CHAPTER 32

CHRIS' POV:-

Mrs Rutherford: Then let's go and talk to the owner of this rental house.

She replied and stood up. I also stood up and we both walked towards the door. I opened the door and we stepped out of the house. I took her to the owner's house and rang the doorbell. He opened the door in a minute. He looked at Mrs Rutherford and bowed his head in respect.

Mr Grill: Mrs Rutherford, you came to my house. This must be my lucky day.

Mr Grill said and that made me think who she actually was. I was staring at them both with my mouth agape. Mrs Rutherford cleared her throat and I came back to reality. Mrs Rutherford signalled Mr Grill and he opened the door wide for us to come in.

Mrs Rutherford did not waste any more time. She pulled out her phone from her bag and opened the gallery. Mrs Rutherford showed Mr Grill some photos, I was able to see those as well.

Mrs Rutherford: Did you see this man who was taking Mrs Hunt?

Mrs Rutherford asked Mr Grill and held her phone in front of his eyes. He stared at the photos for a good minute then he nodded his head.

Mr Grill: Yes, Mrs Rutherford. It was him. I can not forget that ugly bastard.

He replied in an angry tone. Mrs Rutherford raised her brows and we both exchanged looks.

Mrs Rutherford: Looks like you really do not like him. Can I ask why?

Mrs Rutherford asked him and he chuckled darkly.

Mr Grill: I have my own daughters. I can understand how it feels to have one abducted like this. If my son would be here, he would have stopped that bastard. I am sorry Mr Hunt, I could not do much for that poor girl. But don't you worry, Mrs Rutherford will soon bring her back, unharmed.

Mr Grill replied and we both nodded our heads.

Mrs Rutherford: Can you tell me what you saw? What really happened with Mrs Hunt? Tell me everything.

Mrs Rutherford asked Mr Grill and he nodded his head.

Mr Grill: I stepped out of my house to do some workouts, like I do everyday. I saw Mrs Hunt stepped out of the house. She did not see me but I saw her. She went straight to the garage. There was a car parked in front of her house. As she opened the garage, a man stepped out of that car and he quickly walked towards Mrs Hunt. He had a handkerchief in his hand. As he went closer to Mrs Hunt, he covered her mouth and her nose with that handkerchief. In a few seconds, I saw Mrs Hunt lost consciousness.

Mr Grill replied and Mrs Rutherford nodded her head.

Mrs Rutherford: Mr Hunt told me you were here with some people from the neighborhood. How many people were you exactly?

She asked Mr Grill.

Mr Grill: Including me, we were seven men.

He replied.

Mrs Rutherford: And seven men together failed to save a woman, why?

Mrs Rutherford asked him the same question I wanted to ask.

Mr Grill: As he was dragging her towards his car, I started shouting. Other men also came out and we all went to him. But before we could do anything for Mrs Hunt, he pulled his gun out of his jacket pocket and put it on Mrs Hunt's head. He said, if anyone came near me, I will first shoot her then myself. So there will be no more fuss. Who would have cared about that bastard, but I was worried about that poor girl. That was why we all stepped back. Including me, all other six men were also old. Or otherwise, we would have done something to save her.

Mr Grill replied and she nodded her head again. Mrs Rutherford patted his shoulder and gave him a small smile.

Mrs Rutherford: Mr Grill, you did whatever you could. Leave rest upon me. The information you have given me is more than enough for anyone to find her. Don't worry, by the sun set, she will be back home, safe and sound.

She replied and Mr Grill nodded his head. Mrs Rutherford stepped out of the house and I followed her.

Mrs Rutherford: You can go back home now Mr Hunt. You should go and tell everything to agent Wolf. While I will search your wife and bring her back home. Make sure I will find you home when your wife will be back. She will need you.

Mrs Rutherford said and I nodded my head. She was right. Cassie would need me whenever she would come back. And I wanted to be there for her. So I did as I was told. I went towards the rental house and Mrs Rutherford went towards her car. She hopped into her car and quickly drove off. I also stepped into the house and went towards the kitchen to cook something for Cassie.

CASSIE'S POV:-

I opened my eyes only to find myself into an unknown place. My head felt like someone had hit my head with a hammer. I felt sleepy and tired. I shut my eyes and tried to remember what happened. Then I remembered, I was going to the market to buy some milk so I would make Chris his favorite breakfast. And before I would have hopped into my car, someone covered my mouth and I smelled that hideous smell again.

I sat up and looked around. Then I saw him again. The devil of my life. He was standing by the window, looking at the sky that was changing its colors. That made me realize that I was out cold for only God knows how many hours. My heart was near to stop and my palms were getting sweaty. The only person I did not want to see in my life, the only person I prayed not to see again, had abducted me again. And I did not know how and when my dad and Chris would find me. Last time, it took them almost a year to get me out of that hell.

I hugged my stomach tightly as I remembered that Chris and I were planning to start a family together. His seed was inside me and I wanted to start my family with Chris. But I did not know if Hendrick would rape me again, would Chris be able to accept me and my child. Only God knew why l was being tested like that again. I did not understand what harm I had done to go through that hell again.

Hendrick Black: Finally, you are awake!

I heard the voice of the devil and my heart almost jumped out of my rib cage because of the fear I was feeling inside my chest.
