CHAPTER 16

IRIS' POV:-

Chris and Cassie left for their very first date. I was really happy for them. Finally they both are together. That's all matter for me, happinesses of my brother and my best friend. I turned around and found my mom glaring at me. I smiled and asked her.

Iris: What?

Stella: You knew about it all, didn't you?

Iris: I don't know what you're talking about?

Stella: Iris, I'm asking you something.

Liam: Please don't kill my daughter Stella.

Stella: What's wrong with you Liam. You and I both know how much age difference they have. They won't work.

Liam: And how do you know that they won't work?

Stella: You and I both have seen this world. They are kids. I have never heard of anything like this work longer.

Liam: This is new to you but for me, it's a deja Vu.

Stella: What do you mean by deja Vu?

Liam: Just have a little faith in both of them. They know what they are doing. Don't judge them too early.

I thought it would be better to leave my father to convince my mom. I knew only dad could make her understand. Chris and Cassie were the cutest couple I've ever seen. They fight each other, they tease each other, they cry together and they laugh together as well. Chris never opened up with anyone, none of us knew Chris from inside but for Cassie, he's been an open book. She knows him, inside out. I went back to my room and strip my clothes off. I went to the bathroom and took a long warm bath. As the hot water touched my body, I felt all my tensed muscles relaxed. After 30 minutes long bath and relaxation, I grabbed a towel, dried my body, then wrapped it on my body. After covering my body and head with towels I went back to my room. As I walked out of the bathroom, someone grabbed me and pushed me to the wall. I would have screamed if I wouldn't have recognized the person by his scent. It was Scott. He covered my mouth with one hand to block my screams.

Scott: Calm down lovely. You won't scream and I'll make sure these towels won't hit the ground.

Iris: Ummmmmmmm…..

Scott: What?

I pointed my finger to his hand that was on my mouth, then he came to understand what I was trying to say.

Scott: Sorry.

Iris: What the hell is wrong with you? What are you doing here?

Scott: I missed you. You weren't answering your phone. So I thought a little surprise would not hurt.

Iris: Your little surprise scared the hell out of me.

Scott: Okay fine. I'm sorry. I wanted to see you.

Iris: How did you get in to my room? I've locked the door.

Scott: No you haven't.

Iris: Scott, don't you dare lie to me. I know you very well.

Scott: Alright fine. I climbed through the window.

Iris: What?

Scott: What could I do? Your mom was yelling at your dad. So I decided to use window instead of your door. By the way why is she yelling at your dad?

Iris: Chris kissed Cassie in front of everyone one and confessed his love too. Now they both are on date and my mom is fuming down stairs.

Scott: He did what?

Iris: Why are you so shocked? Sooner or later this was going to happen.

Scott: Yeah but I thought they are avoiding public.

Iris: Yes but how far they could have gone with that. I'm happy that Chris finally made his decision.

Scott: And how Cassie reacted on all this?

Iris: She was shocked like you. I don't know what changed his mind but I'm happy for both of them. They deserve a happy life.

Scott: Me too.

Scott's phone rang and he picked it up.

Scott: "Agent Lu. Yes ….. yes ….. okay….. where….. what…… okay fine send me the location I'm on my way."

Saying that he cut the call and looked at me again.

Scott: Sorry babe. I gotta go now. But I will come back to have a little moment with you.

He pecked my lips and climbed down from my window.

CHRIS' POV:-

After our first date, we drove back to my Villa. Cassie eyes were shining with hope again. She was happy after so long. I didn't tell her anything about Mr and Mrs Stevenson. We reached to the Villa, stepped out of the car and walked together. As we stepped in to the Villa I heard my mother yelling. She was the most calmed person I've ever known. Cassie held my hand tightly and spoke.

Cassie: Chris!

Chris: It's okay Candy. You go to your room. I'll talk to them.

Cassie: Are you sure. I can come with you, we are in this together.

I pecked her forehead to assure her that it's fine.

Chris: I'll be fine. You go to your room. I'll see you in a bit. Don't worry too much. It's gonna be okay.

She smiled and pecked my cheek. Then she left and I went to the kitchen where my parents were arguing about my relationship.

Stella: It's not gonna do any good to anyone Liam. She had been through a lot and so was Chris. I don't want any of them to get through any sort of pain ever again.

Liam: you're over reacting.

Stella: Mark my word. You all will regret this decision.

She said and excited the kitchen without sparing me a single glance. I never thought she would react like that. But I couldn't blame her. She cared for both me and Cassie. My father looked at me with a smile and said.

Liam: Come with me son. We need to talk.

We went to the dinning table and sat together. My father patted my shoulder and asked.

Liam: Are you okay son?

Chris: I'm fine dad. Don't worry about me.

Liam: I am your father Christopher. It's my duty to worry about you, to take care of you. No matter how old you have gotten, you're still my young boy. And I worry because I love you.

Chris: I know dad. Thank you for everything you have done for me. I just wasn't expecting her to react like this.

Liam: Don't worry about her. She'll be fine. You tell me, do you love her?

Chris: Of course dad, I do. You know me I'm not that player kind. It took me long enough to realize but I know she's the one for me.
No Matter What.
