Chapter 32 - Snap
*****Maddison's POV*****
It was now morning which only meant that things were about to get way more difficult for Seth and I being out here...
More people would be outside during the day which only means that there's more chance of being caught.
All it takes is for us to be caught by the wrong person...
Seth was currently asleep whilst I decided to eat some of the pasta in our food bag. Sure it was cold pasta but nonetheless it was amazing. He really did do me a huge favour by cooking all of this stuff and bringing it to my cell.
It felt nice too having some friendly company after the few days of not knowing where Coda was or what was going on.
**snap**
"Shit!" I mutter, as I listen carefully for any further sound.
**snap** **snap**
Branches being broken... crap!
"Seth quick wake up! Wake up!" I violently shake Seth before he shoots up in a startled panic.
**snap**
It goes again, causing his eyes to widen in horror.
I tug at his arm, pulling him back and into the most secluded part of our small area where large leaves and branches draped over us completely.
**snap** **snap** **snap**
The noises seem to get louder, as I look at a watery eyed Seth who looks beyond terrified.
We can't get caught yet! We've not even managed to hide out here for a full day!
I place my shaking finger to my lips in a hushing motion as Seth nods worriedly in understanding.
**SNAP**
A louder sound is heard causing us both to jump as it seems to come from right outside our hiding spot.
Something deep deep down is telling me to look to see what it could be...although the larger part of me is afraid of being caught and blowing our whole cover.
No further sounds are made... silence and the sound of water is all that's heard...
What if it's her though... what if she's found us out here...
I need to check... I hate feeling like a coward...
I lift my hand towards the leaf coverings, ready to pull them back in order to reveal what our fate will be on the other side...
I look at Seth one last time, noticing now a small tear that had escaped from his eyes.
I give him an uneasy nod, before I pull back the leaves slowly to take a look...
I gasp at the sight before me, turning to shake Seth in disbelief.
There it stood... on all fours... a stunning tan colour... looking as proud and as elegant as ever...
It was a deer.
A stunning large deer.
Seth peers out from behind me, gasping at the animal too as we both just gawk at it for a few moments.
I had never seen a deer before and judging from the amazed look on Seth's face, neither had he.
"It's beautiful." He comments, as I nod in agreement.
"Shall we try to give it some food?" I suggest, as Seth's eyes widen.
"Can we do that? It might attack us?" He replies nervously in which I just shrug.
"Yeah c'mon lets give it a try..." I state, as I come out from our hiding spot slowly.
As I approach it, Seth stays behind me warily, as the large creature watches our every move...
I believe it was a female... not to be rude to the creature at all but it had little star like shapes across its head making it look more glam.
It follows me as I bend down to retrieve an apple from our food bag.
It seems to perk up slightly at the sight of the large red fruit, which gives me a bit more confidence in approaching it...
As I near it with Seth still making sure to keep a fair distance behind me... I begin to hear large cracking and snapping sounds causing us both to halt in horror... it sounded almost as if the beautiful animal was actually shifting?
It can't be...
Can it?
******Alpha Kings POV******
"Take as much as you can without weakening me..." I state to the doctor, as he nods before placing the first large syringe into my arm.
"So let me get this right... if you inject the blood straight into my veins then it will build my strength up faster rather than me drinking it?" Coda asks from the second bed beside me in the room.
"Yes that is correct. I reckon we could probably take two syringes of the King's blood every six hours without weakening him." The doctor adds, causing us both to nod in understanding.
"What if I do it too?" We suddenly all snap round to look at Karson who was seated on one of the chairs in the room.
"No Karson." I automatically state, my father instincts kicking in naturally.
"I have the same blood as you... we could double his strength if we both did it? It's a better chance of the plan working." He explains with a shrug as I scowl.
"I'm not sure about this..." I retort, raising a brow at my confident looking son.
Nobody could deny that he was the exact same as me. If he wanted to do something then he would do it, no questions asked.
"Doctor please put my blood into Coda too after you have finished with my Dad..." Karson ignores me as he takes the matter into his own hands causing me to scowl again.
"If at any point you feel weaker or that you're being drained... you stop. Is that clear?" I state angrily, knowing that there's no point in trying to change his mind on it all.
After all... he was my son so who am I trying to kid.
"I know old man don't worry about me." He grins, causing me to roll my eyes at him.
I hope to fuck that with our blood Coda is strong enough to execute our plan so that I can kill Silvia...
