Chapter 50: Sophia Turner 3

"I hate them! I hate them!! I hate them!!!" Sophie yelled out the same thing for about the fourth time since she met Hazel. After leaving the Chancellor's office, she met Hazel walking through the hallway and immediately dragged her down to the restroom. Ever since then she had been yelling continuously about how she hated the Ranez girls and Alyssa without telling Hazel why.
"I have always known you hated them, what did they do now?"Hazel asked as she moved closer to Luciana.
"Hazel, you won't believe they reported me to the Chancellor and even had the guts to laugh at me. What gave them the mind?" Sophie jabbered, taking fast breaths that felt like she was lacking air.
"They reported you? I hope I was not included and how did they see you?" Hazel blurted out immediately, with shock appearing on her face.
Sophie who was in a rage about the girls did not fail to notice how Hazel was concerned about herself first, and not necessarily about the fact that she may have been caught.
"I don't know if they did, the Chancellor did not have much evidence, but they have hinted at him already, I'm scared," Sophie said more lowly as she realized she was alone, and tears began to well up in her eyes.
"I'm scared, Hazel, if any bad report comes about me, Dad is going to send me out of the country and drop me with my Relatives, I don't like it there," Sophie sobbed lightly, taking her hands to her eyes to stop the tears from rolling.
Who knew Sophie had a terrible fear, and she kept on being bossy and shutting everyone down. Hazel even got tensed, the little she knew about Sophie, Sophie always got scared of the relatives, and Hazel had no idea why.
"Sophie, it will be fine. Just relax, "Hazel consoled her as she moved closer to her, rubbing her hands against Sophie's back and wiping off the stray tears that had rolled out with the other hand.
"Nobody will find out that it's you, "Hazel comforted her, and Sophie finally regained her composure as she heard footsteps approaching the restroom. She hurriedly poured water on her face from the wash basin, and use the paper napkin to wipe off the tears and water that had become a union on her skin.
Hazel tossed over some face powder to Sophie which she applied, so she could still look good as ever, and maintain the image of her she was putting out. Sophie stared at the mirror and admired the way she looked, then made her way out of the toilet, making sneers at whoever stared at her uncomfortably. Before now, the stares she was receiving were that of admiration as she thought, but now it showed a lot of contempt and disdain that she could notice so clearly.
Cassandra stood by a large window in the foyer, overlooking the gardens. Sophie was a pain in her ass, but she still was not sure if she should just send the video and get Sophie busted. At least, before their recent incidents, they were a few times Sophie was close to her before dragging positions became the order of the day.
Her eyes caught some figures, and on closer look, she realized that it was Carl, Charles, Raymond, Alyssa, and Luciana. There was another figure that she could not see quite well. But with the ones her eyes had seen, she allowed her brain to connect the dots and fill the blank spaces, Jessie. Jessie was the other person she could not see, and she confirmed it when the figure turned to back the guys, making her stand at opposites with Cassandra.
The way the six of them stood, the guys took a distance from the girls, making them form a kind of parallel arrangement. The girls backed Cassandra from where she stood, and the guys standing opposites to her, that was why they were easier to identify.
She smiled watching them, and a frown came on her face when she remembered the encounter she had with one of them. Her mind quickly took her back to Alyssa and the possible things Alyssa experienced because of Sophie. Cassandra was left with the choice of either reporting Sophie and avenging Alyssa or deleting the video, letting everything lay low including Alyssa's pain that was going to wash away with time.
From what Cassandra could see, Alyssa was coping quite okay as she was laughing at the jokes dropped amongst them even as Cassandra could not hear them.
"What are you staring at now, are you that jobless?" a voice walked up to Cassandra and before she could turn, it became so familiar to her, "Sophie."
"It's obvious you are the person that can't stay to yourself, and you come now and call me jobless. Is that not typical of idle people, walking all about, looking for where to rent out their sorrows?"
"I don't blame you, Cassandra, I'm the person that chose to give you my useful time, when I could achieve more," Sophie scoffed.
"Useful time? I heard the Chancellor called for you earlier. Should you not be fidgeting that your sins are catching up with you?" Cassandra said, raising her brows in inquiry, "you know, probably sit in a corner and drown in your sorrow or do some charity to erase your mistakes?"
"I have no sorrow Cassandra, and do I have to repeat myself every time? How long should I tell you that it is none of your business,"
"How should I not care, when you come up to me to see if you can chew some cud to ease your fear?" Cassandra smacked her hands on her forehead, disappointed that Sophie did not realize she asked for the problem herself, "well I am the wrong cud."
"You're getting it wrong dear, I only came because I noticed you staring at someone for long, and my eyes took me to the person," Sophie folded her face a little like she cared, "it's sad that you are still admiring him even as he rejected you and is comfortably laughing with another girl. You know, I can always share your pain with you," Sophie mocked and swayed her hair, then continued walking away. Smiling at the bewildered face of Cassandra she last saw when she dropped the bomb with her words.
She just knew her words were going to get at Cassandra, as that was one incident Cassandra always tried her best to avoid. Again, Sophie was out taking wrong decisions that were going to come out at her.

"I'm sure she didn't expect it when her name got called," Carl voiced out, talking to the rest of his friends that he stood with.
"I can only imagine the look on her face, I felt sad that I was not in school to witness all of it," Jessie giggled, raising her hands to her chest.
"She deserves all of it, the only problem is that there is no proof now, but at least it has given the school a direction to point at," Raymond announced, his hands folded across his chest and his eyes staring at Alyssa.
He had reported to the school that Sophie was the perpetrator from all indications, as he had promised Alyssa. He tried carrying out his investigations, but he always arrived at dead ends, so he decided to leave it to the care of the school.

A figure walked through the foyer that led to the Chancellor's office and finally arrived at the secretary's office. With the secretary's permission, she got into the Chancellor's office, greeting him with a smile as she walked closer to his desk.
"How can I help you," the Chancellor voiced out, adjusting his round-rimmed glass that sat on the bridge of his nose like he always did.
"Sir, I am here because I have a video that showed that Miss. Sophie is the perpetrator of what happened to Miss. Alyssa recently, " the figure blurted out and the Chancellor's eyes widened in shock.
