"No!" My father yelled after the gavel had been brought down. "Morgan is not staying by herself. She is coming with us!"

"I'm sorry, but the case has already been decided." Mr. Irvine quietly spoke for the first time since the beginning of the meeting. I completely forgot he was even there to begin with. "The deal has been set."

"I am not leaving my daughter to die in your care!" My dad raised his voice, startling Celestial and myself. I had never heard my dad so angry before.

"It's too late, I'm sorry." Mr. Irvine said, lowering his head as the Council members started exiting. Mr. Irvine walked towards my dad, putting his hands on his shoulders. He looked deep into my dads eyes, before turning to me. A look of admiration, guilt, anger, and another emotion I couldn't quite tell, circled in the hazel green irises of his eyes. He smiled softly, turning back to my dad. "Chris, this is the best that I could maneuver. My power's don't come close to being THAT influential. I'm pretty sure the Elder had already caught on to what I was doing. He's stronger than he looks." Mr. Irvine half-whispered.

"Wait, you have powers?!" Sabrina choked out. Her eyes wide and mouth gaping. "Are you a-"

"I'm neither a Witch or a Warlock, Sabrina." He didn't look past my dad at Sabrina, her mouth still gaping. "Christopher, please, don't do anything to provoke them. Morgan has two years, the most, here. She will be staying at Celestial's house, Sabrina and Mark," he turned and glared at Mark, who was trying his damnest to supress the growl from escaping his lips, "will be staying with her to make sure she's safe. I've already talked to your father about it Sabrina, and he feels it would be for the best as well. We were lucky to get you exiled. Things are changing, and terrible things are coming. We must be prepared. I have always been on your side. However, my hands are tied in this instance."

My dad looked him over, his eyes glazing over like they did everytime he was deep in thought. After a few moments, my father sighed. "How long do we have to be with her before we have to leave."

"Three days."

My heart sank. I only had three days with my parents? THREE DAYS? "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!" My hands balled into fists, tears forcefully falling from my eyes. I could feel every fiber of my being being shattered like someone breaking something made of glass. Each piece was delicate, but cut anyone who tried to pick them up.

"Yes, three days is the maximum." Mr. Irvine shook his head. "As long as you are both safe, I know Morgan will be okay. You may write or call her anytime you want, but coming back here is forbidden and you will be killed on site." Mr. Irvine turned towards me, eying Sabrina and Mark as they engrossed me in the half-hugs across my shoulder. They were the only reasons I was standing at this moment. "Morgan, I know this is hard, but it's better this way. You will be allowed to come and go once you turn 18, however, be on your guard. Now that the Council knows how you feel about the *creatures*, they will stop at nothing to eradicate you from the deal.

My dad and I nodded in understanding at him. Celestial sat in her chair, as still as stone. Her hands supported her face and she wept. This wasn't exactly the outcome I was expecting, but as long as my parents were safe, that is all that mattered to me.

My dad put his hands on Mr. Irvine's shoulders, facing him in a overprotective, fatherly way. "Please Micah, please keep Morgan safe." He pleaded. Mr. Irvines gaze lowered to the ground.

"I will do my best, but I can't keep any promises." He whispered to my dad. My dad could only nod in agreement.

"Well, since we only have three days left, let's go get something to eat and relish the remaining time we have together." My dad clapped his hands together and rubbed them like he was trying to start a fire with two sticks. "The Council can suck it for all I care, but my stomach had been growling the entire time I sat there." My dad chuckled as Celestial hit his arm.

"This is not funny, Chris. We have to make preparations for Morgan, Sabrina and Mark. There is so much we have to do." Celestials voice was firm. "I don't even know where we're going to live once we leave here. It's not like either one of us bought a house outside the community."

"I have a house." Mark spoke, making me jump forgetting that he was even there. Mark's eyes met mine, like he could read my thoughts. Wait.

*"Can he read my thoughts?"* Mark simply smile and nodded. His eyes shown a bit of hurt as he remembered my previous thought.

"Where is it located at?" My dad chimed in.

"It's completely hidden in the woods, about 25 miles East of the South border of the Community. I've had it since my grandparents died. I don't want to sell it, so maybe for a litle while, you guys could stay there, free of charge." He added in and winked at me. I smiled softly, holding one of my arms with my hand.

"You had me at free of charge." My dad spoke with giddiness. I just smirked at him. *My dad could be such a child.*
