85 - Bring it home

Helena was in the back seat of a cab on her way to Industrias Aller S.A.
She was rubbing her hands sweaty from nerves on her legs, watching as the distance to her
destination was slowly shortening.
"I can't believe he's alive, until I see him I won't believe it" She thought as she laughed
nervously.
She looked at the buildings illuminating the night of the most expensive part of the city she
thought she would never set foot in again so she wouldn't have to remember the worst and
best moment of her life. she felt a flip in her stomach as she saw the Aller building
approaching on the horizon.
She grabbed her cell phone with trembling hands and opened David's chat, she had to leave
him a message in case he woke up and found he was nowhere to be found. She didn't want
him to think she had abandoned her family leaving them to him let alone call the police,
Sebastian had asked for discretion.
"David, I know you're not going to believe me, but Sebastian is alive and wants to see me in
his office, please take care of the kids, I'll be back as soon as I can."
And he sent on message without rereading it, because if he did he would realize what a
crazy thing he was doing.
David woke up in the middle of the night because of the girl's crying from her room, he
automatically got up, although he was not Esperanza's father he had no problem helping his
friend with the baby's chores.
The young man knew that Helena had had a difficult day after hearing the fateful news, he
wanted her to rest until the morning, at least that night.
Shhhh little one, David is already here," he whispered, lifting her in his arms and rocking her
back to sleep, but the girl wouldn't stop crying, "Or do you want the mema," he asked seeing
the pout on the baby's face, "you sure are a big eater," he exclaimed amused, carrying the
girl to Helena's room.
-Helena... Esperanza is hungry," he exclaimed, entering the darkened room.
He was about to close the door and prepare a bottle with solution for her, but a strange
feeling invaded him and he shouted at her to turn on the light.
David turned it on and held on to the baby tightly so that she wouldn't fall out of his hands
from fright when he saw that the bed was empty and made up, as if she had never gone to
bed.
She quickly grabbed her cell phone with the intention of calling Helena, but was met with a
message from her friend.
She read it over and over, unable to believe what she was seeing on the screen.
David tried to call her.
-Answer please, Helena, have you lost your mind," he said.
Helena didn't answer the call
-Damn it," he growled, knowing he couldn't go out looking for her with the kids home alone.
Sebastian stopped in front of David's building and looked at what he thought was the window
of his apartment. He felt he was so close to her, just a few feet away from meeting the love
of his life again and begging her to let him back into her life so he would never leave again.
He knew that by this time the baby had already been born, he prayed that Helena would let
him meet him.
He entered the building, taking advantage of the unlocked door and climbed up to the floor
remembering that day when Helena had shouted at him to leave his life forever, he still didn't
understand how the young woman had come to the conclusion that he...he....
Sebastian couldn't even think that word, he would never do anything she didn't want. Only a
monster could have hurt such a pure woman.
He arrived at the door of the apartment and, armed with courage, knocked twice, nervously
waiting to be answered, he knew it wasn't visiting hours, but he hoped someone would listen
to him, because he couldn't wait for tomorrow, it had been months without seeing or hearing
that beautiful woman with hair like fire.
The door opened with a bang.
Helena?
Sebastian knew that he had not exclaimed aloud the name of his beloved, but it had been
David, who was on the other side, with a worried expression on his face, but when the young
man recognized Sebastian on the other side and not Helena, his face turned into an
expression of confusion.
-Sebastian?" he exclaimed in confusion.
-Yes, I'm not dead- he exclaimed trying to contain the urge to get into the apartment and look
for Helena on his own- Is Helena there? Please don't tell me no, I really need to see her
David, I know you hate me, but....
-Wait," the man interrupted him, as he grabbed his head in confusion, "Wait a minute,
where's Helena," he growled.
-What are you talking about, she's not here? - he exclaimed in panic.
"Had Helena gone far away, disappearing forever?" No, Sebastian couldn't stand another
abandonment.
-David came out of the apartment, closed the door behind him and grabbed him by the shirt,
shaking him hard.
-Don't tell me you don't know where my friend is? She left me a message saying she came
to see you because you were alive! And now you show up here looking for her? Is this a bad
joke? If it's to take you to her baby....
-Helena came to see me," she exclaimed in panic, ignoring everything else the man had
said.
The image of his brother with a grotesque expression was the first thing that came to his
mind.
Now it was Sebastian who grabbed David by the shirt and shook him hard.
-Tell me where David went, it wasn't me who sent that message.
-To your office, she said you were waiting for her in your office," he said worriedly, "Then who
was it? What the fuck is going on Sebastian?
Sebastian didn't answer him, he let go of David and started running down the hallway.
-Sebastian.
The young CEO, who was now breathing heavily like a bloodthirsty beast, stopped suddenly
and turned to David.
Please bring her safely back to her family.
Sebastian nodded his head
-I promise.
David nodded, trusting the man, who, even if he hated him he knew would protect his friend.
