Chapter 46: Unexpected Encounter
**Vincent**
“Get the f*ck out of my face, Liam. Or you'll regret ever coming in here.” I threatened him.
"Not until you get up from there and let loose for a while. It's night already and you're still here working your *ss off. You need to take a break, man.” He said.
I growled out in annoyance when he got even closer to where I was sitting, making me run my hand through my hair in frustration.
I waited till he got so close before I tried to grab him by the neck but he saw that coming. He had taken my phone from my table before I could say ‘jack' and had run away from me.
“What the f*ck, Liam?" I yelled out.
“If you really need your phone then come take it from me downstairs." He said, holding up the phone when he got to the door.
"Your head is seriously going to explode if you stay in this room more than you have. All I'm asking is that you have fun tonight, no one wants a crazy boss who went mad from not doing anything other than work.”
"I didn't complain to you, did I? Give me my f*cking phone back and back the hell off!” I ordered him.
He opened the door and was halfway out with a look of defiance on his face, he looked like he wasn't going to do as I say.
“If you walk out of those doors, consider your *ss tired." I threatened him.
"I'll gladly drop my resignation letter the first thing tomorrow morning if you don't enjoy yourself tonight, just come to the club with me.”
Does he ever back down?! Knowing Liam, he was going to do as he said and he'd go to that club with my phone in his hand then come back with the resignation letter tomorrow morning with the phone.
He's that serious.
“Fine." I sighed, grinding my teeth together in anger.
He pumped his fists in the air like a child who was given his favorite candy. I rolled my eyes at his antics and powered off the laptop before me while taking some documents I might need home.
I walked towards the door while he ran down the hallway as though scared. I was going to smack his head if he hadn't ran, probably the best thing for him to do.
I locked the door behind me and walked right into the elevator while he took the other one for staff.
“Can I have my phone back now?” I asked when we both got downstairs. The sky was dark already, how didn't I know that it was night already?
I clenched my jaw when he ran into his car instead, he got in before putting out his head through the car's winded down windows.
"Not until we get to the club!” He yelled and started the vat subsequently.
He was sure to get in more trouble when we eventually got to the club, that's if I didn't turn back when we got in and he's satisfied.
I got into my own car and drove out with my car on his tail since he's the one leading and knows where the hell the bar was.
He drove into one of the biggest and most popular clubs in New York city. The last time I came here was almost a year ago.
It's still the same thing, nothing much has changed here, except for the fact that it's now almost too hard to get a parking space here.
I eventually found one at the far end of the parking lot, right behind Liam. He was waiting outside my car before I even stopped the engine, I walked over to him to see him walking insanely fast towards the club's main building.
Now I get him, he wants me to go with him into the club before he hands over the phone to me.
I looked around the entrance, seeing the normal signature of every club; women dressed scantily with some men who were so drunk already and it's not even midnight yet.
The bouncer let us in without the stupid checks they do at the door. The moment we got into the club, I cussed out at the insanely loud music that met my ears.
The mixture of sweat and alcohol with drugs hit my nostrils with full force. Liam and I weaseled our way around the club till we got to the bar where we both ordered something.
When the tangy taste of the strong alcohol I ordered met my tongue, Liam placed the phone before me. I glared at him then back at the drink before me.
I downed everything in a gulp, watching as Liam gulped fearfully. “You don't know what's going to hit you when I decide to deal with you." I said.
“Who said I was scared of you? I was only pitying the poor cup, you just drank everything in it without blinking.” He fibbed.
"Well then, look, who's that?” I asked, pointing at nothing in particular behind him.
I smacked his head with my fist when he wasn't looking, he let out a low hiss of pain.
“What was that for?"
I wasn't able to answer him before we were interrupted by something, or someone.
A lady dressed in almost nothing came to stand between Liam and I, she was facing me and looked like her chest was going to fall off without how hard she was pushing it.
“Hi, what's someone as hot as you doing here all by yourself?” She purred.
I practically puked from cringe, those words and her voice mixed together was just too cringe.
“Oh, I see, you're the quiet type." She said when I didn't reply her.
"Are you just blind or you don't know how to read signs when you see one? He's not interested in you, now scram!” Liam yelled at her.
She'd probably have her self esteem shattered if I took it upon myself to reply to her. She jumped up and staggered off while throwing a glare in Liam's direction.
Now that she was out of the way, I could see Liam really well, including the person's behind him.
Someone directly behind him made my eyes wuden. Annelise?
