Leoni glares at me slightly.
"Don't swear or shout at me!" She challenges me, causing me to sigh.
"I'm sorry angel." I grumble, placing a hard kiss to her head.
"What I mean is... we don't know his full story yet Kane... and we don't know what really happened to her... I believe he knows something, but whether or not it's really his fault is a different matter... he looked so upset and worried in here, especially when he spoke about her... he could barely get the words out because he was so broken and for all we know he might help us get her back." She calmly explains, allowing her point to make more sense to me now.
It was true. We don't know the full story yet, but I sure as hell plan on finding it out.
"Just give him a chance..." She asks softly, as I nod stiffly as a reply.
I can't promise that I won't be torturing the information out of him though...
