57 - Are you jealous, Mr. Aller?
-What do you mean, you're taking that bitch to the party!
-Honey, it's not a party, I already told you, it's a business meeting and she's my secretary, I need her to be with me helping me.
-I can't believe it, I really can't believe it," denied his wife effusively.
-Darling, my love. - exclaimed the CEO cautiously as he tried to approach his wife as if she were a time bomb about to explode.
-Don't call me that. - he sentenced, crossing his arms.
-It's only going to be a few hours, okay? I'll be back home before you know it.
-Listen to me Sebastian Aller, I want you back in one piece, I don't want you to smell of that slut's cheap perfume or have any new marks on you, did you hear me?
-Yes, honey," he answered automatically, giving her a chaste kiss on the lips and quickly leaving his mansion, anxious to pick up Helena at her apartment.
As they drove to the event in his private car, silence filled the air, hinting at the tension that enveloped the CEO and his secretary.
Helena knew she couldn't say no to a business party, as she shouldn't forget that she had a job as presidential secretary on her shoulders, beyond the awkwardness of going to a gala with her boss as if they were the couple of the year, the young woman knew it was the perfect place to show how good she was at her job.
Arriving at the party, Sebastian couldn't help but be surprised by how charismatic and charming Helena was. The CEO was used to being the one to steal all the looks, not just from the women, but from each and every diner. His charisma was innate, but it seemed that night the redhead was taking him by storm. And not only because of her exceptional beauty which that night was enhanced by the beautiful baggy yellow dress she was wearing, which only the CEO knew why it did not fit her beautiful body, although he would have wished it to be tight since the heir believed her swollen belly made her even more beautiful, he knew that the public should not find out about her pregnancy, at least until the news was already inevitable.
For the moment it was best to keep it a secret, especially since Katlyn had been more unbearable than ever lately. It seemed that having sex every night more than once wasn't enough for her, her insecurity about not getting pregnant was growing more and more intense.
Her secretary, was not only captivating with her beauty, but with her intelligence and her witty and sympathetic answers. The guests were amazed by her magnetic presence and her ability to captivate everyone in every conversation.
However, in the middle of the evening, Helena slipped out of sight. The CEO had been distracted in a conversation with one of the most powerful tycoons in digital technology, it was his moment to be able to close a million-dollar deal with him, leaving aside the redhead, who found herself with an old high school sweetheart, who had now become a successful millionaire.
His eyes lit up at the sight of her, and he didn't hesitate to approach her with a flirtatious smile.
-My eyes don't believe what they're seeing -Helena? Helena Deluna?
Helena turned curiously at the deep, seductive voice she had stored in her teenage memories.
-Franco? Is that you? Of course it was him. The charismatic blond she had fallen in love with in high school was now a full-fledged man - It's been a long time! - he exclaimed happily.
-You look so beautiful tonight, you sure have aged well," he joked, causing the redhead to let out an amused giggle, "What do you say we take a moment to catch up?
-It would be an honor," she exclaimed, captivated by the boy's kindness, taking his forearm and letting herself be led towards the bar.
The relationship with Franco was her first and only dating relationship, they only kissed and nothing more, then they broke up and were good friends until their paths separated. He had a very good memory of the boy who now seemed to have had the success he talked so much about when he was young.
When Sebastian noticed Helena's absence he began to look over the shoulders of the businessmen looking for her among the people. To finally and to his misfortune find her sitting at the bar talking very animatedly with a very handsome young man.
Sebastian felt he was seeing red, suddenly he cared about closing the deal.
-Excuse me, I must resolve an issue- he excused himself quickly leaving the circle, fuming and heading quickly while observing the situation with a mixture of jealousy and anguish. -
-You seem to have forgotten that we came to the event to close business.
Helena and Franco turned to the man who had appeared out of nowhere interrupting their melancholic chatter.
-Franco, this is Sebastián, my boss. Sebastián, this is Franco, a friend of mine from high school.
-In fact, high school sweethearts," corrected the young man who smiled amusedly at the man in front of him who was as red as a tomato.
The blond stretched out his hand to shake hands with the CEO, who ignored it outright.
Sebastian grabbed his secretary's wrist and pulled her away from the blond.
-We'll talk later Franco," Helena shouted, barely able to say goodbye to her friend.
-Later I'll add you to the networks! shouted the young man.
-What's wrong with you?" protested the redhead when they had moved away from the boy.
-Helena, you can't walk away from me. We're not here to flirt. You're my partner tonight, remember that," replied the CEO sourly.
Helena, surprised by Sebastian's reaction, nodded in confusion.
"Was he jealous?"
-We're leaving," he said, walking towards the exit.
-What, so fast?" the redhead exclaimed confused, running as fast as she could after the CEO.
-Are you leaving already, young Aller?" asked the tycoon as he saw the young CEO leaving in panic.
-Yes, I'm sorry, but something came up at the last minute. - he lied
-Too bad, anyway, wait for my contract in the mail tomorrow.
-What? So you're going to sign it?
-I'm more than sure that you will handle my actions well.
-Oh Mr. Smith, thank you very much, you won't regret it," exclaimed the heir excitedly as he shook the man's hand effusively.
-Don't thank me, you should thank Helena, you have a very valuable woman by your side, don't lose her," exclaimed the man and then politely kissed the redhead's hand, "it has been a pleasure Miss, I hope to see you more often in the meetings," After this the man left the man alone, leaving a stunned Sebastian and a smiling Helena.
-Maybe you should thank me," finally said the redhead.
-Yes..." he murmured, still surprised, "Thank you.
Helena smiled satisfied, a "Thank you" from her boss meant a lot from a person like him.
They both smiled shyly to each other, just when at that moment Helena felt a discomfort that made her face contract.
-What's wrong?" asked the concerned CEO, who quickly grabbed her arm.
-I think I've had a bad meal," she said, playing down the matter.
-We should go to the clinic.
-No, you'd better take me home,
The CEO obeyed, instructing the driver to take them both to the apartment.
When they were inside, the young heir checked that the young woman was lying on her bed, with a tea next to her and that she was not moving from there.
-You can go now, I'll be fine.
-No," he answered sharply, "I'm going to stay here if you need anything.
-Your wife won't be mad that you didn't come home?
-I'll come up with some excuse.
Helena didn't say anything else, she wasn't going to admit out loud that she liked the idea of Sebastian watching over her sleep, it made her feel safe and to her surprise that night she didn't have any nightmares.
