Chapter 55 - The End.
1 year later...
****Coda's POV****
My mother was finally well. She was still thin, but is much healthier than she was before.
Maddison and I had done a great job with running the pack so far and we had built new houses and a school for everyone. We had even built a training centre for the wolves here and the pack was growing stronger by the minute.
We had a lot of new wolves join our pack which increased our numbers rapidly since they had heard word of how good it was becoming.
I had appointed my Beta position to a boy named Josh who was 22. He was a great choice and I was surprised my father hadn't noticed his natural strengths during his time of being Alpha. He cared a lot for the pack as well which was important and turned out he had always helped out Sam whenever his father had beat him.
Sams father was executed by the King so Maddison and I decided to give Sam a room at our private home in the pack and we now treat him like family. My Mother also moved in with us since the home was pretty big and felt too empty with just the both of us living there.
We had knocked down my fathers home and had built a fresh house in replacement in order to rid the pack of any memory of him.
The pack cells were newly built and has a proper system with guards and toilets. We use these rarely for pack rebels and rogues.
Maddison and I were engaged and were planning to marry in four months time not to mention we are now expecting our first pup in six months which our family are ecstatic about.
Things were perfect just like I had prayed they would be and I've been trying to make things up to Maddison for the way I've treated her in the past though she tells me to forget it and to start a fresh.
Maddison's brother Karson was the soon to be heir to the Kings throne along with Farah who he had marked and claimed as his new mate and Luna.
They visited regularly and Seth moved to our pack home and became really close friends with Sam since they both go to school together now and Seth is now half way through training to become a pack doctor.
Maddison's dog now lives in our home too which can sometimes be a pain in the ass since he decides to sleep in between us both at night time but hey what can I do if it makes her happy?
My life has been a rollercoaster but I don't regret the life I've lived because after all the bullshit and drama... came an angel and a blessing.
"Ahhhhh Coda! Help me quick!" I suddenly snap out of my thoughts as I hear my mate call for help.
It sounds like it's coming from out back?
I race down the stairs in horror as to what's happening before I halt on the back porch to see the whole pack and family gathered with balloons, snacks and gifts.
"Happy birthday!" They chime in unison as Maddison giggles at my shocked and panting expression as everyone cheers.
Well fuck... I forgot that today is my birthday... I've never really celebrated it.
Maddison approaches me and kisses me softly, before everyone else shakes my hand and pats my back as I walk through the crowd laughing at the surprise.
I stop once I reach Kane and Leoni who stood with my own mother happily as they all laughed and joked. Maddison's mother embraces me in a tight hug, kissing my cheek and wishing me a happy birthday which is followed by a soft growl from Kane as he watches his mate kiss my cheek.
I laugh as she tells him to get over it and to stop being a child which causes him to roll his eyes as Adam chuckles from behind her too.
"Adam don't fucking laugh I told you not to be annoying today!" Kane growls at his cousin Adam who is probably the funniest guy I know as we all now laugh at their on going bickering.
"You've done amazing with the pack son!" Kane then chimes, shaking my hand before giving me a bro hug.
"I wouldn't be where I am today without you having faith in me... even at the beginning when we had to save Maddison... I just hope you know I really appreciate it." I tell him genuinely as he smiles and nods.
"I'm glad I put my trust in you Coda." He nods, before my Beta Josh grabs his attention to have a chat about war tactics.
"Don't forget to hug your Mother!" My Mom scolds softly, as she pulls me into a hug causing Maddison to giggle.
"Sorry Mom... how could I forget about you." I mumble as I squeeze her softly as she laughs.
"I love you Son and I'm so happy to live the life that I'm living thanks to you! I'm proud of you." She smiles, before releasing me to pull Maddison into a hug next.
"You too Maddison... if I could have created a perfect girl to become my sons mate I would have chose you... I love you like a daughter." She tells her, as Maddison hugs her back warmly.
"Thank you!" She smiles, causing me to smile at them both lovingly.
This was my life...
Would you believe it?
Who would have guessed that in the end I'd be living a perfect life... I give my last thanks to the Moon Goddess for giving me my second chance at happiness...
