93- Epilogue
Three years have passed since the traumatic events that had Sebastian and Helena as
protagonists.
Both did not forget their promise to get married to seal their love forever, but they agreed to
wait until things were calm to do so.
Helena's priority was for Sebastian to recover one hundred percent from his injuries, and not
only from the shot in his shoulder, but also the one in his leg, doing a complete rehabilitation
that took several months, but he was finally recovered and back to being the athletic and
energetic man he had always been.
Helena could not escape from her psychological pain, after the young CEO insisted that she
should do therapy, finally the young woman accepted, with the condition that her beloved
also had his own sessions to heal his painful past, forgive his mother, accept how were the
facts of his abandonment and also to be able to let go of his brother, accepting that he could
not heal or save someone who had always had evil in his body as part of his essence.
Helena had a long road of healing in therapy, it was hard for her to talk about all the facts
without crying bitterly in each session, but finally, after reconstructing all her memories like a
puzzle, she was able to put together the traumatic pieces of her amnesia, recovering the
memory of everything that happened that day at the motel, realizing herself that all that time
had been Alan.
Sebastian always waited for her outside the office with open arms, to bring her to his chest
and comfort her from all her pain, until one last session arrived, in which Helena proudly
exclaimed "I'm discharged".
Little by little they were healing, and not only them, because Helena's younger brother, after
several trips abroad to treat his health problems, was finally healed.
Helena was finally able to see how her brother had the normal life of a young teenager, little
by little he rejoined school, he made many friends and the image of a weak and sickly child
disappeared little by little.
While all these things were happening, Esperanza grew quickly before the eyes of her
parents, who saw her say her first words, first "Mama" and then "Papa", then she took her
first steps and now, at three years of age, they were a whirlwind that had no brakes, running
everywhere in their big house with garden that they had bought far away from the city that
had given them so many misfortunes.
They were finally a happy family, even her brother had formed a great friendship with her
brother-in-law.
Helena thought of all these memories of her past with melancholy, but now that she was
slowly walking down the aisle, holding her friend David's arm, she knew that she had to keep
all that pain in a locked box, not to pretend that nothing had happened, but to give it the
closure it deserved, and from the moment she said "Yes" in front of her beloved, a new stage
would begin for her.
The few guests, because the couple had decided that it would be a private and small
wedding, applauded excitedly when Helena walked down the golden carpet towards the
altar.
Sebastian still had his back turned, and when he heard the applause he closed his eyes and
tried to send his nerves to the back, he didn't want to cry and faint from nerves.
Slowly he turned, still with his eyes closed, towards the catwalk.
She opened her black eyes, and could not help crying with emotion as she saw, first
Esperanza, walking in front of the bride, with a small wicker basket, throwing white petals in
the air, as she did, a little clumsy and tender at the same time. Sebastian smiled broadly and
lifted her in his arms as the girl reached him.
-You look beautiful, my child," he exclaimed as he saw the little white ruffled dress his
daughter was wearing.
Then Sebastian handed his little girl to his brother-in-law and looked back down the runway,
finding Helena more beautiful than ever, and as he had imagined her many times when he
had not even confessed his love for her.
The redhead was wearing a simple wedding dress, the white fabric was completely
embroidered with flowers that were scattered all over the skirt that fell without much volume
to the floor, like a soft cascade over her body. The neckline was in "V" but not very
pronounced and over her shoulders fell a thin and transparent white fabric in delicate ruffles.
Sebastian was left with his mouth open, seeing how beautiful his future wife was, her hair
was loose at the sides of her body with perfectly put together curls and a small tiara on her
head.
Helena came to Sebastian's side, and smiled shyly.
-Hi... -Hi... -Hi... -Hi... -Hi...
-Hello..." replied the young man, still in shock.
-You look great," exclaimed Helena, when she saw the suit her future husband had chosen,
she had never seen him in white, but it looked great on him.
-You too, more than ever, never take off your dress," he joked.
They both held hands, while the priest spoke.
Helena looked at the few guests they had both decided would be present at their most
special moment.
David had sat in the front row along with Helena's younger brother, who was carrying the
little girl on his lap. The redhead looked at the empty place next to her guests, imagining her
father there, smiling and excited to see that his daughter was happy at last.
-He's here with us, he wasn't going to miss his beloved daughter's wedding- exclaimed the
young CEO, knowing what his beloved was thinking about.
Helea smiled wistfully and muttered under her breath.
-Thank you daddy, for everything, you can rest in peace now.
On the other side were Sebastian's guests, Erik his only friend was crying excited to see his
friend finally getting married, next to him was Katlyn, with her three year old boy sitting right
next to her, the little boy was named Sebastian, which the couple had found amusing,
Sebastian was not the father, but the boy's face, his angry expressions were very similar to
his uncle.
Little Sebas, to Katlyn's relief, looked nothing like his father, he had blond hair like his mother
and her green eyes, he was a carbon copy of her to everyone's relief. The little boy was
always the life of the party and they had become close friends with Esperanza, as he was
the same age and they had grown up together. But Helena and Sebastian knew that day
would be the last day they would see the little boy for a long time, as Katlyn was going
abroad, to get her life back on track with a new project she had had in her head for years.
Katlyn had a dream of going on a journey of self-discovery, while helping women who had
suffered physical and psychological abuse, the blonde felt it was the only way for her soul to
finally be at peace and be able to forgive herself for all the mistakes of the past.
And next to them was Sebastian's mother, who over time had become more present in their
lives. Not only to be with her son, but to have a good relationship with her grandchildren.
Helena had been delighted with the woman, welcoming her with open arms from the first
day, Sebastian had found it harder to trust that woman again, but little by little he had a
relationship with her again, especially for his daughter who deserved to have a grandmother.
Sebastian put the ring on Helena's finger, while the people shouted excitedly, then Helena
did the same.
They looked into each other's eyes, uniting their souls which were reflected in their pupils full
of love and hope for a better future.
-I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," finally said the priest, the
long awaited phrase.
Sebastian gently took Helena's face between his hands and both kissed passionately,
sealing their love forever, in that beautiful ceremony surrounded by the people they loved, no
one in that church wished them evil, only eternal happiness for the married couple, who had
a long road of beautiful experiences and full happiness.
END.
