75 - Now you are an Aller
Katlyn was devastated, her face was full of tears as she walked from one corner to the other in the hall of the mansion she shared with Sebastian.
She didn't care that her husband killed Alan, everything would be better if that man was dead, but what the blonde feared was that it would be the other way around. The youngest Aller could be so sadistic and ruthless that she feared he would defeat Sebastian.
Hours had passed and worst of all, Sebastian wasn't answering the phone.
She was about to go to look for her husband when she heard the front door open and ran to meet her beloved.
-Sabastian! -she cried- I really thought that ....
The blonde could not continue with her sentence, because as soon as the door opened she found a man who was not her husband.
-What are you doing here?" she cried, frightened and bumping into a piece of furniture as she tried to get as far away from the sinister man as she could. -You can't be here! Get out, you sick bastard! - she screamed in a sea of tears, looking everywhere in search of a way out to escape from those sadistic eyes staring at her.
Alan smiled in amusement.
-This is how you welcome me to your love," he exclaimed offended, as if he was really hurt by the blonde's cruelty, "You shouldn't treat me like this, my dear. From now on, you're going to see me more often, you should get used to it.
-What are you talking about?
-This is going to be my house now.
-What did you do with Sebastian? -You bastard! - she shouted, rushing at the youngest Aller, trying to hit him.
But the man held her wrists tightly, making her scream in pain.
-Sebastian won't bother us anymore.
Katlyn was crying, almost falling to the ground if it wasn't for Alan holding her wrists tightly.
-You bastard, you killed your own brother?
Alan carelessly let go of the blonde's wrists, causing her to fall hard to the ground. He walked past her, ignoring her completely and went straight to the couch, sitting cross-legged, watching the woman crawl across the floor.
-Go away... this is not your home.
-You don't understand, do you?" he said pouring himself a glass of whiskey he had on the table next to him, "Now this house is mine and therefore so are you," he exclaimed calmly taking a sip of the drink.
His mocking face changed to a somber one and he threw hard the glass shattering it against the floor, scaring the blonde, who crawled away from Alan, who was now walking again towards the blonde.
He grabbed her mercilessly by the hair, forcing her off the ground.
-So you better hope that child inside you that is mine is a boy.
-Nooo! You're not keeping my baby!
-You should be grateful that I chose you to be the mother of my heir and not Helena," she shouted, shaking the blonde.
-What?
Alan laughed with annoyance.
-Another idiot who doesn't realize anything," he denied disappointedly, "I really thought you were a smarter girl, Katlyn.
-I have no idea what you're talking about," she said between sobs.
-Helena's baby is mine," he said victoriously, "As is yours, so I recommend that you see to it now that that child is a boy or I will not hesitate to discard you. Remember that you are lucky, you can still have your life of luxury and superficiality, you should kiss my feet," he said, going up the stairs to proclaim the matrimonial room as his.
-I'll wait for you in the bedroom," he exclaimed and then disappeared.
Katlyn slid to the floor with a stunned look staring at a fixed point in the distance.
It was all starting to make more sense and she felt like throwing up.
"Alan was the father of Helena's baby?"
-So he...
The woman covered her mouth and stifled a scream as the truth dawned on her.
Alan had been the man who had abused Helena, who had sent the emails, who had uploaded the video at her wedding!
He had been all along. He had always been there, working in the shadows, as if they were all unwitting puppets of him, to finally achieve his purpose.
Now Katlyn understood it all, she had served Helena on a platter to that monster and life had punished her for her wrongdoings committed against that poor girl.
Both had been victims of the same man and now she could put herself in Helena's shoes.
But the redhead was now the luckier one, for now Katlyn had become the beast's prisoner.
Alan lay down on his new bed and felt the sheets, running his hands over the fabric.
-Now I will be the one to lie with your wife in this bed and take your life.
The youngest Aller dialed a number on his cell phone.
-You know what you have to do," he said, cutting the call quickly, "Katlyn, are you coming already?
Sebastian drove on automatic and his unconscious took him to the cemetery, the one he had not visited in more than 10 years, he had promised himself not to visit his late mother anymore, the past only made him weak and the resentment of having been abandoned and left to die with a violent man like his father had been, had been something he could never forgive.
But now, being an adult, but with a broken soul and needing a mother, he got out of his car.
It was night and the cemetery was closed, but he couldn't wait for tomorrow, he didn't know if he would still be on this earth when the sun rises.
He climbed the gate and jumped over to the other side, and walked through the niches and trees, even though it had been years, he still remembered the path to his mother's grave.
-Hello mother," he whispered with a broken voice and knelt down in front of the plaque that was placed in the green meadow. The stone was covered with grass, not having been visited by anyone in a long time.
Carefully he removed the roots and mold, cleaning as best he could the plaque that read.
"Here lies Isabella Aller Beloved wife and mother. Rest in peace."
-Beloved wife- muttered the CEO angrily-yes indeed....
The eldest Aller looked at the sky above him and found that a gray cloud was gradually blocking the light of the full moon, leaving everything in darkness.
-Mother... Why did you go away? Why did you leave me with that monster? - she sobbed like a little child.
-How could you never tell me he wasn't my biological father? You couldn't even leave that damn house," he sobbed.
Sebastian shook his head and wiped the bitter tears from his face.
-If only you had left that house and not had Alan, maybe we would have been happy, just the two of us," he exclaimed, wishing for a life he was never going to have.
"Maybe he couldn't leave, maybe he had no choice" The voice in his mind told him.
Suddenly the CEO remembered the words his half-brother had said to him cruelly earlier that afternoon.
"The papers don't lie. My father took care of your father, gave him a good sum of money to shut him up And you know what, he had no problem leaving you. You can't blame Dad that your own father was a stinking rat... He did what needed to be done! It was a disgrace to the family that the firstborn wasn't an Aller."
"-And mother?"
"-From her too, for a slut!"
Sebastian felt on his face the first drops that warned him that a storm was coming, but the young man didn't react, he was still repeating Alan's words in his mind trying to read between the lines.
"From her too."
"Dad took care of her too."
-Take care of her?" he exclaimed aloud and looked at the ground beneath his feet with an idea that invaded his mind and made his body shudder- Will it be?" he said with a trembling voice- Forgive me mother for what I am about to do.
With his mind blinded by pain and betrayal and the hope of somehow regaining the life he never had and wanting to know the truth that his late father had always deprived him of, he dug his fingers into the earth that was gradually becoming wet and turning to mud by the torrential rain that fell on top of him.
With desperation and with his tears mixed with the rainwater and his mud covered suit, the one that had always made him someone he never wanted to be, he dug and dug breaking his nails, bleeding and with his arms numb from not stopping for a second.
An adrenaline rush gave her the strength she needed to do that, repeating like a mantra in her mind.
"Forgive me mom, forgive me mom."
-I need to know the truth before I do something crazy- he exclaimed, but his voice was not heard because of the thunder bursting above him.
The well began to fill with water and he slipped in, falling against something hard, which was the wood of Isabella Aller's drawer.
-What am I doing?" he exclaimed in panic as he came to. He looked up and tried to get out, but it was impossible, the mud was slippery and he fell against the wood again.
He felt a voice telling him there was no turning back.
"Don't be afraid of the truth."
With his hands numb and feeling no pain, he pulled out after several attempts, the wood, until a piece came out and he closed his eyes tightly, fearing to meet what was obviously inside.
But slowly he opened his black eyes, finding on the other side of the hole the soft and now yellow cloth that covered the inside of the coffin.
Quickly he removed as best he could the wood, tearing it as he went.
