CHAPTER 49

CASSIE'S POV:-



THREE YEARS LATER:-




Iris and I exited the meeting room and went straight to the office we both used. We both used one room as our office. And everyone was surprised as we never even argued with each other. Our partnership was stronger and more reliable.


Three years passed after that day. Everything was good. I never told my dad that I knew the truth. But with the help of detective Dean and Scott, I finally learned the whole truth about my biological parents. Turned out, Hendrick Black was not actually that kind of monster. My biological father was the real monster.


What he did to my mother, I just bore the consequences. His sins and the pain my biological mother went through, I was fated to hear it all so I could understand why my father never told me that I was adopted. And not just that, I had to pay for the sins my biological father had committed. What they say, you have to clear the accounts of your dead parents. Well, technically, that monster was still alive but he never knew that I was alive. He was told that I died with my mother.


Three years ago, my life was about to end but the very person who destroyed my life, he was the one who saved my life as well. The very next day, I found out that I was pregnant. Hendrick Black, the monster of my life was the one who had saved my life along with the life of my unborn child. I had never felt any emotions for him except for hatred. But after what happened, I just could not hate him anymore.


It took me some time to understand and with the help of my hubby, I was able to forgive him and forget everything.


My dad got himself transferred in New York. And Katy and Jack as well settled in Brooklyn. As everyone knew, Chris never got his hands in the Hunt's business. After when I gave birth to my baby boy, my first born, Liam Hunt Jr. Mr Hunt decided to retire as he just could not give up the time with his grandson. He named Iris and me as the new CEOs of Hunt's Techs. He knew that Iris and I were great with our partnership. That was the reason he decided to hand the whole business to us.


I did not have only one baby. I was the mother of three children. Liam, Sandra and Bella. Sandra and Bella were twins. But I never actually got any difficulty while taking care of my children. Stella and Mr Hunt were very supportive. All three of them were attached with their grandparents. I used to get them after the birth only when I needed to feed them. Otherwise, my children were always with their grandparents. Mr Hunt and Stella were not just supportive but also loving and caring. And whenever dad would visit, Mr Hunt and dad would challenge each other to get my babies to sleep with them.


I bid Iris goodbye as she drove away. I hopped into my car and drove towards Chris' school. My car had candies and chocolates for the children of Chris' school as always. I parked my car in the parking lot and I heard squeals. I smiled and did not bother to lock my car. As the kids ran towards my car, I walked towards the main office building. I opened the door to his office and he looked up. He smiled and signalled me to come in.


I stepped into the room and locked the door. I went to him and sat on his lap. He raised a brow at me and I leaned over his ear.


Cassie: I have some private accounts to clear up with you.


I whispered in his ear seductively and sucked his earlobe. He moaned softly and grabbed me by my hips. He stood up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He took me to the room he had made behind his office for our steamy moments.


He gently laid me down on the bed and kissed me slowly. As if he was tasting my mouth after years. But in reality, we kissed each other last before we both hopped into our cars in the morning. He broke the kiss and smirked mischievously. My eyes widened and I shook my head to stop him from doing what he always had done. He nodded his head and tore my dress off of my body. He was about to attack when he noticed something. His eyes widened in shock as he read the message I had written on my belly with my eyeliner. He sat on the edge of the bed and quickly pulled me on his lap again.



Chris: Is it a prank or is it true?


He asked me in a shocked tone and I could not help but giggle. I cupped his face and pecked his cheek.


Cassie: It is true, Chris. I am pregnant again. You will become a father again. I will be a mother. It will be fun.


I replied in an exciting tone. He stood up with me in his arms. He started dancing in excitement and I slapped his shoulders to put me down.


Chris: I can't believe it. We are going to be parents again. You know, I want to kill that man who told me that the excitement will not be the same with the next pregnancy period. He said I would not be excited after my first baby. To be honest, I am more excited than the last one, every time.


He replied and I giggled shyly. He pinched my chin lightly and guided my lips to his. He pecked my lips and I smiled.


Cassie: Come on. Give me something to wear. I did not even tell Stella or Mr Hunt. We have to inform them as well. You are not planning to sit here all day and enjoy seeing me naked.


I asked him with a raised brow and he chuckled. He stood up and went to the wardrobe. He pulled out a dress of mine and helped me wear it. Once done, he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the parking lot where he had his car parked. We both hopped into his car and he started the engine. He looked at me and I nodded my head with a wide smile on my face. He chuckled and drove towards our home, The Hunt's mansion.
