CHAPTER 46

HENDRICK BLACK'S POV:-


Hendrick: You asked for it.


I said as I stood up again. As she saw me fuming in anger, Mrs Wolf let go of my mother's throat. She shivered as I glared at her angrily. I could bear anything upon myself. But never upon my mother. She was an innocent woman. Who had nothing to do with my sins and my crimes. Mrs Wolf thought that I was keeping my mouth shut because I was worried about my reputation. I never cared about my reputation. Otherwise I would never have forced myself upon a woman in the first place. As per my mother, she was innocent and Mrs Wolf had awakened the monster inside me.



Hendrick: You asked for it. It was not me who paid Jo and his gang. Agent Wolf, your wife was the one who paid them to kill Cassandra. She was the one who paid them. I know what I did was horrible. But at least my mother is not a monster like you. She did not try to kill me. Or paid a gang to abduct Cassandra and kill her. Why don't you tell that to your husband? I abused her but you were the one who threw her in that hell hole.


I roared at Mrs Wolf and she went pale again. She turned to look at her husband who was as surprised as Cassandra was. She looked at me and gritted her teeth.


Agent Wolf: What is he talking about, Christy? What does he mean?


Agent Wolf asked in a confused tone. Mrs Wolf went to her husband and tried to grab his hands but he did not even let her touch him.


Cassandra: Mom, tell me he is lying? You can not do that? You are my mother. I know, I am not your favorite child but mom, you can not do this.


Cassandra asked her mother in a shocked tone. But Mrs Wolf did not even look at her. She cupped the face of her husband and made him look at her face. Agent Wolf was staring at my face ever since I had told everyone about the little dark secret of his wife.


Katy: Don't be so sure, Cassie. Like the witch she is, she can do anything.


Cassandra's sister, Katy said as she entered the courtroom. Everyone turned around and stared at her.


Agent Wolf: Katy, what are you doing here, my little bunny?


Agent Wolf asked his other daughter. Katy went to Cassandra and hugged her tightly. She then broke the hug after a minute and held Cassandra's hands.


Katy: If it wasn't for Jack's mom, I would have been with you at your wedding. It took me long to realize that I would be alone like our mother if I would try to be like her. That was why, when I was given an opportunity, I availed it.


She said and Cassandra shook her head. They shared another hug but this time it was with their father. Katy then turned towards her father with her eyes red in anger.


Katy: When I learned the truth, I came here straight to inform you all as well. Dad, mom is the one behind it all. Jack and I have been after this for a very long time. We learned that truth when we went back to Washington DC after Cassie's abduction. Jack saw her meeting some strangers. At first, I thought it would be her clients but then I heard a man talking to her that the gang was paid twice the amount of money she had paid to the to kill Cassandra. Since then, I and Jack were searching for the truth. Whatever Hendrick Black is saying, it is the truth.


She said and agent Wolf turned to look at her wife. He gritted his teeth and I smirked as her real face was unmasked in front of the world. Mr Wolf went to his wife and glared at her.


Agent Wolf: Do you have anything to say, Christy?


He asked her angrily and she shivered with fear evident in her eyes.


Christy: It's a lie. They all are lying. Dav, honey. You know I would never do that.


She said while trying to hug her husband. She wrapped her arms around her husband but he did not move an inch. Cassandra went to her.


Detective Dean: Then why were you visiting the kidnappers and why even bother to meet and beg the very person who had abused your daughter, Mrs Wolf?


Detective Dean asked and she broke the hug. She was staring at detective Dean with her eyes wide open in shock.


Christopher: Yes, we know everything. And guess what, we have evidence and eye witnesses.


Christopher said in a taunting tone.


Agent Lu: Not just that. Turns out, the threatening messages Cassie showed me, they were not sent by Hendrick Black or his men. It was a woman who bought the phone and the sim. According to the description, the woman was in her mid fifties, blonde hair, smart, tall, stunning and very fashionable. We took our sketch artist and your face popped up on the paper we gave him. I would not call it a coincidence.


Agent Lu said as he showed the sketch to agent Wolf. Agent Wolf grabbed the paper and stared at it with his eyes filled with pure rage. He pushed his wife away and I saw something in her hand.


Hendrick: Cassandra, look out!!!


I yelled loudly. But before anyone could understand what was happening, Mrs Wolf pointed the gun of her husband on Cassandra's head.


Christy: Another step towards me or if anyone tried to play smart with me, I will blow her head off. Hands in the air everyone.


She said and everyone did as she had told. Cassandra was crying while she dragged her out of the courtroom. Even the police were not able to do anything. And about the others, they were still in shock.


Hendrick: Why is anyone not doing anything? She will kill her.


I yelled loudly and that was when everyone turned to look at me.
