Chapter 51: Hide and Seek
**Michelle**
Liam's arms was around my waist as we both waltz and danced to the song playing from the speaker. I was dancing with him but my mind wasn't with him.
“Are you okay?" He asked when he saw me looking around the room as though I was looking for someone which I'm currently doing.
“I’m okay. I need to use the restroom though.” I said, stylishly taking his hand off his hand.
An understanding look came up on his face and he released me willingly.
"It's okay, you can go to him. I think I saw him somewhere around.” He smirked.
I only glared at him playfully before walking away from him, I looked around the room in search of that one person.
He was right beside the wall before a waiter passed by and he was gone in an instant that there was no traces of him anywhere again.
Someone grabbed my hand, making me jolt upright in fright. “Evelyn, you scared me." I panted, placing my hand on my chest.
“Why were you walking around like someone who's hiding away from someone?” She asked, looking at me suspiciously.
"Uh, I was searching for someone. Have you seen the CEO anywhere?” I asked her, still looking around me while talking to her.
“I think I saw him leave earlier. He looks extra scary though, it was like he was about to fight with someone.” She said.
He left already? The event hasn't even started fully. A frown foung its way to my face at that. I shrugged it off as him having an emergency.
A nagging feeling appeared in my mind though, I still think there's something wrong somewhere. Evelyn tap me again, a weirder look on her face.
“Did he do something to you? Why are you looking for him?" She asked.
“I'll tell you later, I need to look for him for now." I walked away from her with a weird smile on her face.
I ran out of the event hall and went into the parking lot where there were so much cars that I couldn't see that particular one I was looking for.
Besides, I couldn't predict or tell what car he brought to the event. My attention has been on him since we got him, how he managed to be so natural while being professional was kind of surprising.
I searched around for him, I couldn't help but think of the fact that he wasn't just okay and I had an inkling that it had to do with him.
It's a funny thinking, I know but I just can't rest when I know so well that he might be mad at me, or something concerning me.
I was still searching for him when my phone rang, it was right in my hand and vibrated. I looked at the screen to see that it was just the person I was searching around for that was calling.
I swiped up to accept the call. There was too much noise in the background that I had to keep the phone away from my ear at first then place it back, a little bit far from my ear.
“Vincent?" I said after he didn't say anything at all.
“Just who I was thinking about, how come you're everywhere?” His slurred voice came up.
"Where are you? Are you okay?”
"Of course, why would I not be fine? Your voice alone is therapeutic." He slurred.
He sounds drunk, Vincent can't just call on a normal day and say things like that.
"Where are you, Vincent?" I asked again.
“How about we do a little hide and seek, you find me and I wait for you here to come for me" He laughed into the phone.
“Vincent, you need to tell me where you are so I can come get you.” I said in a softer voice.
"Is little ol’ Michelle scared?” I heard him chuckle.
It's a hassle trying to listen to his voice, the noise in the background was too much.
“Are you inside the hall?”
"No. I'll give you a little tip though. It's a place where most people come to on Friday nights to get wasted.”
"Just tell me the name so I can come get you with Liam." I pleaded once more.
He's really not in his right senses, he's really drunk.
“Liam? Is he your boyfriend? I saw how lovey dovey you both were being." He asked.
Seeing as I wasn't going to get anything out of him, I tried to calm down. If I keep responding to him this way, we won't get anywhere.
“Can you give me another clue?” I changed the topic.
“No, find me if you're as smart as you claim to be." He said and hung up.
I ran back into the hall in search of Liam. I saw him dancing with another lady already. I dragged him out without saying anything to him.
“What the h*ll, Michelle?" He groaned as we got outside when we got outside the hall. We pushed through different drunk people who were clearly out of my mind.
It's safe to say that only those who were sober were inside. A lot of catching up was being done inside and the whole romantic stuff was just starting.
“Vincent is somewhere out there. He's drunk and he said something about me getting him myself without telling me the name of the club he was in.” I told him.
"A club?" He asked.
“Yes, he said it's like the most popular one around here.” I added.
He looked like he was deep in thought before a knowing look came up on his face.
"Oh, I know where he's talking about, let's go!" He dragged me along with him towards his car.
We both got in and he drove towards the other side of town. He stopped the car at some really fancy club that I've heard once or twice.
We got out of the car to see Vincent about to get into his car, he was staggering to get into the car and he wants to drive this way.
I ran towards him without thinking twice, he blinked his eyes open.
“You found me."
